Well hang on just a second. Our WRs as a whole averaged a pitiful 141 yards per game last year vs a monstrous 145 this year. Turns out OP was right all along.

We need to stop the revisionist history with Daboll. As if there weren’t endless calls for him to be fired in 2021 when we lost 4 games (including 3 in 5 weeks) where the offense scored 15 points or less. There’s a reason he’s never coached an above average offense where he didn’t have both an elite QB and an elite WR1.

This is the third season since Josh broke out in 2020 that we’ve had a Jekyll and Hyde offense. 2021: Is it McDermott or Daboll? 2023: Is it McDermott or Dorsey? 2025: Is it McDermott or Brady? Please don’t trick yourself in thinking firing Brady but keeping McD will do anything.

We can’t forget the automatic extensions we’re gonna give Kincaid, Torrence, and Dorian this offseason.

This isn’t a defense of Beane as he has definitely been worse the last couple years, but this teams biggest issue is still inconsistency. Year over year we’ve seen they have the ability to go toe to toe with and beat the best teams in the league, but year over year we’ve seen them far too often show up unprepared and out played in games they should have no business losing. That’s a coaching issue which has been persistent for much longer than the roster building issues.

Not trying to say Aiyuk is totally justified but his situation isn’t similar at all to Coleman’s whatsoever. Had an all-pro season in 2023, tore up his knee in 2024, and then the 49ers were immediately shopping him on the trade market this past offseason. Pretty easy to see why he’d be pissed at them.

When I saw it the first time it was one of the first genuinely funny things I’ve seen from the left in a while, which means they’re gonna repeat it ad nauseam for the next 5 years.
