  1. It literally is. I’ve gotten suspended for it!!!!
  2. Baltimore overpaid for OBJ. No team wanted to give him that deal. Even KC was rumored to be waiting for the price to drop. Much like Cleveland signing Watson to guaranteed money, the OBJ overpay messed up the veteran WR market for the time being
  3. He was a good starting pitcher for Minnesota. My point is, the Mahomes family was never struggling for money
  4. His father was also one of the top MLB pitchers at one time. I don’t exactly think the family is struggling for money
  5. That was my thread! I deleted it after gettinf shamed by people like @Warcodered because I didn’t meticulously search beyond the second page of this forum for topics on previous threads!
  6. And yet people continue to B word that NYS gave them money to build a stadium
  7. I think it was a combination of Aaron Kromer and the fact that Buffalo tried to sign him in 2018. He was signed to a one-year so he was never going to be a long term answer, but I think they expected a lot more. He was the weakest link on a pretty average OL
  8. I remember in Week 1, he popped up a pass that turned into an INT. Obviously that goes on Josh, and maybe it was too hard of a throw, but a better receiver makes that catch.
  9. I saw this stat as well. He did bobble a backfield pass which caused a turnover against Kansas City but for some reason they gave that fumble to Allen.
  10. I noticed this too. For any other starting lineman in the NFL a few these plays would be categorized as “bad” reps. For Saffold, they are “decent.” 🤣 I’ve long said that given Star Lotulelei the big five-year contract was Brandon Beane’s worst FA signing. However Saffold might be a close second. His saving grace was that he was only signed to a one-year deal. But this was a HUGE year for Buffalo and he almost single-handedly made the line worse
  11. I think the only way Hopkins signs with Buffalo is if he doesn’t get the kind money of he wants - so the longer he wait the better it might be. If the contract offers are fairly comparable across the board, I think he’s going to prioritize team/QB and that’s where Buffalo might have an advantage alongside KC and Baltimore. All those teams seem content to wait it out as they don’t want to give him an OBJ contract
  12. Cool…thanks for the concrete examples. This makes more sense then “loses focus.” I wouldn’t say “just another guy.” The fear with McKenzie was that he was mainly a gadget guy who could take advantage of matchups - like he did with NE in 2021. 2022 seemed to prove this to be true. In the right situation he could make plays but he doesn’t seem to be able to do this consistently
  13. I’ve listened to just about all of his podcasts with Tyler Dunne. He presented it as though he was open and doing his job - Josh just wasn’t throwing to him
  14. Direct TV was a terrible service though. Most of us wouldn’t change providers -even if it meant getting the Sunday Ticket, so I’m pumped for YouTubeTV
  15. It’s doesn’t appear to be a vote of confidence but you never know why coaches say things publicly. They often use it as an opportunity to challenge players knowing it will get back to them - so the video study definitely makes sense. The most disappointing thing about Oliver is that the three DT’s that we passed on have greatly outplayed him in Lawrence, Simmons and Wilkins. Unless he breaks out, Ed is going to have to sign a contract that greatly dwarfs what those 3 make. At least we didn’t draft Jerry Tillery 😭
  16. Not at all… he clearly didn’t work out. I’m just wondering what happened - is it Isaiah? Or was it the way he used being used?
  17. I don’t get what you mean by situation/context. Give me some examples…
  18. He said on his podcast that he was running as fast as he could to the sideline. Not sure if that truly counts as situational
  19. I would believe ADHD by listening to his show with Dunne! can give a few examples of him not being situationally aware? I can think of 2 instances off the top of my head - one being his fumble in KC which actually went on Josh and was chalked up to a miscommunication. The other was week 3 against Miami where he was tackled in bounds to end the game. Neither of these seem like glaring examples
  20. He made some big mistakes…I wouldn’t call him awful. They just needed more from him at slot WR and he didn’t deliver. Not sure why I think Josh lost some trust in him which could account for him not getting more targets
  21. Like many here and many in the media, I thought we would see big things from Isaiah McKenzie. After signing a multi-year contract with Buffalo, it seemed like he was going to be the heir apparent to Cole Beasley. Even when the Bills signed Jamison Crowder, McKenzie routinely hyped as one of the most impressive WR’s in training camp. I believe he was called “uncoverable” several times by beat reporters. But last season was not the step forward we thought he would take. While he still put up decent numbers there were times when he seemed invisible in the offense - a far cry from when Cole Beasley’s role. I’m wondering why… did he struggle with getting open and reading defenses in the way that Beasley did? Did Allen not trust him? Was Dorsey unable to utilize his skills and find advantageous matchups for him, the way that Daboll did the season before? Or did McKenzie simply prove that he is not a starting caliber WR…and is instead more of a gadget/role player? I know there were issues with drops this season too which didn’t help. I know on Ty Dunne’s podcast he said he was getting open but wasn’t getting the ball. Is this true? I can’t say that I completely buy that. If anyone has theories why or has watched his film, let me know.
  22. I mean…you can’t deny the talent that Toney has always had. His issues have been availability. It does make you wonder how an offensive mind like Brian Daboll had no use for him. Still, I don’t think he’ll ever get close to a WR1 level. I do think he can be a high-end gadget type player and that Reid is smart enough to find creative ways to utilize his speed.
  23. Former Bills Defensive coach Leslie Frazier spoke to Albert Breer of Si.com. He is saying that he’s optimistic to get a HC job in 2024, and his plan to step away this season was to “re-charge” to prepare for a HC position. Most interesting quote was: ”Hopefully, an owner will give me a chance to talk to him about an opportunity,” Frazier said. “If that doesn’t happen, I’m good. I’ve had a good career. I’m good. My goal is to be a head coach. I know I don’t have much time left, I’m at an age where it seems like owners are going younger and younger, but I think I have some things I can bring to the table. We’ll see what happens.” Does this mean that Les is retired unless he can find a HC spot? Contrary to what some may say, his defenses always rank at the NFL. Believe it or not, If you look at the totality of his defensive rankings the past few years, he has a stronger resume than Vic “the genius” Fangio. With that being said, if HC is his goal, it’s going to ridiculously tough to catch on after the way the 2022 season ended. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/05/30/leslie-frazier-hopefully-ill-have-a-chance-to-interview-for-head-coaching-jobs-in-2024/
  24. I was referring to the person who said you could make a small fortune buying this stuff and selling it back to sports memorabilia collectors. The company that he paid does to run this sale takes a percentage of the total sales. They also sprung for security. That means that it’s highly likely someone on the staff will know the value of the collectibles and will price them accordingly. For that reason, I don’t think this sale will make fan wealthy. But if might be a good way for a collector to find something cool… I just don’t think it will be cheap
  25. Not really. The problem is that the auction house knows the value of the items. Something tells me they won’t be selling items at a “steal.” Maybe if they do 50% off towards the end of the sale, but the prices aren’t going to be cheap
