  1. we think alike - Maybe we trade out of the 1st (and grab an early 3rd) to a qb needy team and draft watson in the early 2nd. Like Woolen too, raw but ridiculous athleticism. Maybe we sign a veteran CB and draft Woolen with the acquired early 3rd. With the 2nd rounder, take the best guy on your board (RB if Hall or the kid from Mich St drop).
  2. I've been researching and am really warming up to Christian Watson AND at 25!! 6'3" 208 with 4.36 speed. He doesn't have the stats in college, but ND St was a running team. He has the 2nd best athletic score of any WR since 1987 and can't teach that. Sounds a lot like a certain QB that we drafted 4 years ago.
  3. Twitter says Von golfing with Joe Haden today
  4. A lock - politicians like to b*tch about it for political reasons but would never cut their throats by taking a stand
  5. True, BUT, theoretically, teams he's trying to trade up with could be talking
  6. McDuffie is the obvious pick at this point. now, if we add a Gilmore/rhodes/Nelson that might change
  7. We were in on Peterson so I think Beene will add a veteran - have a feeling it’ll be Nelson, though I can dream about Gilmore
  8. Bills pick should be obvious, though in the real draft I greatly doubt he’ll be there
  9. If Olave or Wilson or Williams are there in the 1st you take them (doubtful) if not, take BPA in rd 1 (hopefully a cb) and take Pickens or Austin in rd 2 (pickens prob won’t be there). I also really like Kyle Phillips (UCLA) as a 4th rd pick. He looks like a faster Cole Beasley to me I don’t think so. Not enough production at North Dakota state, though they are the Bisons
  10. You nailed it. Nelson is the perfect cb for the Bills zone d. Plus, He should be relatively affordable
  11. Nice list - great job. Loving Christian Watson wish he had better stats. for some reason I think we end up with Dotson- Penn state for Pegula, great last season, decent 2020 season. Only 5’11 but thick and anyway we have tall receivers in Gabe, kumerow and hodgins
  12. Fair enough
  13. Hard no - I do not want McDermott to be tempted to have josh throw less
  14. Perfect game vs Pats has to be up there.
  15. 2 WRs may be excessive, but 2 CB's isn't. we typically only play 2 LB's, so any that you draft is mostly for ST, We have two top safeties already, have 10 DT/DEs that we probably keep on the team, and a how's a RB getting any PT behind the 3 guys we have (unless it's a 1st round pick).
  16. I’m sure it’s vet minimum so it’s cap neutral
  17. Beasley absolutely didn’t fall off a cliff last year - he never had any speed to begin with. Some fans like to justify a player Leaving by saying such things. My opinion is the Bills grew a bit sick of his antics and Beasley didn’t like some of the backlash he got from the public. Fresh start for both I suppose
  18. Agree. Brown needs to improve at RT this year, and i think he will. Asking a 3rd round pick to start at RT as a rookie (especially one from a small program) is asking a lot. He struggled a ton, which would be expected, but Josh bailed him out a lot. Josh had one of the highest pressure rates in the NFL. It's one of the subtle differences between a Josh Allen and Joe Burrow. You pressure Josh and more often than not he escape; you pressure Burrow and more often than not he's sacked. good theory - quite possible
  19. Correct - can't restructure it until next year. I really like this signing - I didn't think we'd match and he was really really good last year. He's got a lot of quick in his game and Kromer will utilize this - a lot of pulling, probably a lot of zone blocking. Bates and the new LG we signed are really athletic. The guys we cut free, Feliciano and Williams were not.
  20. This is what I think happened: Beane tendered Bates at the lowest level cuz he didn't think he'd attract all that much attention - this turned out to be be incorrect. Beane should have put the 2nd round tender on him. It would have cost a bit more than the $2m lower level tender but would have dissuaded other clubs from attempting to sign him 'cuz nobody's giving up a 2nd rounder for him. In the end Beane pays a bit more this year for Bates than he wanted, but the good thing is they get him for 4 years at a reasonable contract instead of 1 year (having to go through this all again in a year). Contrary to what some have said here, I think he did grade out very well in his starts at LG. Singletary took off around the same time Bates got in the lineup. Big Q is can he play RG as well as he did LG? Personally, I have more concern with Brown at LT than i have with Bates at LG
  21. He's a Bill, he has no choice
  22. nope unless he's a guard like the Colts drafted in the 1st (right before we drafted Josh) - can't remember his name. There are no guards like that in this draft, certainly not at 25. my picks: rd 1: CB or WR rd 2: CB or wr (Whichever you didn't pick in rd 1) rd 3: Guard (or Tackle who projects as a guard) rd 4: CB or WR rd 5: CB or WR, whichever you didn't choose in rd 5 3 picks in rds 6 and 7: Bets player available, one should be a punter
  23. Maybe they are and just are making Chicago wait. Then they take the Bates money and put it towards a veteran?? or Beane is irritated that Chicago signed him, plans to match, and making Chicago wait puts Chicago in the disadvantage of not pursuing another guard
  24. Only $20m for Diggs? Where did you see this? I would think with receivers getting $30m, he’d want at least $25m
