  1. Not saying you are incorrect but the Bills do need to get done better production from the WRs besides Diggs. We all know what Davis is. The WRs they have added just really aren't producing. Whether it's talent or coaching something has to change. (Probably both)
  2. I here you Scott. I just don't think you can put your eggs in the defensive basket right now. With all the key injuries it's going to be extremely difficult to contain playoff team offenses. Heck it's hard enough when healthy. With that premise, I'd rather allocate any significant moves towards some offensive weapons. Get Josh more weapons to win playoff games vs good defenses.
  3. I like Sutton better than Judy. I'd do that in a New York minute. That's it in a nutshell. Need an upgrade for sure.
  4. Has he run a route past 10 yards? Took the words right out of my mouth.
  5. Nice response!
  6. Great post. Every year most fans pump up our expectations of the team. Generally, pump up the draft choices and acquisitions. Pump up how the current guys on the roster will step up. Thus far, Bernard is the star of the show. To a lesser extent Torrence. Everyone else not so much . Been very disappointing on the offensive side of the ball. Cook is not an every down back. He's ok but nothing special. Kincaid not being used properly. Harty, Sherwood, and Shakir are after thoughts. Coaching and schemes are suspect. I'm sorry I don't see a SB team here. Its a very good team and if all the stats align it's possible. I hold onto that fantasy. The dream lives on only to be disturbed when I wake up. Reality check sometimes isn't welcomed. Truthfully, I wish the Bills would tear it down and bring in a whole new regime. New GM, new coaches, new players, new systems. I know that probably irrational but the status quo isn't getting it done. More wasted opportunities are on the horizon.
  7. I have so much to say about this post. It definitely sparked my attention. Not a bad thing. First off, the criticism of the Bills performance is warranted. Clearly, that is something that doesn't sit well with you. More specifically, lots of teams have very good to elite pass rushers. Using a TE to chip every game is probably more the norm I suppose because do you think Brown will hold up? Did Beane sell the fan base this kind of 12 personnel? Is it what you envisioned? Come on now let's be honest here. Might as well have Edwards lined up all the time as the 2nd TE. He's the best blocker to aid Brown. Maybe the Bills should have upgraded that position like 2 years ago... The Bills do need a solid reliable slot guy! Don't you agree? If not, who is that guy on the team? I can't find him. The offense besides Diggs isn't reliable. The drops and lack of others stepping up in the Jags game amplified that. Even a good Allen couldn't produce a win. Allen wasn't the problem vs the Jags. He missed some opportunities that I wish he would have made. Allen in all he was good but not good enough. I wish he would have took more control of the game with his legs. There were a few chances where he could have produced. I may be guilty of being too critical and expecting too much from Josh. Allen the criticisms you discussed are valid and should be discussed here. Funny how you say it's funny. Almost like fans shouldn't be talking about them. Almost like it's not valid. Hummmm The Bills were never ever close to winning that Jags game comfortable. They were never a play or two from blowing the game open. That's the most absurd thing I've read here in a long long time. Seriously, what game were you watching? Talk about being bias. On to the Giants a get right game hopefully.
  8. He doesn't fit the Bills culture. I doubt he's an option.
  9. Adams and Kupp are unattainable. I don't see his the Bills can get them under their current cap situation.
  10. It's not like the Bills opponents have been juggernauts. Jets D is the only good D they have faced. Jags are middling, Wash appears bad, Raiders stink, and Miami's isn't good with no Ramsey and Philips. At some point, if the have to constantly protect Brown with a TE then the 12 personnel really isn't all that dynamic from a passing point of view. It really doesn't stress a defense like it's supposed to.
  11. When I saw it live I was surprised Diggs didn't come up with the ball.
  12. I'm in San Diego and likely going to the game. Just waiting to see if my brother is going to join me. I can tell you tickets for nosebleeds are $150 plus. A decent seat is about $300. There aren't a lot of tickets on the usually sites. A few weeks ago you could have bought a way better seat for like $100 to $150. I'm not really knowledgeable about the fluctuation of ticket prices. Dec 23 is still a ways away. The game could be very significant or vice versa. I'd hate to spend money and the Bills are sitting Allen. Off topic, about 2 weeks ago I bought two tickets for the Lions vs Chargers for $126 out the door. Not great seats but it will do. Near the corner upper deck 2nd row. Looking forward to the game.
  13. That's 12 personnel? Did the Bills really trade up to use their 1st round pick on Kincaid as a blocker? Or to throw him 5 yard dump offs? Are they paying Knox big money to be a primary blocker? Or to throw him 5 yard dump offs? I mean they had a whole off season, training camp, and a pre season to get it right. This 12 personnel set by the Bills isn't anything like I envisioned. Am I missing something? What went wrong or right?
  14. The offense is good mostly because of Allen's greatness. His ability to make all the throws, scramble, and extend plays. The Bills offensive scheme is very vanilla, lacks creativity, motion, is rarely team specific, one play hardly ever sets up another play, and lacks proper gametime adjustments. I feel like the Bills O just sticks with the general offensive plan. Kind of like this is what we do go ahead and try to stop it. They believe they can out execute the other teams D. This works super well against lesser opponents and even good opponents. Number 17 and 14 can carry a team often. I'm a bit disappointed with the outlook of the offense. I know numbers say otherwise. The Miami game was fantastic and can't be discounted. Dorsey was great too! I fear that might be more of an anomaly. I know others will chime in and give great input as to why my viewpoint is likely inaccurate. Please do because I want to be wrong. More specifically, I feel like the offense isn't explosive and lacks weapons. There's Diggs and really no one else. The 12 personnel is a joke. The use of Knox and Kincaid for 5 yard passes is anything but brilliant. Davis is scoring TDs and is decent. The drops are what they are. An upgrade is really needed but he's cheap and serviceable. The chemistry with Allen is indisputable. The rest of the WR core is subpar. Still no slot receiver. Still no screen passes. Another huge concern is the Bills WRs cannot create separation. This is why they are at the bottom of the league for YAC. Without YAC, the offense has to work way way way too hard to score. Allen is less of a weapon this year because he's not running much. After 5 games his legs have been under utilized. Maybe that's a good thing long term but it certainly makes the Bills O less dynamic. I get it's a balancing act between protecting Allen and winning games. The Jags game sure looked like Allen had a few lanes to get some good yardage. When Allen runs it sure seems to spark the offense. They needed a spark in Sunday. I was very impressed with the oline until the Jags game. Hopefully, that was just a London travel thing. As we know a good oline makes an offense much much more dangerous. Sorry for the rant.
  15. I agree. It seems like the Bills offense has to work hard for everything. One penalty, loss of yardage play, and or a drop seems to be hard to overcome. The offensive stats probably don't validate this but that's how I feel. Sure seems like the players have to over execute to make their plays and offensive system work. Nothing seems to come easy. I really think the offensive besides Diggs lacks reliability and explosiveness. Maybe I'm wrong. Hope I'm wrong because it sure seems like the offense has to pick things up for the injury riddled D.
  16. Judy would be an upgrade. Not sure the cost.
  17. I disagree with the last line of your post. Being down one score was the direct result of doing what you were doing. As a Bills fan, I think the Bills should have been up by a double digit figure. Change was needed badly and much more quickly. I have confidence that Allen is versatile enough to led his team back off scripted. Coaching doesn't usually put the offense in the best position to win. Look at Miami, Detroit, San Fran, KC, and Cincinnati. They give their QBs and offenses optimum chances to excell. Buffalo is more in line with the likes of San Diego or the Raiders.
  18. I agree. I think it's about timing. Some situations call for some firey vocal discussions. When you punt, punt, punt, punt, punt, and punt on 7 offensive possessions I think that's a reasonable time to light a fire under some players as$es. McD was too busy with running the decimated defense. Plus, he's more of a clapper than a get in your face challenge you. I just believe a change in attitude was badly needed. A little challenge and confrontation by the team's leader would have been a welcome site. Instead we saw a fiery frustrated Diggs expressing his displeasure to the team's leader. The leader looked uninterested and perhaps tired of Diggs antics. I'll never question Diggs desire to win.
  19. Can you say something of substance instead of spreading ridiculous accusations?
  20. I'm not saying the defense was good because it wasn't. However, the effort was there and McD did try different things. That was my main point.
  21. I saw no spark or fire under Allen's as$ until there was five minutes to go in the game. Probably because of jet leg due to pis$ poor scheduling. Whatever the reason the offense was as flat as a pancake. Stayed flat for way way way too long!!! Dorsey made what adjustments? More off tackle runs with Cook? How many of us thought ok we get the ball after halftime and the Bills are going to score. Win the game with some nice offensive plays. Nope nope and nope. It was more shi!!y plays and more sleep walking. Offense had nothing and it showed. Dorsey was incapable of adjusting to their defensive scheme, Josh played way too conservative, and the oline was asleep at the wheel except when holding. They certainly didn't open up any holes. That's the game I saw. Not sure what game you saw? At least the seriously depleted and undermanned defense played with heart. They gave it their all. I saw effort, passion. McD mixed up the defensive calls and dialed up timely blitzes. The Bills defensive went out with a bang. Hung in there despite the lack of talent due to key injuries. Made some big plays to give the offense a chance. I really can't say a lot of bad about their effort under the circumstances. Really a complete opposite of the Bills offense. You can point to travel, unfair advantage, poor ref calls, injuries, etc... Certainly all of this has its place and validity. As a fan, I cannot accept when a team is flat, has no energy, gets out worked, gets pushed around, out coached, out planned, and doesn't make adjustments. You don't continue doing the same or similar things after consistent failure. That's exactly what the Bills offense did until halfway through the 4th quarter. Wouldn't you agree? A loss is one thing if a team just out executes you and plays beyond their usual level of play. Any given day sort of speak. That wasn't the case vs the Jags. They were ready to play and the Bills weren't. The Jags coaches executed a solid game plan and the Bills coaches didn't. The Jags coaches made adjustments and the Bills cosches ( Dorsey) didn't. The Jags players executed plays more than the Bills' players. Frankly, it was a poor effort on the whole Bills' organization. Sure felt like old regimes and coaches of the miserable past I was watching. Anyone else have a little flashback? However, this game was bigger than a loss on the win loss column. The Milano and Jones injury with Tre are borderline devastating and game changing. To think otherwise is drinking the cool aid. Of course, we fans will mostly be optimistic and hope for the best. I certainly will hope for the best but my optimism isn't high. This Bills team cannot escape serious injuries to elite and key players. This team has repeatedly failed to get over the hope. The team is just good enough to give us hope. A hope most gravitate towards years after year. Only to fall short year after year. Sadly, I see the cycle continuing.
  22. Head scratcher for sure. He's been washed for years.
  23. Exactly! The Chiefs know how to win. Is that your point?
