  1. But, did you pick Taiwan Jones?
  2. I think we carry 7. Factor in that we now know at least 3 WRs are unvaccinated, 7 helps mitigate a risk.
  3. If a cut is based on vaccination (or “planning”), then McKenzie is at risk too. McKenzie is the guy with the violation letter from the league? He is the one who broadcasted the letter, uncensored with email address, on Twitter. That showed bad form. While Beasley has been a Covid lightning rod no doubt, in this case he was wearing a mask and following protocol, he tested negative, and siimply complained (on Twitter) about the logic.
  4. One half of one preseason game against a below average team.
  5. Last season Robert’s fumbled 3 times - 1 kickoff and 2 punts, losing the ball twice. He fumbled only 1 punt the season prior. Robert’s has 415 career returns, with 21 fumbles, losing 8 of them. He fumbles about 5 times out of 100 attempts, which is probably good percentage wise but not infallible. Data I have seen shows this is close to the NFL average off 3% for kickoffs and 1% for punts.
  6. Rosen is not a Buffalo Bill. Not a McDermott guy.
  7. That is a sign of the times. People today record everything for social media attention.
  8. Looks like they defunded security.
  9. Normally I don’t care too much about winning in preseason. You look at your new players and hope to find a few to add that will make you better. You play your backups to make them better. You play the starters just enough to get their timing and to knock off the rust. There was value in winning tonight. The fact that the 4Q drive adds to Bass’s development is important.
  10. Look up the word lament. It is not what I’m doing.
  11. You guys are hilarious. It only pre-season game#1. Who cares? All this lamenting about 3rd and 4th string players. News flash: - Wlidgoose is a PS player at best. - Duke Williams sucks - Rookies look like rookies Fromm plays his first game in two years, surrounded by scrubs, and everyone expects more than that?
  12. Probably because no real NFL players were playing ?
  13. Stan Kronke coming in at #11 kills the whole thing.
  14. Great news. Beane and Josh appear to have struck a win-win.
  15. Beasley asking Pfizer to compensate his wife if he gets vaccinated. Beasley is now a distraction.
  16. The kids in my neighborhood used to play “NFL Highlights” on the front lawns or in our back yards. It was a slowed down tackle game with several of us taking turns at QB and announcing the plays in a Facenda voice. It was a tribute to the best players of the late 60’s and early 70’s. Gale Sayers and OJ Simpson running sweeps, Larry Csonka blasting straight ahead for yardage, Fred Bilitnikof on the sideline, Lance Allworth with a one handed grab, Roger Staubach throwing deep to Bob “The Bullet” Hayes. Facenda helped us to learn and love the game.
  17. Awesome trip down memory lane. Cookie was a great football player. Always concerned about money and getting his share. What a handful on and off the field. Paul McGuire had a great story of how Cookie once got permission from Ralph Wilson to sell Christmas trees in front of the Rockpile before games.
  18. Great points. I respect his courage.
  19. Why should they be “celebrated”? They say this on TV news and talk shows all the time. The word celebrate is used much too often in these circumstances. I will respect Nassib for his courage, and I think we as a society need to someday get past this, but I hardly think this is cause to celebrate.
  20. Jim Kelly had been lobbying for Tasker to play WR more for a long time. He ran great routes and had sure hands. Kelly said, numerous times, no one in practice could cover him. I think back to SB XXV, Don Beebe was out and Al Edwards played in his place. Edwards was mediocre and was a huge drop off. I wish Tasker would have got more reps even back then, but it took several years for that to happen.
  21. Not sure there is a correct direction for every game. ?? Part of the charm of “Rich Stadium” was the wind and it is a real advantage if the home team gets the right kickers and learns how to play there.
  22. I don’t like any possibility of playing in Toronto or at Penn State. Seems very Pegulish, even ridiculous, to mention Penn State, when all they have to do extend the lease until the new facility is built.
