  1. absolutely agree with this. Benford, especially with his size, has real potential. Dane was a starter from a big program (pittsburgh) and almost wasn't drafted - that says a lot. I think he has a lot of talen but seriously lacks basic DB instincts....and....I think oyu either have that or you don't. He was terrible the last 2 weeks and was burned for a last second TD yesterday (3rd and 1 with 32 seconds left) if Goff didn't badly misthrow a pretty routine QB throw. Elam wasn't shown much yesterday because Detroit saw no reason to throw in his direction. A top 4 of White, Elam, Rhodes and Johnson sounds great to me
  2. I'm a runner where meniscus tears are the most common runner knee injury (other than your normal runner's knee/IT band issues which are issues with inflammation). Now running on a meniscus tear (pounding affect), vs sharp cuts in football are very different, but for runners a meniscus tear has 2 outcomes: 1. surgery to remove the torn flap that is hindering movement. FOR A RUNNER this keeps them from running for about a month. 2. more commonly, no surgery is needed (this has happened this year to both my wife an myself) and running can resume as soon as it settles down. Football movement is a lot different than running, but, hopefully it's the same timeframe if Von "only" has a meniscus tear.
  3. Dane is 5'11", Tre is 5'11"; which is the normal height for a DB. Dane's issue is talent and technique...7th rounder for a reason. Beane even said when we picked him, "well we really needed a CB there, so we chose him." Not exactly a ringing endorsement
  4. Who's this Dane Jockson you reference? All aplogies and sorry for disrupting your day....I read the first 10-15 threads on the site and the "Dane was toast" one was way down the list and I didn't see it
  5. I know he's only a 7th round pick, and was deemed a future superstar by Romo yesterday (does Romo watch film??), but literally 80% of Detroit's passing was geared to whomever he was covering. Tight coverage or not, he was constantly burned. Johnson gave up the one 4th down TD, but other than that, it's hard to recall seeing Tre, #47 or Elam all during the game. That's because Goff new he shouldn't challenge them and just go after Dane. If Goff doesn't make a terrible throw on 3rd and one with 30 seconds left, Dane would have burned for a killer TD also. He was also terrible vs Cleveland. Good news is when Tre comes back he'll be on the sidelines. My question is why we didn't see Rhodes yesterday (who was quite good for Cleveland) or more of Elam and 47, with Dane benched??
  6. McKenzie has 1-2 games a year where he is a huge difference maker. This was one. He's either being underutilized or there just are some games where the defense is scheme specific for him to be successful? Lions were doubling Diggs a ton thorough 3 quarters alllowing McKenzie to be open. Strange to me was the absence of Knox until Q4??
  7. Dawkins was standing on the sidelines the whole 2nd half, in uniform, with out a boot or anything. So, hopefully it's a minor ankle sprain. If it was a more serious high ankle sprain, would have thought he'd be out of uniform in a boot??
  8. 4-7 isn't exactly turning things around, 1-6 start or not
  9. NE kicker had missed 2 40something yarders already so FG there wasn’t a given
  10. he plays prevent defense all game on 3rd down but when up 3 score with 5 minutes left his DB's get beat deep? Watched what Dallas did to Minnesota on 3rd down, and maybe Dallas defense is a lot more talented than us, but Fraser should watch that tape
  11. I get all 22 as I'm over 12 and can subscribe to the Athletic. I guess it's too much to request posters to contribute to the threads.......
  12. Bloom will be off the rose shortly for Daboll - Giants have the toughest remaining schedule in the league and they're not that good to begin with
  13. not sure what you were watching, Dane was twice as bad. You miust want Dane hung from the plane then? Are you like 12 years oild?
  14. Dline was excellent. Would have liked some sacks but limited two really good RB's and were stout. A lot the back 7 except Milano were horrible. 46 I didn't see to much which was good for him and Rhodes didn't give up anything (though not sure how much he played), but I've never seen Johnson (7) and Dane play worse
  15. funny thing is, as bad as are offense was (especially in the first 28 minutes), we've still scored more than any other team this week (tied with detroit)
  16. I think when Tre deems himself ready to play, if he every graces us with his presence agaib, Rhodes may be the other starter.
  17. May be the worst game by DBs i've seen in a while - look the fck back for the ball. 53 was absolutely hideous too. Milano and Phillips saved the day I think we would have lost to most teams today - Cleveland handed u the game with that fumble lack of practice had to hurt but team slept walked through the game
  18. People don’t know how good they have it. Josh will be fine. It’s almost like they’ve forgot all the Qbs from Kelly to josh. The narrative comes across as a spoiled brat temper tantrum
  19. Caused by 2 backups who unfortunately had to play. Bedford missed the tackle or it would have been a 6 yard gain then Lewis took a terrible angle turning a 20 yard gain into 82. not his fault, he’s a PS CB but Lewis killed us
  20. defense dropped off noticeably when he left. His replacement had a couple of throws barely go over his hands that Edmunds would have defended with his length.
  21. he's been a bit quiet but saved the game with the sack last week. Fail is a bit harsh
  22. and the 6061 total yards would set an NFL record by 400 or 500 yards (Drew Brees). Once he stops throwing INT's (and he will), all will be better than fine
  23. Way Better projected actually: 5,162 yards 38 touchdowns 19 INTs 899 rushing yards 8 touchdowns 9 fumbles 6,061 total yards 46 total TDs
  24. Von has 8 sacks, not the same as Hughes, but who cares about being accurate when starting a ridiculously stupid thread
