Dorian Williams in the Hoecht/Lorax role?
Virgil replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it's nice in theory, but I don't believe Williams is as strong as Hoecht. Hoecht was bull rushing through people and if they didn't get their full body in front of him, it was game over. -
Going to the game in Miami this Sunday - Suggestions?
Virgil replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
What sucks is, while buying our tickets, it showed us as being in the shade and I didn't question it. Plus, the canopy seems to cover everything except the field. Needless to say, I was pissed when I read that the visitor side lower bowl is still likely to be in the sun. I'm hoping it being November takes some edge off the sun, or row 25 is far enough back to get some shade. As of now, I'm thinking I'll park at the Casino and walk the mile to the stadium. -
Would you rather playoff seeding scenario?
Virgil replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
We know that the Chiefs can "turn it on" in the playoffs and knock us out. We barely beat the Ravens the last few games. I have zero faith in any of the other teams knowing how to win in the playoffs, and even with the #5 seed, there's a good chance we could still host a playoff game in the AFC championship game. I think the Bills would be favored in all of their games as the #5 seed as well. I know that Josh has never won on the road, but that's really only KC for the last 4 years. Home vs KC or Baltimore would be scarier to me than on the road against anyone else. -

How is the shuttle service? We are staying at a hotel across the street from Chase Stadium for the Inter Miami game on Saturday. I was going to try and park at the Casino and walk from there, but am open to suggestions -

Is the sun really that bad in the seats? The images all show the the seats in the shade from the canopy. We are on the visitors 50, 25 rows back -

I'm sorry, but what's the point of this? Why would anyone want to spend time in there when the game is on? -

We got tickets to see Messi play for Inter Miami on Saturday and a hotel across the street from that stadium. We just got tickets on the Visitor 50 for the Dolphins game. Any suggestions for parking, or things to do the morning of? Any parking suggestions for the game? -

Week 10, Bills v. Fish, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Virgil replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fish 37 Bills 20 With Benford out, Waddle ends the Hairston honeymoon, going over 200 yards and 3 touchdowns. Cook doesn't play more than a quarter before tweaking his ankle, and the run game does nowhere without him. The Bills keep it close, before a late turnover puts the Phins up 34-20. A late FG ends it and Tua takes the kneel down. -
Dolphins wanted a first and at least a second for Waddle. No thank you

I saw the same things, so just curious. I wonder if it’s all the same smoke screens come draft time, or again, people heard that Beane basically made a phone call to check in. I’ll give you that
-
How do we know they were active? To me, calling to check in is not being active. Making offers, negotiating, or getting outbid is being active. Not dumping on you, just sharing my thoughts. Here’s why I was willing to trade a 1st and possibly more for a WR1. This upcoming draft doesn’t seem to be WR heavy. We also swing and miss at our last WR in the draft. Samuel hasn’t worked out and Palmer seems to be just a speed guy, not so much a route/speed/boundary guy So, to me, to get a proven guy with a cheap contract for the next year or two, knowing Samuel/Knox’s contracts will be less by the time comes to resign the new receiver, it was a no brainer. We don’t have anyone that draws a double team or makes a defense afraid at receiver. We need that in crucial situations, if only just to free up someone else to make a play. Also, if not now, then when l?

I have to think that Waddle and Wilson aren’t available to us. You’d think Olave would be into CB able now, but who knows. Either way, I think that “everyone eats” tweet was very intentional. Add to that Beane’s stubbornness about receivers, I’m sure he’ll point to our 30 ppg and Palmer coming back as enough. We will pry get a DT and that’s it. Typical BS

Was this on anyone’s radar? Talk about blowing it all up

I need to see that compensation

I don’t think Garrett can be moved after signing his new deal

https://www.nbcsports.com/fantasy/football/player-news?playerNewsId=0000019a-4724-d673-a39e-e7b537860000 For those wanting BTJ or thinking the Meyers trade is an indication they are about to move him. Nothing long term has been determined from the injury as of now, but this feels like a depth move, not a chess move.
-
From my understand, BTJ just hurt his ankle and could be out for a while. With Hunter out too, they need a receiver. I don’t think it’s anything more than that

A Few Thoughts about the Chiefs Game - Community Edition
Virgil replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is that true? I thought there were quite a few poorly graded refs that keep coming back, partially because they have a union. -
Hurry the ***** up Beane. I’m bored
-
In fairness, he’s asleep
-
Just saw that. For some reason, I thought his cap to the team being traded was low. We never could have afforded him, nor should we have tried
