Maybe blindly, but I trust Beane. I agree with your recap except for the concerns about the run on receivers. My opinion is, if Beane thought any of them were worth getting, he would have made the move to get them. The only thing that surprised me was the lack of TE and MLB drafting. I only say this because they met with a ton of them before the draft. The Edmunds plan remains and enigma to me.

Jets and Deebo trade is still possible. Jets are apparently waiting to see who falls to them at 10 before making a decision. QB's being crap or not, having Tyreek and Deebo would be a lot to ask of Dane while Tre is out

I'm kind of curious about this decision. I'm not a Danny Dimes fan, but 22 mil for the 5th year option isn't a lot for a QB I know the Giants are in cap hell, so maybe it's moreso that. Overall, I would just think they would want more than one year to evaluate him in the new system. If he has even a moderately good season, might he not cost more than 22?
