I loved these Olympic games, they were fun to watch and it looked like an absolutely beautiful area. I know there was a lot of criticism over such announcers as Bode Miller and Johnny Weir, but I enjoyed both of them and their insights into the events they covered.

Drove up to Other Half in Brooklyn on Friday as they had Monkish from Torrence CA. Come in for a tap takeover and collab release. Monkish was on my list of must try beers and it’s only released at their brew house. So glad I took the couple hour venture

Oh man, that really sucks on several levels, least important is missing the shows......that said.....when i saw Jen Cloher, Kurt and Courtney(the good namesakes) were playing that night just down the road in Philly.....we were all hoping we'd get a surprise appearance on stage. Didn't happen. Jen just played a full headlining show at a club in philly, Johnny Brenda's, Courtney is her guitarist on the tour, needless to say, that 500 capacity venue sold out quickly. Courtney just sold out a May show at a 2000 seat venue in about 30 minutes. I saw her a couple years ago at a festival hosted by the station that pretty much introduced her, WXPN, her live show was so loud, raucous and chaotic, it was nothing that i expected but holy crap was it good. She is one of the best artists to come out in the past couple of years.

Debating on Weezer & Pixies. Might try for Radiohead just out of curiosity.

Should have shut it down a few weeks ago, but with 3 weeks left in the season, it would make zero sense to shut it down at this point. gotta push through and help this team reach post season

the most frustrating thing is that i expected us to get completely blown off the court, and that was supported by the first half result. Then they somehow stepped it up. That kind of frantic pressure is simply not sustainable with 6.5 players.

I really like Jen Clohers new album. Saw her play a couple months ago. She is very talented, great songwriter. I've been a fan of Courtney's since I heard her 3 or so years ago, she reminded me of Lou Reed or Patti Smith. Jen C is more of a Springsteen like singer/songwriter.

Big fan of this guys music, have seen him a couple of times, the second time unfortunately left a really bad taste in my mouth, but my appreciation for his music allowed me to overcome the sour taste this event left in me. I was in about the second or third row and we were all getting very restless with his rambling crap.

Slightly off topic but...the other day my 26 year old son who is not 'drinking savvy'(I know, I know, we tested his DNA, he's definitely mine despite this short coming) was asking about picking up some liquor at the state store. he was giving me the list of what he wanted to make his desired concoction, rum, gin, etc, then he added in that he needed some jigger liquor....I felt so bad that I was laughing AT him so hard, but i just couldn't help myself.

I'm more interested in whether they will now announce Syracuse as Runner-Up for the year....it's only fair
