  1. Harty and Sherfield certainly don't seem to be great pieces either. In short, the Bills WR core is not dynamic, explosive, or elite. Pretty disappointing thus far. I'd be surprised if Davis reaches those numbers. We will see I've seen enough to move on from Davis. The Bills need an upgrade for sure. The only way is advocate for keep Davis is on the cheap due WR3 pay. That's what he is.
  2. Jordan Love is nothing special in my eyes.
  3. Hope you had him in the 1.5x spot.
  4. The more I see the Lions the more I like Ben Johnson. His play calling is really good. Mixes in the run and pass well. Does a good job on play action too. He makes Geoff look good. Then I come back to reality and examine Dorsey. Oh boy...
  5. I think that's unlikely because Tua gets rid of the ball so quickly. 80% of Tua's throws are to his first read. That's crazy high and shows the Miami schemes are working. The Bills defense needs to try to confuse Tua and take away his first read. That's when he will make mistakes, Bills players can deflect ball, and create turnovers. Easier said than done. One thing perhaps getting overlooked is the running game for both teams. Mosert and Achane can take it to the house at any moment. The Bills already gave up a huge run this year. Brian Robinson was running well until they got too far behind. Cook should be able to find holes in that Miami defense. The Oline should be able to create some holes. I feel Cook is really close to breaking a big one. The run game will only make each passing game that much more effective. Question: Which Bills offensive players step up besides Diggs?
  6. I'll start out the thread. Big early game vs a division rival who are undefeated. The Bills loss to the Jets could come back to haunt the them. Now on to the game. Miami is probably the best offense in the league right now. They are running on a different level. Their overall speed is unmatched. McDaniels knows how to exploit defenses. All it takes is seconds and a missed tackle. With that said, I don't think this Bills defense can contain and stop the Miami offensive juggernauts. Hill is a know Bill killer. Mosert gashed the Bills last year and now add in a track like RB named Anchane. Waddle is back as well. Too many weapons for the Bills defense to defend. Too much speed for the Bills to overcome. The dolphins will score at least 30 points here. On to the Bills offense. The Dolphins defense is improved under Fangio. Nevertheless, the Bills should be able to move the ball on Miami. A key will be how effective are they in the red zone. Allen needs to be elite. No big mistakes. I think this is a game where the Bills can throw deep and make longer passes and chunk plays. Diggs will have a big game as well as Cook. Allen has been successful playing Fangio defenses. I believe in the Bills offense. Dorsey must be creative. I have this game as a coin flip. Bills 34. Miami 31
  7. Thanks. Do you think that's good strategy for the Bills? Bend but don't break. Then get tough inside the red zone.
  8. I didn't watch their game vs NE. I see they scored 24 points. Anyone know what BB did to slow them down?
  9. I think what's not being talked about enough is the Miami schemes and motion. They are very creative and create mismatches and perhaps confusion. Couple that with their speed, a competent run game, and Tua's ability to throw quickly. That's a tough problem for any defense. I'm no defensive coordinator but last year I saw the Charger D dominant the Miami O. Their DBs were very physical at the line of scrimmage. Bumped the Miami WRs continuously. I don't think the Bills have the personell to do this effectively. Secondly, I think you have to clog the middle of the field. Make Tua beat you outside the numbers. Easier said then done with the best 1-2 WR in the league. Thirdly, the Bills have to tackle. Miami lives off of the YAC. A missed tackle can lead to a TD. The Miami explosiveness at the skill positions is off the charts. I'm really looking forward to this game. It has so many interesting facts. What kind of Allen do the Bills get? Can the Bills D rattle Tua and create some turnovers? Cook vs Mosert usage and productivity could be crucial to each offense. Fangio defense? McD vs McDaniels? Great early test for both teams.
  10. He a top 3 WR in the NFL if you are talking football only.
  11. I don't think "pressure" will play a significant role in the game. Unless you mean QB pressure? It's a long season and both teams would very much like to win. Standings wise it probably bigger for the Bills to win. However, it only week four and lots of games to play. You don't win a division after four games. You don't go to the playoffs after four games. The Bills being 2-2 isn't disastrous. 0-2 in the division isn't great and a thought schedule going forward makes it tougher. That's fair.
  12. It's post like this that have me shaking my head. Have the Bills faced an offense like the Dolphins? Have they faced a WR tandem of Hill and Waddle? A quick passer like Tua? It cuts both ways to be fair. Let's slow down and see how this game plays out.
  13. I like Gabe being a hard worker. He's had a few big games. It's clear he's not a very good WR2. His rookie contract ends and I'll be happy when he moves on. He's not worth WR2 money Too early to talk about next year. The Bills are going to need some better WRs for sure.
  14. True but Allen was his best under Daboll. That has to count for something.
  15. Also, I think most are concerned long term or for the season with regards to Brown. Not just one game the Bills winnin Wash. Weaknesses have a way of being exposed. It's pretty clear Brown isn't a strength of the Oline. Almost seems like it's a matter of time before he severely hampers the Bills chances to win. I going to perhaps throw out a different way to look at the situation. The Bills coaches know Brown is subpar. They came up with various schemes to help him out. Thus far, it's been really effective. I think you have to give the Bills coaches credit here. Sure it creates some issues in the pass game as noted. However, Allen has had some decent time to throw the ball. That's paramount and priority number one. Going into the season with Brown as your starting tackle is a whole nother animal to discuss.
  16. Great use of stats and analysis. It feel like it's difficult to win playing offense this way. The Bills seemingly struggle to move the ball in chunks. They seem to be a short passing team with a good running game. Just seems like old school football rather than modern day football. Can they sustain winning like this? Is this the new offensive of the Bills? I want to see an explosive offense that can score quickly or on one play. I'm just not seeing that after a short 3 game sample. This offense seems nothing like the offense of a couple of years ago.
  17. I agree. That was my fear with drafting Kincaid. Not really the player more Dorsey and his play calling. To be fair, opposing defenses have a lot to do with that too. They seem to be taking away the longer passes. Personally, I would like to see the Bills offense being more explosive. Seems like they have to work too much to score.
  18. After three games Kincaid has played well but he hasn't been a difference maker. He's mostly an afterthought in the offense. The Bills schemes for him are dink and dunk passes. Not his fault at all. I had envisioned longer and deeper passes. Similar to routes like Gronk or Kelce. He's nowhere near being a bonafide WR2. I hope he can get more involved and has a bigger impact as time goes by. He seems to have the talent.
  19. I think this is the key to the game. Robinson was running well against Buffalo. I think the Bills offense will play well vs the Miami defense. Their defense is nothing special and beatable. Allen just needs to stay patient and I think his legs will show up big time in this game.
  20. You make some good points but the Bills can definitely win this game. In fact, I'd argue they should win the game. The Bills are at home, have Allen, and the D is looking very good. There's a lot to like about Buffalo here Conversely, Miami can win the game too. Their offense is rolling like a well oiled machine. 70 points is 70 points. Don't discredit that. They are much more balanced and can beat you in so many ways. I can see them running the ball well early; which will set up the big pass plays. Their speed is scary good. Both teams know each other well. All three games last year were very close. I suspect another close game here. A win by Miami certainly may indicate a charging of the guard.
  21. You have to take the blueprint from the Chargers game last year. Their defensive backs were very physical and bumped and pressed the Miami's WRs all game long. It completely disrupted the timing of their passing game. That's not really the Bills strength. Elam is probably the only guy who can be effective here. Hard to predict how he will play if active because he hasn't played.
  22. I agree but I think Allen was in control, not reckless, and didn't really make inexcusable decisions. Allen is most likely going to throw a few risky throws in every game. It's about timing, the nature of the game, positioning, etc...Risk vs reward sort of speak. I thought Allen the last two games has been very good at playing smart while trying to extend plays and make big plays. I think the Bills need a very good version of Allen vs Miami.
  23. No but their offense is legit. It's by far the biggest test to date for the Bills. After 3 games they faced Wilson, Jimmy G, and Howell. Not exactly quality QBs. Tua in that Miami system is excellent maybe even elite. Hill, Waddle, and Mosert have the ability to take it to the house on any one play. Their weapons are by far better than Buffalo's. I think McD will have a nice game plan vs Miami. The Bills must be efficient with their tackling. I think the Bills offense can score lots of points on Miami's defense. This has shootout written all over it. Allen will have his cap on this game. Not ready to predict a winner or score.
