that was a hilarious pancake his guard received on the bullrush though. i agree there were a couple of sacks earlier he shouldn't have taken but not sure about that one -

if Burrow is on the Mahomes / Allen level, he will take advantage of this double possession. FG here, and TD first possession of the second half to go up 20-6 (2-pt conversion). -

going for 2 was classic "a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing" don't teach meatheads analytics. -

that was a cowardly punt by the Titans beginning to think Cincy could win -

guessing 27 to 3 Titans by the end. Bengals coach won't be able to recognize that this is going to be a low-scoring game, will take too many chances (not keep enough blockers in ), and the turnovers will flow. -

yeah, but that's line play in general. unless this was his first snap playing football, no excuse there. -

freudian slip. bills won't lose to them until next week. -

just going off line movement - the point spread went from 3 to 4 - the Titans will probably roll. it's hard to move off the 3 and off the hook all the way to 4. -
Bills’ Analytics Department Highly-Ranked
harryS replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kinda underwhelming. There were 3 questions asked about ranking teams' analytics, and the Bills didn't get mentioned for 2 of the 3 questions, and on the third question, the Bills got 2 votes which gave them third place. Most of it is just praising the Browns for their analytics. And if they keep Baker Mayfield this offseason, then screw their analytics. They suck. -
Divisional Round: Buffalo at KC Sunday at 6:30

it doesn't matter with a clean pocket but matters when you're getting pressured. if you have a rubber arm that can get the pass off at different angles to avoid defenders and find new passing lanes, it helps. -
Giants/Schoen interview Daboll for HC
harryS replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
on Monday, they should be preparing for the Titans. what then? unless there is a league wide rule that bans these interviews until a team is knocked out of the playoffs, i get why they have to do it now. -
Wolf is famous for his appearance on Jeopardy. Let's hope McD talks really slowly to him.

then the bills would win by 3, because you don't kick extra points in OT

Are we/media setting ourselves up for a defensive battle?
harryS replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
with low projected winds of only 6mph, over 54 is one of the better bets of the season. yes, it'll be a shootout. -

i'm guessing KC has TB pretty high up there -
Is Super Bowl victory or bust realistic?
harryS replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, it would be an epic failure. (Also, if we had just taken care of business in the regular season, the Chiefs would've had to play at Buffalo). The good news is even if it turns out to be an epic failure, we should have plenty of chances in future seasons to make up for the failure. -
Nice picks. I think I'd take the Rams even if Jensen and Wirfs play, certainly with the 3-pt spread. I'll be rooting for Brady to pull one out though since the Rams are more loaded.

maybe a point of clarification. Super Bowl is the goal, but nobody is jumping off a bridge if they fail to win it. We have a young QB/HC tandem that should compete for many more years. -

harryS replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall
i don't get the sense most Bills fans are "SB or bust". there's all that window talk for example. it sure would be nice to win it this year, though, since a lot of changes might be coming. -

have they ever hosted an AFCCG? i agree that we're underestimating a Titans team that's getting healthy at the right time much prefer the bengals win that game -
no one thought that, lol

Good post. The only examples that we have to think about are Wilson and Marino, as all the other guys were old when their windows closed and had great success. With Wilson and Marino, I would say the lesson is the same. This is really the Allen/McDermott era, not the Allen era, as Josh still needs McD to maintain being a very good coach who can adapt to changes in the league in order for the Bills to realize the 15 years or so of contention that we want to see. You can easily argue that Carroll and Shula couldn't maintain current with the times or otherwise support their superstar QBs in the way needed to consistently contend. Carroll runs the ball too much and probably has a defensive system that's been figured out that he stubbornly sticks to. With Shula, my memory is hazier, but I believe he couldn't hire a defensive coordinator worth a damn and couldn't adapt/adjust to the division rival running a newfangled no-huddle offense.
