  1. Mahomes is 10-2 lifetime in these such games including the SB win a few years ago against the 49ers. He also was trailing by 10+ in the other two playoff games that year against the Titans and Texans (including 28-0 in that one). Not sure about Brady's lifetime record but going to go on a limb and say it's ridiculously good. But in regards to Allen, if you pay a guy $250M he needs to be much better than 2-11 in those circumstances and anybody that believes otherwise is kidding themselves. Allen has prove he's truly a special player and elite franchise QB especially at home.
  2. Pretty much, I predicted 12-5 and another division championship and not going to waver on that after one game. But if we lose to the Dolphins and go to 0-2 with the same issues from the Steelers rearing their ugly head again not only is it time to consider this isn't probably a playoff team but attention immediately needs to shift to Brandon Beane and the decisions he made in the offseason.
  3. On the road against Brees and the Saints......Tom Brady's first start with the Bucs. I really wish people stop making this type of comparison when WE LOST AT HOME, gave up 23 unanswered points and didn't have a chance to win late because we were down 2 scores. Yes Pittsburgh might still be a good to great team but you have to win this game at home if you also fancy yourself the same type of team. Meanwhile the Chiefs and Bucs showed why they were in the SB last year and came back to win big games at home after trailing at one point in the 2nd half. Sure this team might rebound in a big way this week and play great the next few weeks given the upcoming schedule but until we play a real team with a real QB again (i.e. KC) it's hard to know who the 2021 Bills really are at this point.
  4. I'm puzzled by this move as well but I would disagree about Moss in pass protection, Singletary is much better in that area and probably why he's still the primary back for now.
  5. This is also a valid point, even if we were to finish with the #1 overall seed in the AFC and get the Chiefs at home there's no evidence yet to suggest that we will beat them or even hang with them even at home. This is why this team really needs to use the next three weeks as 'get right' type of games and presumably beat up on lessor teams to set up the right level of confidence heading into KC for a primetime game because anybody that says it's just another game is kidding themselves. This whole team, coaching staff, etc know they have to go in there and have a good showing and you really wonder if they are already looking ahead in some ways thinking that these first four games were all going to be a cakewalk.
  6. Again, this was a home game for Allen and the Bills which I feel is not getting enough attention. Had this game been in Pitt I would have walked away feeling much better knowing that road clunkers happen especially against a team that appears to still be playoff caliber. But it was on our field and elite SB teams and QB's find a way to win even when the opposing team throws their best haymakers at you (i.e. Browns/Chiefs). Sure the final margin was 7 points, but the Steelers came into the Bills house and destroyed the oline (without blitzing) and made Allen look terrible in the process. Against a team like the Chiefs that doesn't have a work in progress offense and QB past his prime we lose by 14-17+ points easy.
  7. You might be on to something....going back to the playoffs last year in the last 3 games the Bills offense have scored 4 total TD's (Ravens x1, Chiefs x2 and Steelers x1). Also worth noting against the Chiefs 1 TD was scored after the muffed punt in the 1st quarter when we were set up with 1st and goal, the other in the 4th quarter garbage time. The more you dig, the picture is not pretty and all the criticism being piled on Allen/Daboll/McD/etc appears to be justified at the moment. This team needs to turn it on in a big way these next 3 games before they head to KC again.
  8. Part of this is Dabol's insistence on calling the same stupid QB draw plays over and over. And at this point I'm more worried about Allen getting hurt than the fumbles. But I do agree the bigger picture is Allen's alleged status ans a premier NFL QB and the turnovers have to stop in that regard.
  9. This is why some fans are truly underestimating the impact of yesterday's loss......not only did they lose at home to a team that I really don't believe is going to be an upper echelon contender this year, but they are already behind the eight ball for landing the only 1st round playoff bye and home field throughout the playoffs. Sure the Bills may win their next 10 in a row including the game in KC and seize control of the #1 seed but it's highly unlikely given this teams flaws that were exposed yesterday and the Chiefs are probably not losing more than 3 total games this year even if they drop one to the Bills. Bottom line, yesterday's game was one that fans and pundits alike had penciled in for a win because they did in fact assume the Bills are a SB contender. And SB contenders find a way to win this type of game in their home field no matter how hard the opponent hits you (see Chiefs/Browns yesterday).
  10. Have any of you guys ever read miami 'finheaven' forums? There's some great stuff here especially all the overreaction and confidence that they are going to smash the Bills with us only scoring in garbage time: https://finheaven.com/threads/final-score-buffalo-bills-v-miami-dolphins.368105/
  11. You might be right and I guess there's a reason why the Chargers and other teams passed on Daboll. But at the end of the day it still comes down to QB and yesterday was one of Allens worse games in his career even when guys were wide open.
  12. They will probably still get him especially if they lose against the Bills and Tua doesn't look like more than a game manager type in the coming weeks.
  13. Unless you are the Tom Brady era Pats, you win in this league with balance. And this is the problem, since Daboll was around for a large chunk of those Brady SB era teams in New England, he's trying to run the same type of offense in Buffalo not understanding that Allen is not Brady and this defense isn't Belichik's. So yes we really need to trying running the ball a little more especially against Miami since they have the ability to what the Steelers did on defense in some matchups/cases.
  14. I've noticed this as well, especially from some of the homer bloggers/local media who are all blaming Daboll, McD, oline, etc but no mention of Allen. The bottom line is that one game doesn't make a season, but in this one game Allen looked like pre 2020 Allen which is not a good thing. And if he doesn't come out have a great statistical game against the Dolphins (win or lose) you better believe it will be time to start questioning the big contract extension which personally I felt was premature if anything because I wanted to see Allen repeat 2020 especially in full NFL stadiums with fans again. Allen was flat out horrible yesterday and you don't get a pass when your worth a quarter of a billion dollars especially with wildly overthrown passes to wide open players.
  15. If Allen plays like his usual self against Miami I have a hard time seeing this team lose, but what the Dolphins did yesterday matters because they won and it doesn't matter what the margin of victory was.
  16. I still think the whole the 'run it back' idea is what will ultimately lead to this teams downfall and why they may flounder this year and be nothing more than a WC or one and done playoff team even if they win the division. Obviously TB did it because they won a SB and have the GOAT on their roster. The Chiefs who made the SB and throttled the Bills decided it wasn't enough to 'run in back' as did many other playoff teams from last year. With all that said, I think what we saw yesterday and in the AFCCG is this teams floor which isn't good enough to win against other good teams 9 out of 10 times. I feel we'll see their ceiling soon but don't be surprised if this team as a whole does regress because they simply aren't as good as most fans think and when you have multlple glaring holes like we do you aren't a legit SB contender.
  17. Nearly 24 hours later I'm really not sure how I feel about next week but make no mistake this is pretty much a must win for the Bills because a loss not only puts them at 0-2 but essentially 3 games behind the Dolphins. I was flipping back and forth between the Dolphins/Pats and Browns/Chiefs yesterday but from what I saw the Dolphins defense still looks very good but obviously not quite like the Steelers in terms of the front seven. Tua was solid other than the INT but it still says something to go into Foxboro and win especially on opening day. If the Bills do bounce back and throttle the Dolphins by 2+ scores this week I'll be impressed but something tells me that even if we win it might be another ugly afternoon.
  18. And just like that the chiefs get the ball back so they can go take the lead.....sigh.
  19. He wasn't good just like the entire oline. Feliciano is complete trash as well but I guess it don't matter because he's a 'fan favorite'.
  20. I hope so too but despite being behind right now their QB still looks like he's worth every penny compared to Allen.
  21. Pretty much agree, would also add to the don't like: 1) Coaching, not McDermott or Dabolls best day 2) ST - when you invest so much in 'ST only players' you can't let a blocked punt happen in a crucial moment like it did. Thats would essentially ended the game IMO. Regarding Wallace - I just don't see what this front office and coaching staff sees compared to us 'armchair GMs' who know this guy is trash and nothing more than a depth type of guy. Teams are going to continue to go at him all year and not much will change but it's probably too late to address unless we make an in season trade. Regarding oline - I'm assuming this is the worst they'll look all year given the defense we played today. But it's crystal clear that both guard spots are an issue and I'll say Feliciano is still one of the most overrated Bills players of all time. He was probably the worst guy out there today hands down and I'm still trying to understand why an undersized guy thought losing 30 pounds was somehow going to make him better??
  22. I hope the Dolphins win and come out overconfident against the Bills next week. Either way they look very solid thus far.
  23. I'm still not sure how good the Steelers might be yet, but I've thought all along today's game was dangerous for pretty much every reason which contributed to todays embarrassment at home.
  24. Yah it really is, Miami and Tua are playing pretty good so far in NE too. I know it's cliche but next week is a true must win for the Bills or this season could spiral out of control quickly.
  25. It's why they are a sexy SB pick not many are talking about. They are built the right way on both sides of the ball. The only great teams in NFL history that got by without having to run the ball much are the Patriots because they had Tom Brady and top 10 defenses consistently. This is why I've never been a fan of Daboll , because at least as of now Allen is no Brady and McDermott is Belichik. Not too mention this defense just isn't very good when it matters.
