  1. I never expect anything more than the typical "woe is us" BS you express here after any loss, but one thing to keep in mind is that it is really boring. It would be nice to just once come to this site, whether win or loss, and be able to engage in a rational discussion but I no longer expect it. Instead it is constant whining, no analysis or discussion (with a very few notable exceptions - you know who you are), and people feeling sorry for themselves. Reasons not withstanding, this is really boring. If you are that miserable, take the OP's suggestion and go elsewhere, or have something meangful to say about the game or the team. Lest you think this is personal, just lumping you in with the rest.
  2. I guess the NFL should cancel the last 3/4 of the schedule if the season is over. Two bad halfs of football do not constitute a season, no matter how bad they were.
  3. If you have actually seen the Ravens play this year, there is a noticeable slide in heir defense. They are just not as good as their reputation right now. Suggs makes a huge difference, but also consider that Lewis and Reed are at the end of their careers and not the same players. Besides Ngata, they are nothing special on the D line. I think the Bills D has the potential to be much better than the Ravens this year. Still have to prove it by being consistent.
  4. The big deal is that players and coaches are very specifically barred from ever touching an official, for any reason. It is the same in every sport. His reason does not matter. If it was a player, or probably if it was another coach, he would be sitting for at least 1 week and maybe more.
  5. If Fred is back, I would be shocked if Chan risked any further injury to Spiller by rushing him back. At best, he is on the game day roster for emergency and/or misdirection purposes, but I even doubt that.
  6. I heard on NFL Network earlier that they were close to a deal. I would not jump to the conclusion they will work this week's game. That would seem to be unreasonable given the timing.
  7. Agree it was the right move and many if not most coaches would have done the same thing, but I can think of at least two coaches who would have run a play there - Belichick and Ryan.
  8. The market value is very different if there is an option to move the team.
  9. You should know better than to try and be positive in the week after a Bills loss. Have you not heard - the sky is not falling, it has already fallen, and based on the evidence of one game we all know that perpetual doom has decended on Bills Nation. They will be lucky to win a game, the whole team sucks, Nix/Gailey/the entire coaching staff and front office sucks, Mario will never make a sack and is a total bust, Fitz is the worst QB ever, etc. Do not enjoy the season one game at a time as they are played whatever you do. Come on OP, get with the program.
  10. Yes, based on the evidence of a single game, the Bills Defence appears to be awfull. Let's order the bullets for the mass suicide right away. It is hopeless.
  11. I have been reading TSW all week so I forecast grey skies, torrential downpours, tornados, and locusts this Sunday.
  12. If he was he would not be on the practice squad seems to me.
  13. You could be right about your last statement but that's not saying much. Tebow will, based on last years stats, probably complete less than 50% of those passes, even if they are simple. Stopping the run is the key. If they are doing that those quick short passes will be easily defended, and he is a very iffy downfield threat. If he thinks the Bills will not be prepared for this he should be sadly mistaken. They still have to make plays, but I like Buffalo's chances. More bluster from sexy Rexy.
  14. My thoughts exactly. Fortunately for Sabchez, he at least does not have to compete for the hot woman with Tebow.
  15. Exactly right. The point I was making in my previous post. If it were the Bills claiming Mark Asper, a 6th round pick, off waiver a week before the season, we would have reason to be concerned. This has been the case far too long, but no longer is. Progress.
  16. Time will obviously tell, but it was not my expectation this year that all the Bills draft picks would make the team. What you should expect after 3 years is that enough quality depth is being built that it is difficult for low round draft picks and undrafted free agents to make this team. This was not the case 3 years ago - they all made it- whether they were ultimately NFL quality players or not. Some people on this board seem to believe that each and every draft pick should be a sure fired winner. The fact is it is always a crap shoot and any team that finds more than two or three quality long term contributors in any given draft is indeed very lucky.
  17. I did watch the games and watched Carder closely in the Detroit game. I was unimpressed and not at all surprised he was cut. Every year the fans here pick out a favorite long shot and this year it was Carder. I do not profess to be an expert at evaluating NFL players, but I saw nothing in his play during the preseason to indicate he was worth keeping. Just did not see it.
  18. So I guess your point is you would rather have Lynch than Fred Jackson, right? Otherwise, not really sure what your point is. Lynch was not a good performer for the Bills when he was here. The bills also got a 4th which turned out to be Hairston I believe. 6th round picks do not always work out. Sometimes, players who you might like to bring back on the PS get claimed.
  19. Cutting Heard has nothing to do with that.
  20. Really just going by the fact that Moats seems to have landed ahead of Morrison on the depth chart. You may be right about their relative play - I cannot say I have paid that close attention to it. I do think this is more about Morrsion than Shepperd. They have a surplus of LBs and they need to figure out who can play where. They are going to end up cutting someone they would like to keep at this position. Fans seem to be very down on Shep, but I do not think the coaches are.
  21. This has nothing to do with Shepherd. Moats has outplayed Morrsion for the outside spot and they are trying to see what Morrison's value is. Can he back up both spots? If not, perhaps they keep McKillup.
