Somethings GOT to be done a the interior o line
BigAl2526 replied to TheBeaneBandit's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's a little better when Spencer is healthy and Daryl Williams can move inside. I wonder if McDermott could be tempted to sit Feliciano for Boettger so the line would be Dawkins, Boettger, Morris, Williams and Spencer. Otherwise, I don't expect any other changes until the off season. It's time for an infusion of some real talent though. -
Bills Classless Again [Edit: FinHeaven message board]

I think Flacco is going to back up White. So, how much is Flacco being paid?

If we get to the SB...any fear of Tampa Bay?
BigAl2526 replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Buffalo has the talent to play with anybody. If they play to their potential, I'm not afraid of anybody. If they play like the offense played in the first half versus Miami today, I'm afraid of Jacksonville, Detroit and Houston. It's essentially up to the Bills themselves. -
I forgot all about Warring. Don't know about your predictions, but if he's healthy, he becomes more and more a viable option as he gets more familiar with the Bills' offense.

Panthers willing to trade McCaffrey, should Bills go all in?
BigAl2526 replied to Sherlock Holmes's topic in The Stadium Wall
A Houston - Carolina trade makes more sense than anything I can imagine between Buffalo and Carolina. -
Spencer Brown likely out vs Phins, back injury
BigAl2526 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Very possible. The alternative might be to go with Boettger instead of Ford. Depends on what McDermott thinks about Ford and Boettger -
When Rex Ryan feels qualified to rip you a new one, it's a sign you have fallen a loooooong way.

Boomers: Does Derrick Henry remind you of Cookie Gilchrist?
BigAl2526 replied to John Gianelli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jim Brown seems like an apt comparison. Players like Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson don't really set trends because they're unicorns. It might be decades before another running back emerges who has both Derrick Henry size and athleticism. Pittsburgh tried with Najee Harris, but while Harris is good, he neither has Derrick Henry size or speed. -
Zach Wilson knee injury [sprained PCL, miss 2-4 weeks]

He's probably hoping the Jets give him the Sam Darnold treatment sooner rather than later. -
Bills sign UB product OL Evin ksiezarcyk to PS
BigAl2526 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Played left tackle for the UB Bulls, but his athletic profile says he's a right tackle or guard in a power blocking scheme. -
Had a friend in high school. His first name was Art. His last name was unpronounceable. In jest we called him "Art Alphabet"

Is Baker dropping to #4 of the Class of '18?
BigAl2526 replied to Huh? What?'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Darnold still has some growing to do. I think Allen is #1, of course, but Jackson is making a strong case this year. Baltimore and Greg Roman in particular are being very smart in the way they use him. I think Baker is still #3 -
About the coarsest word I'm likely to use is "crap." I'm a retired pastor after all.

They have lots of players on IR, but only players who went on IR after the team made their final cuts to reach a roster of 53 are eligible to be reactivated after 3 weeks. I don't know when all these players went on IR, but it would be extremely difficult for a team to put more than a handful on IR right after they made final cuts. Other teams would recognize the talent of those players, and would start asking the league office to investigate. Players placed on IR before final cut down either have to stay on IR all season or reach an injury settlement with the team and are then released.

The Cardinals are not a bad bet for the NFC Super Bowl representative.

Are we going to be like the obnoxious and unbearable Patriot fans?
BigAl2526 replied to Leonitas's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've already seen signs of Bills fan entitlement/arrogance. When the team you root for is good, it's a fine line between confidence/optimism and snobbishness. I will attempt not to cross the line. -
The Bills have a date with destiny on Dec 12. It’s a reckoning.
BigAl2526 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Buccaneers dominated Miami and Atlanta, teams that aren't very good. Otherwise, their margin of victory has been unimpressive. They beat Dallas and New England by 2 points each, and Philadelphia by 6. Only Dallas is a top 10 opponent inn the league. By comparison, Buffalo has the largest average margin of victory in the league. You always have to respect what Brady can do, but Buffalo doesn't have to be afraid of anybody. -
Scouting The Tennessee Titans (Week 6 2021)
BigAl2526 replied to Dont Stop Billeiving's topic in The Stadium Wall
Me too. McDermott probably included a film review of last year's game in team prep for the game next Monday's tilt. In any case, he'll make sure there's no letdown. The Titans are a very different team from the Chiefs. That may be a bigger factor than any let down. Derrick Henry is a load and the Titans offensive line tends to wear down their opponents. The good news is Buffalo is about as deep as any team in the league on the defensive line, and the heavy rotation McDermott uses on the D-line will counter that, and tend to keep the Bills fresh. -
The Bills have the horses to do all kinds of different things, and Daboll has the mind to be able to scheme it.

Penalty Analysis: Bills vs Chiefs
BigAl2526 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
In real time I had a tough time seeing the Tre White PI call with a very critical eye. I think it was pretty likely Kelce was to perpetrator. I thought the Mitch Morse holding call was pretty disgusting too. -
Also, some of the greatest regular season teams in NFL history have gone on to win the Super Bowl. Regular season success is not a predictor of postseason failure. Only one team gets to win the Super Bowl each year, so it's a given that a few very good regular season teams are going to fail in the quest to win the Super Bowl, but you're still better off heading into the playoffs with a record of dominance than having just squeezed in as a bottom end wild card team.

I don't think Beane is in a hurry to make a trade. I don't think he minds havinig an abundance of defensive ends one bit.
