  1. Here's the link to the amazing Diggs route https://www.nfl.com/videos/stefon-diggs-best-plays-from-92-yard-game-week-13 You're absolutely right, it was Bates lined up beside Dawkins. I'm going to update it now. Thank you
  2. I honestly must have missed that. Link?
  3. Any Bills fan would be justified in their trepidation going into last night's game. This is a Prime Time, in front of a national audience, going up against a very good defense in the house of the hail-mary, as we reach the point in the season where playoff teams really start to separate. This is a place we've been before and not brought out best performance with both the Titans and Chiefs. What Bills team would come out of the tunnel? What statement would we make. Could we really be tied for 1st with the Dolphins after this game? Trust the process...... 1 - Process - Right before the half, Beasley caught a sideline throw where Poyer and the defense was watching his toes the entire time. This might be something simple to many, but it showed me how much this team supports each other. Many units spend their time on the bench talking to each other, reviewing footage, or talking strategy. Our defense took advantage of their seats to a great offensive show. After the game, Allen could barely get through his on-field interview because every player that walked past him made some form of comment. This is, by far, the most complete and supportive Bills team I've seen in 20 years. This goes beyond just offense and defense, this is everyone on the field looking out for and supporting each other. They were a wrecking ball in a game where previous teams would have faltered to the pressure or early turnover. To me, this is the process we keep hearing about. This process is team culture, fun, winning, and support. Great job McD. 2 - Allen - If Allen is going to be considered for the MVP, the 49ers game tape could very well be his promotion video. I've mentioned this before, but you can tell when Allen is "on" and he definitely was tonight. Allen was absolutely unstoppable this game and the post game quotes be the 49ers defenders confirmed they were helpless against him. His throws were on the money and almost all of his incompletions came on throw-aways. He had multiple throws on the run that were 10+ yards downfield and hit guys on the sideline where only they could catch them. All of his touchdown passes were on the money and even the grass wanted to part of the Allen experience, as he wore is all over his helmet. If you don't have time to watch the game, just watch the replay of his pass to Davis in the redzone, where he perfectly put the ball over the head of a linebacker and fit it between defenders, right onto Davis' numbers. The only thing to really say about Allen after this game is wow, just wow..... 3 - Daboll - The players have to execute, but the play calls need to be solid as well. The commentators talked about Daboll being in high demand for a head coaching job after this season, and I would have to agree with them. Against a solid 49ers defense, this offense was absolutely unstoppable. We didn't punt until the 4th quarter and there wasn't a drive where you didn't believe we couldn't score. The mixture of runs, underneath routes, and perfectly timed deep passes left the 49ers defense in shambles. Two of our touchdown passes were to wide open receivers. That's play calling and playing chess versus checkers. This is the type of offense that makes you worry about the opposing defense being able to keep up and should be interesting against the Steelers next week. 4 - All of a sudden up pulled a Cadillac and out stepped a can named Pete. A diamond on every finger, he wore he wore a tailor made suit, Black cigar, he wore a Stetson hat, He wore a pair on cowboy boots, Busted on through the door mad as he could be, Don't mess around, I'll cut you down 'cause my name is Big Boy Pete. 5 - Diggs - Route running is one of those traits that many fans gloss over. When you look at the box score, you see catches, yards and touchdowns. What you don't see, and was on full display in this game, was just how good of a route runner Diggs is. There was one play in particular that may have gone for 7 yards, but he absolutely broke the defenders ankles with his misdirection. Every play that went to Diggs, the defender was a step behind. While he didn't have a touchdown or go over 100 yards, he did break 1k yards for the season and appears to be on pace to break his individual season records. Just a great overall game for him and it should be interesting to see where his season pans out statistically. 6 - Beasley - The Bills slot receiver was someone I was concerned would get overlooked in this new offense with the addition of Diggs and Davis seeing the field so much. In the past, Beasley's been more of a security blanket and 3rd down target. In this game, the offense got it's start going through Beasley. You knew it was going to be a good offensive day on the seam pass for 30 yards on the first drive. Not only did Beasley go over 100 yards in the first half, he also played very fast. Like Diggs, Beasley was unstoppable on the field and had to make you feel a lot better about this offense in Smoke's absence. 7 - Blown Up - One complaint of the fans this season is the lack of disruptive defensive plays. Ask and you shall receive, as we saw by quite a few guys on defense. Both Johnson and Butler blew through multiple offensive line blocks to destroy the running back in the backfield. Tremaine and Hyde had amazing goal line tackles that stopped touchdowns on those drives. Tre snatched and interception on the goal line that was all muscle and field vision. This defense came to play and everyone seemed to have a moment. Well, maybe not Wallace.... 8 - Knox - With Kroft a healthy scratch, the team made another gesture of confidence to Knox holding down the position. This was the type of game that will keep that faith alive. Knox wasn't a game changer, but did his job consistently on the field. He made his blocks, he caught all the passes that came his way, and he did show off the athleticism that sets him apart from the other TE's on the touchdown dive. This is now two weeks in a row where he's improved on his reliability and hopefully his confidence is growing to where we can see the fully potential he flashed in his rookie season. 9 - Opportunities - A personal pet peeve of mine is when you read a game recap that's 100% positive. While this game was our best complete team effort of the season, I have to do my due diligence and call out some missed opportunities. Wallace was second on the team in tackles, but mainly because he gave up quite a few catches. I'm not going to blame him for the PI call, as that was bogus, but he still struggled the most of anyone on the defense. Edmunds gave up his zone on the first touchdown pass as he creeped up on the line too much. Our defense struggled against the up-tempo 49ers offense on a few drives, which is something that could really hurt us in big games going forward. The Moss fumble against our own end zone can't happen and really would have hurt other Bills teams. On the first 4th and goal, Bates didn't sell the block, which allowed the defender to cover him immediately off the line, which I believe was Josh's first read. Lastly, while this is an unfair ask, I believe Diggs would have scored a touchdown had McKenzie been able to hold his block against Sherman on the inside screen pass. 10 - Linebackers - You could argue this was the first game we had a fully healthy starting linebacker group, as Milano was 100% in practice, Klein seems to finally know his role with the team, and Edmunds isn't showing his hesitation on tackles. One thing I found interesting was a play where Klein seemed to be calling the play and putting Edmunds in position. I don't know if it was a one-off play, or if they've adjusted how the defensive play calling is being distributed, but it stood out in the moment. The 49ers rushing attack was sub-par and the all three players did a great job playing close to the line. This is a unit we need to perform well if this defense is going to continue it's upward trend. We are 9-3 (one bad pass away from 10-2) and on to another prime time game against the one loss Steelers in our home. If you had any questions about how we might show up, they should be gone now. This team should expect to win every game they play and they've earned that right. This is a golden time for Bills fans and I hope you are all enjoying every moment. Go Bills!
  4. Is this serious? We’ve never beaten Ben?
  5. The idea of being 10-2 sounds insane to me. To think we are a Hail Mary away from that says a lot about this team
  6. He missed 8 passes and got sacked. He’s trash
  7. I wonder how much say Josh has in the decision. They clearly have a strong relationship
  8. All of those things may be true, but he’s not a playmaker nor game changer. All of those comments would be fine if he weren’t a first round pick, that has certain expectations with it.
  9. I mean, it checks all the boxes of things I would love
  10. I always mean to try it, but never know when it's out or forget
  11. I hope Milano is 100% healthy. If not, we are a playoff team and need to be thinking down the road. I don't want him on the field unless he's ready. Same for John Brown
  12. I'm just going to say it. I've never had a McRib
  13. I’m with you. That was a 2018 Allen mistake. But, everyone has them. He’ll get over it
  14. Wait, it can be defended?
  15. We were up 24-6. I disagree, but that’s allowed here 😀
  16. I'm going to be really upfront and say that my brain capacity for this game and thoughts are not 100%. I pulled an all-nighter for work and slept about 3 hours before kickoff, didn't take notes, and then slept again right after. With that, I apologize for any blatant misses. 1 - Incomplete Games - If there's been one over-arching concern for most fans and the players this season, it's our inability to play 4 full quarters of NFL football. Typically, we fall asleep in the 3rd quarter, but maybe the bye week has us practice transitioning to the 4th. In an almost comically bad game of "Who wants to lose it more", the Bills coughed up multiple turnovers in the 4th quarter, with one being an inexcusable interception by Allen. Fortunately, the Chargers were up to the task and gave the ball right back a few times and going for the 1st when a FG was right there for the taking to make it a one score game. The refs even got in on the action with some really questionable calls. This was a game where you have to be thankful we were playing a Chargers team who is still figuring out how to win, or else this could have been another heart breaker. We are also really lucky we were up by 10 at the end, as defending the hail mary was something Frazier deemed irrelevant somehow after last games loss. 2 - Rushing attack - I want to take a moment and assume full responsibility for the Motor's fumble. After having a couple of strong runs that broke the second level, I was in the process of thinking how great it is he doesn't seem to fumble anymore when....whammo. That aside, Motor got stronger as the game went on and had one of his better games this season. But while Motor had the most good runs, Moss had the run of the season in this game. Moss split the left side of the line, got lost in the trenches, and then somehow emerged with a solid burst. From there, he put the jets and the moves on for a really great rush. If we can figure out how to maintain the 4th quarter rushing game, then we will be in much better shape closing out this season. 3 - Bosa - It was hard to watch this kid destroy his blocks and not wonder "what if" he were on the Bills. His disruptive play was almost unfair to our unsuspecting innocent line and he was a terror on Josh too. We can talk about win rates all we want, but Bosa was the kind of difference everyone wants on their team, and it was obvious all game. For the offensive line, who had a rough day at times, you just have to tip your cap to the defensive line effort and move on. 4 - You keep me up just one more night, I can't sleep here no more. Little Ben clock says quarter to eight; You kept me up 'till four. I gotta get down, I gotta get down, Or I can't work there no more. 5 - Tre - While I understand that mixing up zone and man defense, and disguising your looks is important, I will always struggle not having Tre shadow the opposing team's #1 receiver. I thought Tre did a great job when covering Keenan and he only saw success once we transitioned to zone. Keenan made a few catches, but Tre didn't make them easy. Of course, the play of the game, which brought the 4th quarter back in order, was the Tre pick. Interceptions feel a little too rare on this team, and sometimes you need your money guys to make plays, so it was nice to see Tre get that done today. Solid overall game 6 - Receivers - I'm curious to know if the game plan was setup this way, or if the Chargers just took them away from us, but our receivers were never really involved in the game during the first half. Granted, if you want to count the PI as a passing gain, there was those yards, but there was little else. Daboll clearly made Diggs a focus coming out of the half, but with Beasley also quiet, Davis ended up being the best receiver on the field. He did a great job selling the block on the Beasley TD and made a great high-point catch on the deep ball from Josh. But overall, really pedestrian day for the receivers and passing game today. 7 - Klein - It looks as though Frazier finally figured out how to use Klein, and his skill set is showing because of it. Klein looks so much faster on the field and had a great open field pursuit and tackle on a toss play. He was solid when rushing the QB and again, just looks a lot more comfortable out there. When Milano comes back, I like the idea of a LB rotation that puts him on the field in situations that take advantage of his abilities. I'm still not sold on him in coverage, but I think that's why he struggled to start the season. Either way, in this new high-pressure defense we are running, Klein is earning that paycheck. 8 - Oliver - This might be the first week I've called Oliver out in a positive light. I would have to see the PF replay again, but I didn't see what the flag was for on first glance. Oliver was a true disruptor today and was shedding blocks consistently. He made Herbert have to re-adjust his feed quite a few times and contributed to some negative plays. I don't know the Chargers track record for their offensive line, but Oliver coming on strong down the stretch would also be a big win for us. 9 - McD - Our coach is now 4-0 when coming off the bye, and you could see the team was ready from the start. The way this team's scheme has evolved throughout the season on offense and defense continues to impress me and I think McD's flexibility and giving autonomy to his coaches really goes a long way. We've won 8 games in a variety of different ways and this one was no different. Statistics on offense weren't great, but we still put up 27 points and our defense did well enough to never make the game feel uncomfortable, and more-so responded when the offense tried to give it away. I'm very curious about a non-challenge though. Mike William caught a 4th down pass on the sideline and appeared to come down on the ball. I didn't see if the ball moved, as the camera replay was blocked by players, but I was really surprised that didn't get more attention. Anyone else have thoughts on that? 10 - Beane - Follow me down this rabbit hole please :-). They were showing highlights of Allen vs Hubert in college, where Oregon just destroyed Wyoming. Then they were showing completion percentage stats and talking about Allen's development. Long story short, I don't know of many other GM's and Coaching Staff who've taken a project like Allen who has very little college success and accuracy issues, found the raw talent AND were able to develop it, into the evolving product we have on the field today wearing 17. It really is an impressive story that rarely works out. I look at the Bears, who went through so many high pick QB's and still can't figure it out, or think about our last 20 years, and I'm really thankful and appreciative for how all of this played out. Now if only Allen would stop throwing balls off his back foot into double coverage...I kid....a little... Again, sorry for the quality of this one as I'm still not fully awake. Thank you all for reading and I will see you next week at some time and some place against the Niners. 8-3!!!! Go Bills!!!!!
  17. Add a week to the end of the season or make the decision to cut it short. Either way, this has been escalating and they seem to have this “push through it” approach. It does feel different depending on the team though.
  18. This is the dumbest thing I’ve seen. The Ravens have an outbreak, I get it. What about the Pats and Titans? Honestly, at this point and how things are going, I’d cancel this week and next, and just push the season back. Let people get it together.
  19. Where’s the pink ***** on the field and the “Tom Brady sits when he pees” photos? Those get me every time
  20. When they won’t show the replay, you know it’s bad. Hopefully it’s not as serious as indicated. Was having a good rookie season and I liked where he was heading. https://www.rotoworld.com/football/nfl/player/57910/joe-burrow For those worried about the Dolphins, they play the Bengals in two weeks
  21. I'll have the Ravens/Titans game in the background while doing stuff around the house. I'll pay attention to the Broncos/Dolphins game, just to see our upcoming opponents as well as check the Tua hype. Hill at QB for the Saints should be interesting
  22. I can’t believe we gave up that 4th in the trade for Diggs. What a waste
  23. I think you’re forgetting something 😥
  24. There’s not a single team in this league we aren’t capable of beating. We have the talent and coaching to do so
