SF Bills Fan

my friends met #11 in Arizona at the game and she just emailed one of those photos to my buddy today.

I didn't watch the game at my normal bar in San Francisco, the North Star. I watched at a big sports bar near Pac Bell. There was no sound. It seemed like all crowd shots contained a majority of Bills fans in them. Toward the end it was a dejected group. It was ugliness. It was cat juggling. I hate stadiums that have to create enthusiasm around minor things. In Buffalo, we know if we moved the chains and we cheer without prompting and wait for a TD to really go crazy. I'd bet they manufacture crowd noise in AZ.

Normally I attend these games, but didn't make the trip to AZ this year. For mthe TV shots of the crowd, it looked like there were many Bills fans there. I recall the Sunday night game in Tempe many years ago when there appeared to be more Bills fans in the stadium than Cardinal fans.

That guy had potential but could not keep his anger in check. He should have turned it loose on the field- he would have been good. He was handed too many 2nd chances and blew them all.

I have never watched it again. I only saw it once when I watched it live. I can still remember it as vividly as last weeks game. Aaaarggh. Maybe when the Bills win a Super Bowl, I'll go back and revisit those 4 games. Revisit is the wrong word. I've revisited them a million times ian my head. I mean rewatch.

The more disses we ge tthe better. Under the radar is where we want to be. The only person I want to hear give us credit is Berman.

Carter has never liked or respected the Bills. Something must have happened in the past. He is a grudge holder. He still hates Buddy Ryan and the Eagles for passing him over. Who cares with these guys anyway? As far as I can see, there are no world beaters in this league. Anyone seems to be able to defeat anyone. Every team is is potentially dangerous. Dallas and Denver just found that out. I'd rather just continue to be an underrated team that continues to get no respect from the experts.

I pray that our opponent would be Dallas. I would love to destroy them. This Dallas team couldn't hold that 90's team's jock.

I'd rather have Kelly and his group buy them. I could see Cuban moving them to LA.

It's amusing how the media was quick to make darlings of the Jets and many experts predicted they would finish ahead of us in the AFC East. I know it is early, but it appears they were ridiculously wrong. I think we can hand them 2 losses this year.

I'll be in Cocoa Beac to the south of Jacksonville this Sunday. Will the Bills/Jax game be on TV? I know Miami and Tampa both play at 4:15 EST.

I've been going to the North Star for Bills Games for 15 years. It might be one of the most famous ex-pat Bills bars in the country. There is no other bar to go to. I'm sure Ed will have the game on both TV's up front and plenty of Blue on ice. I've never heard anyone say they were disappointed with the North Star. Are you sure you are a Bills Fan?

Jacksonville has a metro population of 1.3 million to Buffalo's 1.1 million. They don't have a city like Rochester or Toronto to count on as part of the fan base. I am still unclear how they got the team beyond the fact that Wayne Weaver was well liked by other owners and St. Louis didn't have it's act together at the time they gave out those two franchises.

The Bills always have to show up on a list like that even though I am sure this asshat is well aware that the team is solid with Ralph still around. I'd say the Saints might be a good bet to move, especially if things turn out badly tomorrow. The Jaguars should move since they can't sell out even for Monday Night games. Including the Niners on this list cuts all credibility for this jerk.

I don't put too much stock in the size of an actual city. Buffalo is a tiny city in terms of sq. miles with no options for expanding while other cities have grown and incorporated suburbs. Cities like Oklahoma City can say they are larger but it's not. Oklahoma City is 718 Sq. miles. Buffalo is 52 sq. miles of which 11 is Lake Erie. If Buffalo were 718 sq. miles, it would have a population of 900,000 and be one of the largest cities in the country. And he ignored regionalism.

He can if he demonstrates loyalty by killing a family member.

I think the team will do well in Oklahoma City. They are the only major league team there and this has to be the last large city in the US without a major league team. I think the Hornets did really well there when they played there because of Katrina. This showed OKC could support a team. That said, I don't like when teams move especially teams with history like the Sonics. Plus, Seattle is just too big and wealthy not to have a team. My guess is that Seattle gets an expansion team in the future. It'll be like a Browns scenario. I travel to Seattle for work all the time, and they were pretty apathetic about this situation. Seattle is a football town first (like Buffalo), so this was not the end of the world to the people there. If the Bills try to go, there will be a massive battle, not just resigned acceptance and indignation.

I blame the silly drinking age. Thank you Elizabeth Dole. Someone needs to allow states to decide what the legal drinking age should be.

It'll be the Jaguars that move if any team does. They never should have gotten a team there. The San Francisco Chronicle reported today that the Jags are starting to be shopped.

Looks like there are women there in the last photo. I drink with my friends all the time with no ladies around and I'm not gay. Not sure about my friends though...
