I think they are very high on Carter. Also, even if Carter was 80% effective as Jones, they would move on from Jones on age and contract alone (I think)

I think Carter and Walker will have 6 weeks to prove Jones is expendable. If not, one of them could get stashed on the practice squad.

If I'm not mistaken, we might be +1 to our line capacity, so someone isn't making the team, or hoping to get stashed on the IR. It'll get interesting once the suspensions are done.

I trust the process more after round 3 than anywhere else with this regime. They've done a great job of finding talent in the later rounds.

There's your 1T. Everyone can rest easy now. Interesting to me that they took him over Farmer, considering the visits they had with Farmer. Also, surprised they felt they needed to trade up for him, since the ratings I saw for Walker had him going lower. ESPN has Walker 10 rating points less than Farmer, for whatever that is worth.

With his ability to cover at LB, S, and nickel, I think he would be great in this defense. You could disguise him in so many ways. He could also shadow a TE. Wishful thinking, but 🤷🏻‍♂️

In hindsight, I wish we would have tried to trade up to 20 to get Harmon. That was always my draft goal, to get ahead of Pittsburgh because I felt like DT was their choice and others would have gone. I would have easily given up a 2nd to get Harmon. We still could have probably traded up and at least gotten Amos, if not another DB. Nothing against Hairston, but I wanted two impact players, and I feel like all the D-Line impact players are gone now.
