  1. Cleveland fans on Browns Wire seem less than thrilled. 3 1st round picks + is beyond mortgaging the future, plus the real details of Watson's "peculiarities" have not even come out in any courtroom (Which they will). The worst is yet to come. Since the $230M is guaranteed, the Browns are on the hook either way. Been a lot of positive posts here about this being a good move by the Browns. Pretty odd given the circumstances and so many individuals involved. One wonders if Watson was up for possible murder charges, if that would have even mattered? It really is a QB driven league.... At all costs evidently.
  2. If they don't win the AFC East heads will roll, and they'll be anarchy in the streets. The Bills have ransomed EVERYTHING to win the SB over the next 2 years. The Pats have done less than nothing, and the Dolphins and Jets are still a few years away from playoff caliber. The Bills schedule is NOTHING like last years walk in the park, and will be loaded with difficult Sunday, and Monday night games. The pressure is on like never before. They better be ready.
  3. Miller played 63% of the defensive snaps last year between the Broncos and Rams. That is slightly below his average, and sounds about right.
  4. Totally idiotic post. They need to get the playoffs, with home field advantage first. That won't happen if Miller is being "rested" for the hoped for post season that might not happen if were relying mainly on mostly unproven defensive line players. What owner in their right mind would pay $70M guaranteed, for a player as you say "They shouldn't be relying on for most of the regular season games"! Maybe you should lay off quoting drunken WGR callers comments for your talking points.
  5. Rogers might be having buyers remorse. I'm assuming he knew this might happen? You wonder how much having Adams made Rogers look good?
  6. Monster deal!! Bills on the move. Hopefully he can also have a positive impact on Rousseau and Basham. 6 years seems excessive. We've been saying Jerry Hughes is getting old for 2 years. He's the same age as Miller!! Bills better win this year, as they'll be scrapping nickels next year.
  7. This from the Tampa Bay Times last week - "Howard has yet to play a full, healthy season for the Buccaneers during his four years in the league. Two decent seasons with 14 games total have been the sparse highlights for Howard, but the Bucs can’t lock him up for the future without a departure from the constant injuries and inconsistent play". Howard was the 19th pick in the 2017 draft, and the Bucs had to go out and sign Gronk for $12M in 2020. At least the Bills didn't overpay.
  8. I'm going to miss his presence in the locker-room.... Bills moves so far have been pretty meager. Many of the big names have been snatched up. Looking more likely the Bills will re-sign Hughes and/or Addison.
  9. Spotrac had Wallace valued at $9.2M per year. He signs for less than half of that? Or did he get $8M per year? Can't believe the Bills wouldn't have matched that deal? Or maybe they don't believe he was even worth $4M per year? If Wallace signed for $4M per, than Spotrac is a joke, and has no value when trying to forecast talent value. I don't believe a team with SB aspirations can start a rookie at CB. Especially with a late 1st round pick.
  10. This is a great Beane signing. Gives the Bills a sturdy RB, who blocks like a TE. and is one of the best RB pass catchers in the league. People here have notorious short memories, Singletary was a non-factor for 3/4 of the season, and posters here wanted him and Moss gone. (Plenty of evidence in the not to distant archives). Amazing how many posters here have stated they "Never heard of Mckissic". Do you folks just follow Bills games only, and turn the NFL off when the Bills aren't playing? Beane is working his magic once again.
  11. Tough to see Phillips go. But too much $$$ to retain him (But only because of the Cap issues) . Bills defensive line now has some serious holes. The bottom line is that Phillips - Hughes - Addison - Wallace, were all significant contributors to the Bills #1 Defense in 2021, and will soon ALL be gone. Unfortunately, Rousseau - Basham - Epenesa (And maybe Settle?)are expected to replace these players and have proven zilch. Even if the Bills sign a stud like (Chandler Jones?) that still will not fill the holes of those who left. Bills have much work to do if they are to maintain a solid SB caliber defense.
  12. Seems like a dumpster dive to me. The Bills are now a consensus Super Bowl contender. Their acting like their the Pittsburgh Pirates. Bills have limited money to spend, and need proven players. They are loosing Addison, Hughes, and very likely Wallace. who were all still very productive last year. Who knows what Rousseau - Basham - Epenesa can do? They proven next to nothing. This is just another questionable player. Buffalo has a legitimate team, time to start acting like it.
  13. This gives the Bills nation a chance to kick is old arse in the super bowl!! No reason to be fearful. It's all good.
  14. Beans continues to work hard to keep the core members of the Bills family together. Just an excellent signing. The papers in Philly sounded like he was about to sign their. Now if they can keep Phillips, and sign either Hughes or Addison to a "Team friendly" contract, the key Bills FA's are in the books.
  15. It's about time Buffalo got a piece of the New York stadium monies. I have no qualms with tax payer monies going to stadiums. $1B amortized over 30 years divided by 12,500,000 New York State tax payers comes out to about $2.65 per taxpayer per year. Not subtracting the stadium and player salary taxes collected. A bargain for Buffalonians. People spend that much on Snicker Bars in a week.
  16. Agreed. Not every signing is going to be a blockbuster. People need to relax.
  17. Absolutely nothing exciting to see here. This guy hasn't been a factor anywhere in years. Just because he wore a Bills helmet at some point shouldn't warrant ANY excitement. The Bills are a consensus SB contender this year. Possibly signing Lawson does not move the Bills competitive needle one bit.
  18. What? In the NFL your nowhere if you don't have a top tier QB. Wilson is still in his prime and has been playing for a team that had one of the worst O-Lines in the league. The Broncos were an afterthought, and are now #2 in the AFC West, and likely a top 6 team in the AFC. Draft picks don't matter much when the likes of Drew Lock is your QB. I think the Broncos got off cheap.
  19. Yeah, we remember. Your really good at predicting the obvious. What's the next bold prediction, Haack?
  20. Amazing how many Bills posters get willingly bamboozled into responding to idiotic, totally unproven click-bait headlines. Is life really that boring you need to respond to this nonsense? If your really bored here you go - I hear Josh Allen's arm has been transplanted on Tom Brady's body to extend his career. Any takers?
  21. I used to think that having Beasley made Josh look better then he was. It turned out being it was the other way around. Good luck Beas catching passes from Daniel Jones. Look for his production to drop 50%. Not sure why there not much McK love here. I think he'd be a huge upgrade at this point, plus he has many more additional skills. Sign him. The grass is seldom always greener.
  22. Fingers are crossed. You can't rule out state politics from mucking this up. The sooner the better. Looking forward to having a stadium that has extra wide concourses, lavatories that don't include 50 foot cow trough urinals that led to 300' lines at halftime, decent high tech scoreboards that are visible from more than 200', party decks in the end zones, decent restaurant options, and an overhang that protects 75% of the fans. Outdoor football baby. the way God meant it to be!!
  23. Excellent ST and backfield depth player signed at a very reasonable rate which likely includes incentives. Not sure the signing warrant 8 pages of commentary. Not much going on I guess.. I'll trust Beane over the punters here ridiculing the contract and the player. Ask the one and done Packers about the importance of solid special teams.
