True, he still gets rid of the ball quickly. Always has. -

Dallas better get some heat on Brady or they will be done by halftime. Thank you Beane for bringing in Epenasa, Efe, Groot , and Boogie. Now they need to come of age fast. This league has become throw, throw, and throw. Need a pass rush more than ever. -

Tampa defense had a lot of big name players. They seemed to get better and rally around Brady late last season. -

CeeDee with 2 catchable balls, not great passes but he needs to grab one -
If our 4th WR had a major break out season then something else could have happened to the others. Oliver is the guy I most want to see start to dominate. Edmunds will be better mostly because he will not playing injured and we should get better DT play with Star back.

I hate Brady more than the Cowboys. 1. As much as anyone, Brady is (or was) the Pats* 2. The Jimmy Johnson and his Cowboys were highly arrogant, but I also remember the good Cowboys of Tom Landry such as Roger Staubach, “Bullet” Bob Hayes, Ed “Too Tall” Jones, etc … all from a great era of the NFL. I think Tampa win tonight. 27-17 -
Your All Time 53 Man Bills Roster…Whose on it?
Bob in STL replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good effort but not enough knowkedge of the great 60’s and 70’s players. You don’t even mention Tom Sestak, the best DT in the AFL, far better than Dunaway, injuries cut his career short? He led our defense to two AFL championships. Corner Booker Edgerson was a shut down CB. Butch Byrd was not a safety but George Saimes was. No Ernie Warlich mention. Elbert Dubenion.? Robert James? Ron McDole? From the 70’s what about Jerry Butler? Better than many in later era. -
The 1980 win over the extremely hated Dolphins. That was a huge relief. Any game when the goalposts come down says it all. I was also at the Milloy 31-0 game but have to vote for the Miami game.

I used to watch a lot of NFL. The Bills and and several other Sunday games, always MNF, and then Thursdays, and then Sunday night, and all playoffs … The past few years, besides watching the Bills, I watch much less. Seems like its always there and I don’t like all the TV hype very much. I don’t identify with the players like I used too. I do think the players and coaching is better than ever, but I have changed I guess.

In your opinion, what’s the hardest position?
Bob in STL replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can argue that CB requires more physical skills and demands than any other position. It is the hardest position on Defense. QB is the only position that adds in the throwing arm and the only position that you possess the ball (while in play) on every offensive play. Today’s QB must throw and run. QB more is far more mentally demanding and requires split second decision making. In the league today, their are more elite and top level CBs than there are QBs. QB is the hardest position to draft and develop. It comes down to numbers and QB talent is the rarest, and the hardest to draft and develop. Since Jim Kelly retired we have drafted numerous Pro Bowl CB’s (Clements, Winfield, Gilmore and White) and only 1 impact QB in Josh Allen. -

Awesome story. Looks like we have another very driven player to root for. -
Bills cuts to get to 53 [final info in the OP]

His play did not standout while playing against 3-4 string players. He should get a spot on the practice squad but he really showed little in the preseason -

But, did you pick Taiwan Jones? -
I think we carry 7. Factor in that we now know at least 3 WRs are unvaccinated, 7 helps mitigate a risk.
-
If a cut is based on vaccination (or “planning”), then McKenzie is at risk too. McKenzie is the guy with the violation letter from the league? He is the one who broadcasted the letter, uncensored with email address, on Twitter. That showed bad form. While Beasley has been a Covid lightning rod no doubt, in this case he was wearing a mask and following protocol, he tested negative, and siimply complained (on Twitter) about the logic.

Except for Josh, is Trubisky best QB since Bledsoe?

PostGame Thread Bills @ Bears
Bob in STL replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Last season Robert’s fumbled 3 times - 1 kickoff and 2 punts, losing the ball twice. He fumbled only 1 punt the season prior. Robert’s has 415 career returns, with 21 fumbles, losing 8 of them. He fumbles about 5 times out of 100 attempts, which is probably good percentage wise but not infallible. Data I have seen shows this is close to the NFL average off 3% for kickoffs and 1% for punts.
