  1. Agree 100%. Dane held up really well in the playoffs. Now, the Bills may have been giving Dane more safety help than Wallace but the fact Wallace only got $4m per and the Bills weren't interested says a lot. I blame coaches for Wallace's alignment on the two passes in the last 13 seconds but in retrospect perhaps Wallace lined up wrong?? We'll never know.
  2. Unlike most, I won't miss Wallace. he's a great story from UFA to starter, but, just recent memory of the playoffs I remember: 1. being burned for an easy TD on NE's first drive, bailed out by Hyde 2. Needless PI call vs NE on 3rd down 3. TD by Hill with a minute left 4. two catches were on him in the last 13 seconds (though full disclosure I blame coaching more than him) Seems to me, if the Bills weren't willing to pay him $4m per, they have similar observations. With hopefully a better pass rush this year, the CB's will be better protected too. Give me Peterson, Gilmour, Rhodes or even Seymour on a reasonable 1 year deal + draft two CB's (one on day one or two) and we'll be good to go
  3. Like Tariq a lot but not at 25. Would love a top WR at 25 then trade up to the middle of the 2nd for Tariq Are we even sure Sauce lasts to 7 though. Trade would probably be contingent on that
  4. Tre withstanding, in our system of zone, I think you can get a CB in rd 2 or 3 that'll work well. I go IOL first: Zion or Green, CB in the 2nd: Woolen, Gordon, Bryant, Taylor-Britt WR in the 3rd: Metchie III, Austin III, Kyle Phillips
  5. I don't like McCreary at 25. Too small with short arms - not Beane's type at CB. I like about 6 other CB's better than him. I think McCreary falls to the 2nd, maybe the mid 2nd
  6. or magic Beans
  7. Like except 25 is too early for Breece. He seems to go in the mid 2nd in most drafts. If you really want him, trade #2 and #3 to move up in the 2nd
  8. I'd rather have Patrick Peterson, maybe even Rhodes. Gilmore doesn't seem like a process guy
  9. Especially since the last time we drafted a cb in the first lt was tre white at 27. Now the past doesn’t guarantee the future but if we get anywhere near Tre at 25 we’ll be golden
  10. I like it but I think there’s probably about a 25% chance Jamison is there. take the best rated IOL, CB or WR on your board at 25 and do the same in rd 2, eliminating the position you chose in the 1st
  11. The favorite one I’ve done so far. I traded 25 and a 5th for 26 and a late 3rd: 26 (via trade down) McDuffie CB 57 Rhyan OG 89 (via trade) Lindstrom OC 90 Austin III WR 130 Kyle Philips WR 185 Jolly CB 203 Araiza P 231 Price, RB
  12. They can still extend Diggs and create significant cap savings - up to $12ish million I would guess can also extend/restructure a couple of others; poyer, Dawkins are a couple that come to mind
  13. Beane will probably do something like this; extend the contract a year, adding a salary of say $4m to 2023 and converting $5m of the $6m 2022 salary into a signing bonus. The cap would then be: 2022: $3.5m 2023: $6.5m lowers the cap hit and gives you a solid backup for two years not just one
  14. Love jerry but if we don’t move anybody out (Epenesa) there’s no room for him
  15. Agreed BUT is much easier to have a man to man corner play zone than a zone corner (like wallace) play man to man. If healthy, Gilmore is going to be good in any scheme but he’ll still likely get $10m+ which is too rich for our blood. I Iike Peterson, Rhodes or maybe even Seymour on a 1 year cap friendly deal or a 2 year deal to spread out the signing bonus
  16. Full disclosure, I’m biased as he was a friend of my sons at wake forest, but walker III will be as good as Hall
  17. I’d Dotson is who you want there’s no reason not to take him at 25. 4.47 is plenty fast and although he’s smaller than ideal he’s got the best hands in the draft. NOW if Williams or either of the Ohio state WRs fall to 25 i jump at that first but Dotson will have a very good career and has the background the bills look for
  18. Love him but got to think the off the field stuff - a lot initiated by himself- along with his decreased abilities led to this. They probably also asked him to take a pay cut which I’m sure he refused. The fact he came up empty looking for a trade says all that needs to be said. 31 teams wouldn’t even give up a 7th for him there’s a receiver from UCLA that we could probably get in the 4th (certainly the 3rd) - can’t remember his name - who would be a perfect replacement
  19. Dane played better down the stretch than Wallace and there’s a great chance we sign a veteran cb anyway and pick one at 25 or latest at 57. Btw, last time we picked a cb in the 1st round it was Trey and he was picked a couple of picks later than 25…… in Beane we trust
  20. Trust in Beane. If doesn’t re-sign him there’s a reason. Plus who knows if he fits in well with the new Oline coach??
  21. Kenneth walker III is better and will go around the same range- early to late 2nd
  22. Highly highly doubtful- you don’t take a guard in the first You take a cb or wr. You can find starting guards in rd 3 and 4. He’s not a guard but look at brown taken in the 3rd last year
  23. You know what….call me crazy but I think I’ll trust Beane’s analysis here.
  24. On to Clowney or a Hunter trade…..
