  1. Edelman fumbling made me happier than it should. Sherman recovering it made it less pleasant, but it was the lesser of two evils.
  2. You should say Mack, since we actually passed on him and never had a chance at Von. When we traded up, I was hoping it would be Mack.
  3. Skins jerseys looking good.
  4. As I'm enjoying my stress free Sunday and watching other teams slug it out, I hear the announcers talking about division standings. How these teams with a .500 record can move into second or first place with a win today. It just pisses me off to think about every season where we know we have to probably go 12-4 if we want to win our division. How the wild card conversation is the only one we can usually have. We don't get the benefits/luck/parity that all of the other divisions get. We get the Pats every single year and easily the biggest contributor to our playoff drought. I'm not saying anything new here. And yes, if you want to win then you need to be better. Yadda Yadda Yadda. But teams get in many times due to poor competition or just off years. We never seem to get that benefit and it blows.
  5. I see what you did there! 😀
  6. To the whole "who are you going to replace him with crowd".... Usually it's the next up and coming coordinator or whatever head coach got fired for not getting their team over the jump. There's hardly ever a super bowl winning coach just hanging out without a job. It's always a risk. I know he's not looking great right now, but IF they do fire him, here's my number one Jim Schwartz, under the condition of keeping Lynn. I think he would be a good fit and the easiest transition. Has the background and players liked him.
  7. I remember reading the D&C in home room when these guys were acquired. Rob was supposed to be the guy and Flutie just wouldn't go away. When Flutie won, there was just a spark out there and they found a way. The problem was, it wasn't very conventional and I personally believe it drove the coaches nuts. It was like the Tebow and Vince Young runs, it worked but it was thought to not be sustainable. Rob Johnson had all the tools and when he was on, looked like a Hall of Famer. But he was rarely on. His best game was the season ender against the Colts, where he stole the starting job on the last game and took it into the Titans game. He left that field a winner, but the team didn't. End result, neither guys played how you wanted them too and because Rob was supposed to be the guy, even though Flutie won, the chip on Flutie's shoulder that followed him from the CFL apparently led to some bad blood in the locker room. No one really knows what happened there, but there was enough smoke to insinuate fire. Those were some tough years because we still expected the playoffs and didn't know what laid ahead of us.
  8. If he wants us to trade him to the Pats, just do it then. We will be better off
  9. Sorry, but the OP logic is flawless
  10. NoVa Northern Virginia. 20 min outside DC
  11. Rex was brought in because of his defensive mind and history with taking a team to the AFC Championship game. With that, here are my pro's and con's Pros: Offensive Continuity - I believe the offense is getting better and will continue to do so. If you bring in a new head coach, you will pry lose Lynn as the new coach will want his own guys National Attention and Demeanor - Rex has gotten a ton better with the media in regards to not being so obnoxious. I've been happy with how he's carried himself this year. I also believe that he is the reason for our two primetime games. Cons: The defense has gotten worse. We went from top 4 to the 15-20. I don't see it turning around. He gets the flashy plays with sacks, but we aren't generating turnovers and gives up the big plays. We've gotten gashed by the Dolphins, Seahawks, and Pats (yes they gash everyone, but it's still our job) I assume he's asking for positions in the draft and FA. We've gone big on defense and left ourselves weak at WR and OT. So far, 0-2 when should have been 2-0 based off quality of opponent. We didn't show up for either game. While all of our games except the Pats was winnable into the 4th quarter, results matter and he's not getting us here. I think they will bring him back, but I can't give you a strong reason as to why they should. There is nothing besides Lynn and TT progressing to make me believe his team will get any better. And in his system, we will occasionally need to put up 35 points a game to win. If Lynn is the offense, and the D is erratic, what exacly is Lynn bringing to the table? I know it won't happen, but I really do believe that Schwartz and Lynn could have this team in the playoffs. Lastly, !@#$ Dareus
  12. Can we just make everyone put TT Supporter or TT Basher in their signature and move on? No one is bending and believes they are right. These get ugly quick.
  13. And Goodwin. Can't say enough how well he is coming along
  14. 9-7 isn't getting into the playoffs this year. Sorry
  15. Last 4 plays when 1st and goal. 1 - run play 2 - sack 3 - sack 4 - incomplete. It's hard to not challenge the protection and play calling. I still think an elite QB gets it done.
  16. If everyone believed it was dead, why did Carp still kick it? The logic has to go both ways
  17. Watch it again. He's going for the ball. Carpenter kicks into him.
  18. Knowing you are going to win and hoping to win are VERY different things. It's like a free throw. Those who expect to do it don't need to think about it. Those who haven't done it a lot may know all the motions to go through, but it's not the same to execute. I can tell you how to be a scratch golfer. I can show you a perfect swing. But I'm still poor and a working class guy.
  19. Great players find a way. You can break down tape and look at each play all you want, but there is some truth to that. I genuinely believe that Brady or Rodgers wins that game. The good ones find a way, even amidst the officiating adversity. I see the logic in what the supporters are saying too. His blocking was terrible on the last drive so I don't blame him for leaving the pocket. The penalties knocked him out of a closer field and the draw plays were terrible, which took the ball out of his hand. I really liked how Tyrod played for most of the game. But there is something to the fact that he couldn't pull it out in the end. It's an 11 man offense yes, but you're lying if you don't know what I'm talking about.
  20. I don't think it should have been roughing after watching the replay. Sherman did play the ball. Carp hurt himself by kicking into Sherman. If you want to blame Sherman for following through with the play, then Carp is equally to blame for following through with the play as well. The real mess up was the delay of game and not resetting the play clock.
  21. Rex possibly at this point.
  22. I feel like I've seen illegal contact called many times on WR when the QB was outside the pocket, but what do I know?
