  1. Awesome...a Bills fan on the supreme court. Maybe now we can get some calls to go our way.
  2. Road House is a terrible movie in many ways, but it is quite likeable.
  3. Agreed, great show.
  4. Ah yes. Ohio...the heart of it all. I know Columbus very well.
  5. My buddy saw Wedding Crashers on a free screening and said it's hilarious.
  6. 10 beers? Are you sure she was cute?
  7. I'd move back to Buffalo if I could find a decent job there. I'm pretty sick of California. Too much for houses in San Francisco and it keeps going up. The average price is close to 600k and you get a piece of crap house for that. Traffic is terrible, and is going to get worse every year. There are a lot of people here that look down on people that live in places like Buffalo, but they are kidding themselves.
  8. That is going on today in San Francisco? I didn't hear anything about it.
  9. Philadelphia is live and so is London. They are flashing back to the artists that already played in London- U2, Coldplay etc. I think Floyd is later, so they will be live.
  10. It just came on MTV here in San Francisco. It looks really cool. I just got chills seeing U2 and McCartney walk out and take the stage together.
  11. I've heard good things. I wanted to go tonight, but missed the showing I wanted. I'll go Friday. I still need to see Batman and Land of the Dead
  12. I was at that game. So awful. I was stunned when that happened. Thought we had a TD and Plummer went the whole way.
  13. Bruce was never very cool when you ran into him.
  14. You could have just taken them out back and shot them. Would have saved alot of time and trouble.
  15. Do yourself a huge favor and watch this show. You are lucky, you have it all still ahead of you and there will be little wait for the new season. I'm counting the days until it's return in the fall.
  16. I did see it. The coolest screening room I've seen. Better than regular theatres. Your friends must be big time techies.
  17. There was an implied scene (the younglings fate). If it had actually been shown in the film, this movie would have been too inappropriate for anyone under 7 or 8. I'd say a-ok.
  18. Ha! Good one. I guess that might be one of the few things I didn't see- a bar of any sort, though I would guess there is one. He has an inn there for the actors and other directors that come up to work on the movies. They need their jesus juice and this place is pretty isolated. there were places to eat all over and good grub too. Pools, gyms, hoops court.
  19. My buddy works there and they are moving to the Presidio soon, so this was my last chance. Got a real insiders tour and I even saw George himself. This has to be the coolest place to work. Saw tons of cool artifacts from the movies, al lthe lightsabres etc. The state of the art production facilties and the screening rooms, sound stages (the Stones made one of their albums there) etc. There is even a vineyard that Francis Coppola uses for his wines. This place was amazing. Having seen the movie again just last Thursday, it was a cool follow up.
  20. Yeah, it lost it's way and went from sly humor and an intelligent (somewhat) movie to the standard "let's wrap this up with a shoot- out and move to the happy ending" mode. Still, it was good and hilarious at times. When they go to the bar for safety- "Do you think his master plan is going to amount to anything more than sitting and eating peanuts in the dark?"
  21. They can play video games as well. See Shaun of the Dead for proof.
  22. 28 Days Later was cool. There are several different endings to that, I haven't seen them though. They used the happy ending as the others are suppossed to be darker. I thought it would have been a better ending had that military jet turned around and shot them up, since there was suppossed to be a quarantine on. They did a great job at the beginning when they had the scenes of empty London. That movie was done with a small budget, but done well. They are doing a sequel to it about the aftermath and how they English go about rebuilding the country after the quarantine is lifted. I'm skeptical.
  23. Romero did a lot with a shoestring budget. Let's credit Tom Savini's makeup affects. I liked the effects from the remake. Ving Rahmes and Sarrah Polley are good actors, but let's admit that there was someting the original had over this one- that funny social commentary (intentional or not) with the zombies at the mall, wandering around while the muzak played. There was even a hare krishna. Also, the mall inhabitants vs. the bikers. That was missing. The one thing I really liked fro mthe remake was having Andy across the way and the chess match and "celebrity" shootdown. I liked the beginning of the remake better than the original, but that was mainly due to the fact that they had a better budget for the remake. This new one has a very good cast, so I think it will be good. They wouldn't sign on to a bad script. From what I understand, when the remake did well in theatres last year, they gave Romero more money, so the effects should be pretty good.
  24. The original Tim Burton movie wasn't bad. They went downhill from there. I didnt' even bother to see the last.
