  1. Way too early to start projecting.
  2. He looked pretty good last year in a huge playoff game in Buffalo. Remember that one?
  3. Took his team to the SB and he led his team to a playoff victory in Arrowhead. Let that sink in!
  4. Burrow is really good in crunch time. He's a winner and has that elite it factor. I have him rated as the 2nd best QB in the league. Physically he's not as gifted as many QBs but don't like that fool you.
  5. Plus their offensive west coast system is very good. Burrow is able to make the correct reads and get the ball out quick. Negates lots of defenses effective pass rushing. They have very good offensive weapons and their oline is likely improved. DC Lou A is a terrific play caller.
  6. Steroids can make you heal faster.
  7. I agree. They have a much better roster then the Bills. It's no coincidence they manhandled the Bills last year.
  8. He couldn't move at all. I disagree.
  9. I fully expect a Bills double digit win tonight.
  10. Well based on your premise then the Bills are fuc$ed because they will be seeing Mahomes and Burrow for a likely years to come. Add in a healthy Tua, improved Lawrence, Herbert, and Lamar. The Bills may be in trouble Gunner, you can spin it or see it as you wish. We've been here many times. The bottom line is the Bills under the McD regime are 4-5 in the playoffs. That just doesn't cut it in my book when you have Allen as your QB. Add in the numerous times the team blew and I mean blew golden opportunities to win big playoff games. You know them better than I. It's becoming a common theme come playoff time the Bills fall short. Add in an defensive guru coached defense continues to come up short in big playoff games. You can't put all the blame on Fraizer when McD the head coach rode his back year after year. At some point the head coach must be held accountable. Sadly, this year he already has a built in excuse due to injuries. Groundhog Day again. Nobody knows the future and if McD can lead this team to a SB appearance. It's certainly possible. I'm not naive to think otherwise. However, I've seen year after year of McD falling short. More specifically, I saw him completely give KC a playoff victory. I saw his team unprepared and out coached vs Cincinnati. Facts are facts and excuses are excuses. They certainly get intertwined. I'm not sure why Bills fans have faith McD is the guy who can lead this team to a SB? Evidence is overwhelming that he is not. Here we go with the Andy Reid analogy. Excuse after excuse continue to roll off so many fans tongues. The high character, Christian, hard working, and blue collar image of the coach seems obscure people's vision. Let's cut the cord and move in a different direction. The team needs change, needs offensive creativity, needs a spark, needs ingenuity. The clapping, good guy image, and SB champs in September have run it's course. The Bills are a 3-2 team as we sit five weeks into the season. They are in second place in division. Who expected this? They certainly don't look invincible or world beaters. The literally have beat one playoff caliber team. I just don't see a realistic path where this team represents the AFC. I know this will be meant with great resistance and perhaps anger. I get that. My intention is not to troll or be the center of attention. The sole purpose is to give my opinion and hopefully open up some eyes to the various changes that could improve the team.
  11. Initially yes. Then is was all about stopping the pass because the Bills were up so up. They Oats were forced to pass. Frankly, they sucked at it and McD no longer had to worry about their running game. That just bolsters my theme. McD and frankly many other coaches have difficulty when offenses have dual threats. That lack of duel threat has hurt the Bills in the past. Meaning they couldn't establish an effective running game to keep teams honest. I can play the numbers game too. McD is 4-5 in the playoffs with an elite Allen for at least 3 years. Not a whole of playoff success under him. Let's get down to the gritty.
  12. I gave McD a lot of flowers for the Miami win. Ditto to Dorsey too. I will give positives when someone does their job well. I'm basically saying I have serious doubts about if McD is the coach to lead this team to a SB. I know many disagree and I'm fine with that. The Peyton to Buffalo point is mute. You seem to be ramming the Peyton point down my throat. Truthfully, I'd have more faith that Peyton could lead the Bills to a SB over McD. The Denver ordeal is really a ridiculous point. Peyton has one ring under his belt and he's an offensive minded coach. I would prefer him calling plays over Dorsey. Him working with Allen. Who knows what the results would be? I would prefer Ben Johnson as well.
  13. I hear you but you are really missing the point I'm trying to make. McD has been very good at game planning when a QB is limited such as Lamar and Jones were. Both were very sub par passers when we played them. He basically game planned to stop the run. He was excellent with him s game plan against both of those teams. However, he has had no answer containing KC in the playoffs and we saw what Cinci did. I just have a difficult time believing his defense that's now depleted of key stars is going to be good enough vs either of those teams. I'd very much like to be wrong here.
  14. Fatally flawed is a bit extreme. However, losing three stars on your defense is more than concerning. The defense clearly won't be as effective. I think that's a given. I almost feel like it's too big to overcome when the playoffs arrive. That's probably why some refer to it as a fatal flaw. Time will tell if the Bills can overcome such big losses. I get the hope for the best attitude. I agree but I'd add in the Bills organization contributed to Jags loss with terrible planning.
  15. When was the last time this Bills defense stepped up in the playoffs? Maybe NE with a poor Jones QB, Balt with a one dimensional Lamar at QB, or a third string Miami QB? The road to the SB likely goes through Cinci and or KC. Its hard to have confidence in the Bills D vs them. It's equally possible more Bills players get injured too. Just saying..
  16. I didn't say Peyton was the answer. I sure wouldn't have minded taking a shot with him. However, the cost was prohibitive. The idea of being on a creative offensive mind is really the point. A Ben Johnson or prototype is what I was and am advocating for. You can't compare the failed results of a bad Denver team with the likely results of very good Buffalo team. They just don't equate. Talk about taking what I'm saying out of context.
  17. Rinse and repeat. I was watching TV and one of the football analyst congratulated the Bills for being the September super bowl champs.
  18. You have Josh Allen as your QB. That alone almost puts your team in the playoffs. The risks of getting a new innovative offensive minded coach isn't as risky as a lot of people think. The status quo isn't getting it done. Wasting Allen's prime years here. I still think Peyton would be doing well as the Bills head coach. I think he would have the Bills win loss record of 3-2 or better? Denver is a bad football team unlike Buffalo. So your comparison really isn't valid. I mean right now the Bills are 3-2 and second in the division. I think that's not what fans expected.
  19. Ben Johnson the current OC from Detroit. I'd even consider Dion Sanders. Can you imagine the buzz? The guy is a winner.
  20. Comparing a regular season win to a playoff win or lose isn't on the same playing field. To answer your question, yes McD and Dorsey were excellent in game planning vs Miami this year. Funny how sentiment changes after the fact. Last year so many were thinking this was a SB team. The Bills reeled off several wins and had home field advantage vs Cincinnati. The vast majority here absolutely thought the Bills would beat Cinci On the KC on a neutral field. Most would gladly take that. The Bills have built themselves to beat KC. To say now that you or many Bills fans didn't think they were SB caliber is disingenuous. I'm not willing to give McD a free pass this year due to injuries. Sure it sucks but the Bills still have a damn good offense. An offense that can certainly thrive and carry the team to a SB appearance. That's where I have issues and complaints. I don't feel McD is the coach to led this offense. I don't feel Dorsey is the OC to utilize Allen and Co. Neither puts the players in the best position to succeed and win especially come playoff time. How many times do we need to see it? This is exactly why I disagree with Beane and McD are the right guys. They were brilliant in building a winner, sustaining a winning team, and modest success in the playoffs. The time has passed and the last several years have been fairly disappointing. Regular season victories are nice, playoff appearances are commendable, and the post season anticipation was fun fun fun. Sure it can be worse. The bar has moved in this fans eyes. Super Bowl or bust isn't really a fair measuring stick. It's an obvious goal and one that was absolutely attainable the last few years. Frankly, it's been early playoff exits under the current regime. That's just not cutting it anymore. Let's move on and get an innovative, creative, offensive mind in the building. It's crystal clear that's what the Bills need.
  21. Are the Jags an inferior team? If so by how much? Last year, they went as far as the Bills did in the playoffs. The Jags just beat the Bills and have the same record.
  22. McD has been very good to the organization. He will always be beloved for his success and turning around a failed organization. Bulls football sure has been fun to under his regime. Topple that with his high character and he's a winner in Bills' fans eyes. However, all good things come to an end. The team needs change. They need an innovative offensive mind. Several names come to mind. Take your pick. I just don't see much more McD can do to get this team over the hump. I'm sure many will disagree here. Besides with 17 on the team the Bills should always be in the mix for playoffs births. McD has failed repeated to get this team over the hump. How much longer can or should the fans be deprived? We all know that 13 seconds feeling. Folks that's McD and many of us can't forget it. I'd venture to say many players can't either. After the 13 second debacle, McD barely beat a Miami team playing a 3rdcstring QB and then promptly pooped the bed vs Cincinnati. Arguably, the biggest home playoff game in recent memory. His team wasn't ready to play. That's on McD!!! How many more opportunities does he get? What makes you think he can led the Bills to the SB? Win the SB? I see many reason why he hasn't.
  23. I'm not even thinking number one seed for Buffalo. There's a good chance they don't even win their division. I think they are a wild card team. Remember they still have KC, Philly, Cinci, LA Chargers, and Miami all away. Throw in the Cowboys too. Brutal schedule.
  24. The Chiefs indeed don't look dominant like the 49ers. However, the Chiefs know how to win come playoff time. Mahomes is almost unstoppable. Sure the Bills can beat them but I will remain skeptical until they do it.
  25. The Chiefs didn't look invincible last year either. Mahomes is a generational QB. Think Brady. Cinci has started out slow for several years now. Burrow was hurt and looks to be getting healthy. This team blasted the socks of the Bills last year. Miami is first in the AFC East and looking explosive with a healthy Tua. They will be even more dangerous with a healthy Philips and Armstend. One could easily think they are the team to beat in the East. Of course the Bills have a path with a healthy Allen. There is a lot to like about the team. However, after five games the path seems farther away as we sit. Losing Tre, Milano, and Jones is a huge blow. No other way to put it. The next man up mentality only goes so far. Offensively, is where the team's path to win is likely. Dorsey is hard to depend on. Still seems like he's unable to make game time adjustments. McD seems focused on the D and Dorsey is trusted to step up. He certainly did vs Miami. Lots of games to play. I'm still hoping for the best. Currently, I just have a difficult time thinking we can get past the Chiefs or Cincinnati. Other teams like the Jags and Miami are right there as well. Balt and LA are also in the mix.
