According the Chris Brown........

The Revis deal has pretty much eliminated the trade down strategy to pick a QB later, unless either the Jets use the 13th pick to jump higher than 9 in the first round, or the Bills can move down to no later than 12. The jets will pick a QB with 13 if they keep it. -
Tweets from Bills practice = AWESOME!

Lighten up already. It is only April. People are excited to something happening on the field. Nobody is predicting Superbowl or anything. -
That is his reputation among Bills fans, and it all may be true to some extent, but it would never make him more than a 4th WR at best. Nelson was most effective in the 2011 season playing from the hybrid role, usually with three true WRs on the field. In this Gailey formation, Nelson was difficult to cover, often got mismatches due to his size and the need for the primnary DBs to cover other receivers. He was basically an undersized TE. Once Nelson was forced into the slot due to injuries, his production went way down. He started 2012 as the designated slot guy, but was hurt so early we will never know if he would have been effective. I suspect not. Maybe he will prove me wrong in Cleveland but I would not bet on it, despite his good hands and route running. The Bills needed an upgrade. I am not sure if Dickerson is it, but I do see potential because of his superior speed and bulk.

I think it is highly unlikely any of the top 4 or 5 QBs are on the board at 41. Waiting for a player to drop into the right slot is why the Bills have failed at getting a young QB for the past 3 years. They either need to pick who they want at 8, or trade back into the first, or trade down in the first and pick there. I would prefer they not screw around and just go ahead and take who they want at 8. If Buddy tries to get cute, they will likely lose out again. Trading back into the first would be costly and they need the picks, so I do not see that.

I wonder what Jason Peters' teammates think of him.

What do his teammates think of him? They think he is a selfish, arrogant POS - because he is. -

If you have not noticed, every post by this person is equally random and meaningless. Troll with a capital T. -
Fred Davis FA TE has dinner with Bills brass

The guy has been accused of rape on more than one occasion. I did not nor do I wish I had raped a woman in college. How about you? Spare me the excuses, and the "he is just a target" BS. He is a scumbag, pure and simple. -
I don't think so. There is no more evidence that Matt Flynn can be a quality starter than for any of the rookies. In fact, it could be argued that after 5 years in the NFL, there is adequate evidence to suggest he is a career back up. If you are looking for a veteran to compete with Jackson and a rookie to buy time for a rookie to learn, why give up a draft pick of any kind for this guy when Kolb is available as a free agent and has much more of a track record.
-
I don't see any sense is trading draft choices for an unproven QB like Flynn. Bad move. Kolb could be worth signing if the deal was right.
-
I would hate this. Flynn has done nothing to indicate he can be a reliable starter and no reason to believe he would be an upgrade over Fitz.. If he were a free agent he would be worth a look, but no way the Bills should trade draft choices for him. It would be nice to see one of the teams ahead of the Bills in draft order pick him up, taking out one more competitor for the QBs in the draft.

The Skins have close to zero cap room at this point. Unlikley to sign there unless no one else is interested. -

Eugene Cyril "Geno" Smith III - QB - West Virginia
FLFan replied to The Voice of Truth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Jets are looking for a QB, and they very well might be, they will not allow the guy they want fall to Buffalo. This could very well be Smith, or not. The fact is no one knows how the Bills or any other team have these guys ranked. -
Chiefs want picks for Brandon Albert

Bad idea. The Bills drafted their left tackle last year and have several right tackle candidates on the team. Among the lowest need areas. -
Some Nice Words From Coach Marrone

I lost all respect for him then. I do not read anything he writes. -
I suspect my tongue in cheek approach would have yielded more than 4 QB's drafted in that time. I also suspect it would have yielded similar success. By the way, do not forget the trade of #1 picks for Rob Johnson and Drew Bledsoe.

OBD should publish their plan on TSW for fan feedback and comment. Once we have consensus approval, they can then execute the plan according to the collectve wisdom being offered on a fan message board. This will no doubt keep everyone happy and lead to a championship.
-
Yes it is encouraging and he has said this before. I am not concerned about the relative level of inactivty thus far. Nor am I concerned that the Bills are letting the bulk of their free agents walk. With the exception of Levitre, these are players who are past their prime like McGee, Wilson and Barnett, mediocre to begin with such as Nelson, Jones, and Kyle Moore, too expensive for their production like Fitz, or do not fit the new system presumably such as MacIntyre. I see no problem with cutting ties to a bunch of players who clearly were not helping you win. I am sure the Bills will have a full roster by training camp and I expect some of the players brought in before then will surpirse Bills fans. Just because the team is not sharing their plan with the fans does not mean they do not have one.

I cannnot begin to understand how someone could actually put Fitz and Brees in the same conversation, or think there is any comparison between the two. Astounding really. -
It would seem we would have to. What viable free agent WR would want to come to Buffalo right now given the current QB situation? Not a knock really, just a fact. Things will change after the draft.

What to do with the orchard Park facility should be the least of the concerns. This could be an opportunity to right the collosal mistake made in not building the stadium in downtown Buffalo to begin with. This, along with the decision to build the new SUNY Campus is Amherst set the city back 30 years or more. There can be no renewal of the WNY Region without a renewal of the relevance of the City of Buffalo. A downtown stadium would provide a lynchpin to redevelopment and a draw for business, and provide a public perception bonanza. This should be the course IMO. Lets hope the local politicians for once can get it together enough to work toward the right long term solution for the region rather than an expedient short term one for their own purposes. Absolutely. Valuable land.
