They met with all the Round 2/3 Mlbs as well. I think the Edmunds replacement us happening, whether he’s traded or not

Devonte Wyatt DT- Could this be our #1 Pick?
Virgil replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
No -
Let me clarify.... If Josh was feeling tense before a game, I'd probably do what needed to be done to make sure he walked out that tunnel as calm and relaxed as possible

All Gunner's Draft Stuff.... 2022 Edition!!!
Virgil replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
If I can make one recommendation for us dumb dumbs. Maybe separate the MLB from the OLB, with the OLB's being actual linebackers and not EDGE guys. With our loss of Klein, I think OLB could very well be on the table for us at some point, any many are clamoring for the Edmunds replacement. Those players are pretty different at LB -
TSW Mock Draft 2.0 Poll - Who should the Bills take at #57
Virgil replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would argue the Bengals have the best WR tandem in the league. Broncos are decent, but not scary to me. Even still, I'm not going to adjust my offseason plans for 1 team, knowing Tre will be back when it matters. Here's the other thought. I love McD, but he is stubborn as they are. Even if we got a Sauce, McD isn't going to switch to man and let Tre and him lock down those receivers in the playoffs. We run what we run, which typically allows our DB's to overachieve. For clarity, because people don't read, I'm still an advocate of a DB in the first two rounds -
TSW Mock Draft 2.0 Poll - Who should the Bills take at #57
Virgil replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I felt the same way, but then I realized the Dolphins are the only tram loaded at WR and they still have Tua. There’s still very few teams that have more than 2 high quality receivers in our conference. Doesn’t change that we need a DB, but it’s not the death sentence I thought it was -
I'm tempted to keep the Bills and trade up for a QB. Just to watch the world burn.....

That’s a wrap everyone! Seriously, amazing job completing two rounds with trades in less than a week. That’s got to be a record for us. I am going to do a 3.0 with the signup starting on Sunday, Draft starting on Monday. It will be one round only with trades. Please be on the lookup for the signup sheet. Also, I plan to select someone to pick as the Bills…..

The more I think about it, the more I believe it will be DB in the 1st, possibly being trade up if there's a run. The hole at DB with Tre out is just too big and this is our Super Bowl window. I know that we've made something out of nothing with DB's, but it's a passing league and we can't hope a later round guy pans out. We need someone proven

Looks like I answered my own question. Take this article for what it's worth. It says the Jets wanted Mayfield and then Darnold, but fully expected to get Mayfield. Says the Bills wanted nothing to do with Rosen, but doesn't say if Allen was their #1. Now, there's been leaks of the Bills draft board that indicates Allen was their top choice all along https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/sam-darnold-nfl-draft-2018-jets-josh-allen-lamar-jackson/ky6wa5313a0t19k9o8i02wt4j

Seeing that list of QB's starting since JK was painful. It's amazing how it's all turned around now I think we really owe the Browns a big thank you. The Jets were locked in on Darnold, but Mayfield was a surprise going #1. Had the Browns gone anyone besides Mayfield, who knows how it would have played out. I'd be very curious to know what the Jets draft board looked like

TSW Mock Draft 2.0 Poll - Who should the Bills take at #57
Virgil replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Poyer is so tough for me. He makes great tackles and can play in the box. And yes, he was voted an All-Pro. But when you are good in coverage, people don't throw your way so it's easy to not show up on the stat sheet. It's tough to know what would change if Poyer were replaced. Like you said though, the business savings of 10 mil and his age is tough to ignore -

TSW Mock Draft 2.0 Poll - Who should the Bills take at #57
Virgil replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
We’ve already established that Walker is the pick in the prior mock. Granted, people might still pick Hall over him, but I don’t want this to come down to which RB is better. If it were my choice, and I get the irony in that, I would have left both RB’s out -

I should have used the Cardinals pick to take Hall. I just don't want a RB here. -

TSW Mock Draft 2.0 Poll - Who should the Bills take at #57
Virgil posted a topic in The Stadium Wall
Please vote on who you would like to see the Bills take at #57. These are the players available based upon our TSW Mock Draft 2.0. The poll will remain open until we have 100 votes or a clear winner ***RB Kenneth Walker is available, but not listed in the poll as he was the winner of the Draft 1.0 -
With the 55th pick, the Arizona Cardinals select Perrion Winfrey, DT, Oklahoma. Defensive Tackle was our round 1 goal, but the value wasn't there. With Watt's injury history, we need better support on the line and Winfrey can provide that. The Cowboys @Just Joshin'are on the clock

@Bill from NYCWhat's the deal with Christian Harris? Would he be a day 1 starter?
-
At this point, I hope someone takes Hall because we already had a RB drafted in round 2 in the last draft. I won't list Walker again regardless, which makes me think everyone will go Hall
