  1. Love XTC, sucks that Andy Partridge has/had such a bad case of stagefright, they are probably a bucket list band for me
  2. I remember once we did a community volunteer day at the Richmond SPCA, part of the 'job' was to play with the dogs. There was a pit bull in one of the enclosures and she was just screaming for attention. I went in and spent probably an hour just playing and hanging out with her, she was the sweetest, most docile dog i've ever enountered, but I'd be lying if i said i didn't have an uneasy feeling in the back of my brain. I am glad i ignored that feeling that day
  3. Wow, no Veil???? I don't normally go into the pet peeve thread, but i will have to keep my eyes open.
  4. been following this story as it is a richmond suburb. very scary
  5. Good win against a scrappy team. Moyer must be hurt pretty good. Nice to see Chukwu play as much as he did and not get into foul trouble.....what is with all the falling from our team.....
  6. We get to see the Lou Reed commercial every break. Great song but damn it gets overplayed on espn3 or watchespn
  7. Please share your travails this evening in 'real time' so i can live vicariously through y'all
  8. outside of the scott's addition trio(Veil, Ardent and Isley, Triple Crossing(not the downtown location) is a must hit place, Strangeways has some very interesting beers and of course the Answer is also pumping out some amazing stuff(Cletus, they don't have beers like this at The Shaw House, Lee House maybe :-) ). I am going to be passing through richmond next week on my way to savannah, I am trying to figure out when and I will let you know.
  9. Cadet played a great game as is did capi capi or whatever his name is
  10. Seriously, Gronkowski is unbelievable.....that big, hands like that??? dammit i can't stand that S.O.B.
  11. is it really any sadder than me asking for hot redhead? basic necessities change as we grow older.....
  12. and he's only gonna get better than what he is now.....wow!!!!!
  13. what a gritty game...did not think they were going to pull that off. Brissette, Howard and Doleczay(sp) really put the team on their backs. Battle sucked for most of the second half but made some really clutch plays late. Moyer also looked very good. Georgetown played a very tough defensive game, all the criticism about their SOS is unwarranted.
  14. that was a fun game to watch, Embid was completely gassed by the end. Unfortunately Saric and Reddick didn't play their best during the overtimes. The Sixers are headed in the right direction. Too bad they don't have Fultz in the mix yet
  15. Scored a second bottle from Wegmans. They were only giving one per person apparently
  16. Just picked up a bottle of Hardywood Kentucky Christmas Morning Stout. Excited for this one. Was hoping to find 2, one for now, one to age. But it seems i got the last one in the Philly main line area.
  17. mmmmm....thai dog.....
  18. i'd be surprised to see njsue show up here under the same name...
  19. Not what you are asking, but WXPN from University of Pennsylvania is a listener supported station that focuses on Singer/Songwriter....anywho...they are about 45 minutes from finishing up their 70's A to Z which has been running for a little over 2 weeks. At first I thought it was going to be crappy classic rock, but it has been so much fun to listen to these past 2 weeks. All that being said, if you are into music, new and old, you should check out 88.5 WXPN, xpn.org. You aren't going to get your typical WNY/CNY classic rock, you are gonna get an incredible mix of everything.
  20. poor Headley, won't be around to enjoy it....i liked him but he was pretty useless at the plate
  21. You are probably right. a problem i had is, as soon as the story started coming out that there might be some shenanigans going on, this kid was made fun of for his looks on social media. He certainly is not the one driving this thing, but this family(ie Mo and Daughter) seem to be cut of the same cloth.
  22. I don't know about that. I am also all about IPA's, but sometimes you just can't beat a good pilsner, done right, they can be incredibly crisp and refreshing. As far as sours, i am always too scared to commit to a full pour, so i normally go with tasters whenever i see one that catches my eye. I did have a really good wit the other day at Tired Hands, it was damn good
  23. I saw the Talking Heads and The Dazz Band at UB once
  24. and there is the sister taking to social media claiming that the family did not in fact set up a gofundme account after earlier confirming that it was legit, and people finding the same sister's social media account making racist statements. this is just a mess from the start and some of the athletes that jerked their knees are now speaking out about feeling as they were duped(in one instance because the mother claims she needs money for christmas)
  25. This is going to be messy.
