  1. I was going to try to buy it off of her. You would have a lot of explaining to do wearing that around.
  2. I think you are over-reacting. That doesn't seem malicious. I once saw a woman in Oakland at a Pak n Sav in a slummy part of town wearing a Buffalo Bills Super Bowl Champion sweatshirt. I am pretty sure they give them out to lower income people as well.
  3. I don't think the brain trust is purposefully setting the Bills up for a fall and a move, but I think it'll be much much easier for the team to leave if we go through 2-3 more bad seasons and attendance starts to drop. Picture 2009, the Bills come off a 2-14 season, Juaron is fired and average attendance was 30k per game. It's not a stretch to say that some other cities will eyeing the franchise. I hope this team succeeds starting next year. If it gets managed to the ground it will be gone. We will not have the luxury of going through 10 years of mediocrity or worse. I've never been a big alarmist and always defended the position that things were rosy forthe Bills in Buffalo, but many of the other candidates for relocation are getting new stadiums and turning things around. Even the Saints will play in NO for 2006 and beyond. We are entering the most critical period this franchise has seen since Kelly arrived and things turned around in the mid 80's. so far, I am not encouraged.
  4. The Steelers have always had reputation as a team with tight purse strings. That isn't a Buffalo thing. Running Polian out was a big problem though. I'll never get over that.
  5. What an idiot. I'm sorry he commited suicide, but he was not a smart business man. In Dallas, you have a lot of transplants that will fill the bars for the Packers and Bills. We have them here in San Francisco, the Northstar is like that. That is actually smart business. I doubt there are many Dallas transplants in Wellsville. RIP you moron.
  6. I'd think the Jacobs would step up. I know Jeremy Jacobs wanted to buy the Browns expansion team. $708 million might be too much. I see no reason why soemone from NYC (for example) with deep pockets wouldn't be interested in buying the team and operating it in WNY. Sadly the ownership groups in a place like LA could wildly outbid most anyone interested.
  7. I know the part of OP he lives in and it's a pretty isolated palce on a private drive in a avery exclusive area. There is no way that was happening.
  8. We need a coach who has been there already and knows the in and outs of being the man. Not a rookie head coach that has to go through all those growing pains. Capers is a tough guy to play for, I hear. I wonder how the guys would react?
  9. I'd hate it to be because of family concerns over welfare and criticism. But if he has doubts, then he should go. You have to be strong and resolved and able to take criticism. His resolve is not strong.
  10. I'd love to have Ted back as the DC.
  11. I think willis wants to get out of Buffalo. I might want out after last year too.
  12. Marc, are you Kingman Gordon's cousin? Just curious.
  13. I wouldn't slight Bannan. The guy has been versatile and he is plugger that does whatever has been asked and fills in nicely. At least he shows up and plays. Where was fat Sam last week?
  14. What a great idea. You could make a mint if you did it right and didn't screw up by selling booze. Someone should take one on the road and follow the Motley Crue tour around.
  15. Agrees, those rankings are meaningless.
  16. We are getting murdered tonight. The stands look barren too. Very depressing.
  17. I've don't dislike Sullivan. I don't always agree, but this time I agree 100%.
  18. The main groups were in the upper deck. The lower bowl was more Charger fans and that is what you mainly saw on TV, I would guess. There were lots of Bills fans there- close to 10k I'd say. Our tailgate was surrounded by Bills fans and we were not anywhere near one of the two big gatherings.
  19. Something needs to be done to light a fire. If it takes getting rid of a high priced overrated slacker, then I say do it. I'd like to Sam Adams go, but I worry about depth.
  20. Yeah it was fun seeing so many Bills fans. They were goign crazy. Great weather- everything was perfect until the game started. I stopped watching at the half bascially. Just started to hang in the concourse and talk to other frustrated fans.
  21. Spikes is the one guy I really do feel sorry for. His leadership is really missed right now. At what point do we start losing out on top free agents that won't want ot coem to a bad situation? It's geting close.
  22. Get rid of all of them. Bring in the Winnepeg Blue bombers line. It would probably be an improvement.
  23. I think he is still capable of the big play and he can get it done, I just don't see the fire there anymore. I think his confidence in the management and play calling aren't there. I guess- to his credit he has done what was asked through some tough years and many QB changes. I guess I might finally lose faith if I were in his shoes. This is just a total mess.
  24. It's scary to say, but I think Mularkey and Donahoe have lost this team. I don't think the veterans are stepping up to take a leadership role. Spikes is not there right now to lead. JP might be trying, but it is early still. Even worse is the performance on the field. Some high priced guys are mailing it in. I'm going to point the finger at Sam Adams and Vincent. I hate to say it, but Eric Moulds is not performing. I used to think he was a rock solid dependable guy, now I think it might be time to show him the door. Yesterday was a scary game because I think we saw the future of that team and it is pretty grim. Now we will have to rebuild again. How long will it take to do that with the woefull offensive and defensive lines? Yuck.
  25. San Diego is a great place, but that is the worst game I've seen. Worse than the Bills-Niners game a few years back. I just left and went out in the concourse and hung out with Bills fans. There were tons of Bills fans there- at least it was good to see the fans representing. I've rarely seen a Bills team just not show up like that. We have a major problem, in my opinion and it is time to have a fire sale. I'd start by getting rid of Sam Adams, then I'd fire the offensive line. Bring in the best the CFL has to offer- I bet they would play better. At least Losman is getting a chance to play, which is crucial. This team is going exactly nowhere, the main goal is to make sure JP continues to develop.
