Belichick: September might be an extended preseason

So funny listening to these guys talk about the Pats and them finishing last in the AFCE this year. OL issues, coaching, MAC and Cheese problems with the play calling already. WOW how the once mIghty Patsy's have fallen. Love it.... How many tablets get destroyed this year. I would say 8!!! -

Yeah but will he " Kern" take the league Min $ to play. We have already lost cap money this week and are not even at our final 53 yet. -

All I know Beane better get a punter because if he is just waiting to have someone fall from the stars and be a average or good kicker is not going to happen. He is going to have to find someone sooner than later right after all the teams reach their final 53 man roster. -
2022 Tremaine Edmunds Prediction & Watch Thread
Toyo321 replied to elijah's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't have any clue what you are referring about, but where did I say this was Tremaine's fault. Where did I say he was responsible for the last 13 Seconds of that game or OT. I said "our #1 defense" . Where have I blamed him? All I have said is the guy is not a top tier Linebacker and he never will be, he will be gone after this year. Did you just read my post and have blonde moment. Ahhh, hello I never blamed Tremaine in any posting above. I just said the guy is terrible & AVERAGE!!! News Flash this just in, guess what the Bills are going to put Tre White on the PUP list. -
2022 Tremaine Edmunds Prediction & Watch Thread
Toyo321 replied to elijah's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is not asked to do anything different. All he and Milano do is play middle of the field, no different than any other NFL linebacker. That's their job . Fred Warner, Darius Leonard, Micah Parsons, Levonte David are the gold standard of what a linebacker is in the NFL today, and how the NFL games are trending. Pass coverage, tackling, taking down RB's. There is no comparing these guys to Tremaine, Tremaine is not even on the same page as these other LB's. Even C.J. Mosely and even Foyesade Oluokun are way better than Tremaine. All these teams play a different scheme D as compared to Buffalo. But a linebacker still needs to line up behind the D-line and have to react to the play happening in front of them. This has not changed. You can have padded inflated stats and be just average. That is what Tremaine is. He is just average. Our defense last year was just a smoke and mirror defense. When they played a good team they mostly got their butts handed to them. Indy, TB, KC in the playoffs are proof. When and where was the #1 defense when called upon to perform, or step it up, against these good teams, it was MIA in these games. All I can say is that last years #1 D gave up 552 yards to KC in a playoff game. Pathetic. Last 13 seconds of that game and OT defines that #1 D in two words. ....... Absolutely overrated. I really hope this year is different with all the new D-line players and Von being brought in and $ they spent . We will see on Thursday night in LA. I hate to say it but if the D plays the way they did last year Buffalo is going to be very long night. Our entire locker rooms CB depth in this game are going to be rookie level at best. Tre-White is not ready by a long shot despite what everyone has seen of him on the practice field. It was no different at SJFC training camp he was not even close to being ready. Just riding a stationary bike still means he is at least 3 months away. Not good. -

That is not what I said. I know he did not play in that game and like I said, Klein and Milano did nothing in that game. Frankly even in the game today Milano and Tremaine tackled each other instead Hinton over the middle. The receiver was right in front of them and they take each other out. Denver's OL number 77 put Milano on his ass and they were both running around again today and hardly making any impact plays when they were in there. Like I said we can only hope it gets better than what we saw on the field today against Denver's 2nd String players. Like I said last year none of our linebackers finished in the top 25 at their position last year. There are plenty of other LB's in the game that are better than Tremaine and Milano right now. FYI, there were 30 other linebackers last year with more tackles than Tremaine. So he is not all that special. -

Yeah I do get that. The thing that bothers me the most is watching this guy play. He IS NOT a impact linebacker at all. He very seldom makes 1 on 1 plays for a loss or contains a RB out of the backfield with out help. He just can't a stuff another player one on one. The problem is both our linebackers are a problem. Milano does not get a free pass either. Go back to Indy game last year. Our Linebackers were completely MIA, they did absolutely nothing in that game. We have had suspect Linebackers for years. And yes it has cost us wins, in the win loss column. I am hoping that we get better LB play this year. Because it will be needed to make it to the SB this year. -

Because you're sipping on that juice again. It's a brand new season, same old bad taste on Tremaine. His expiration date is this year. Time to dump him down the drain. 😁 -
We just have to let this play out. Competition is a good thing in pre season. Tre is not ready to play and personally I don't see him even starting until midway through this season. ACL surgery and getting back to 100% full potential takes more than 9 months for this to happen. It does not matter if your in the NFL or not on this type of surgery. I had this done on my ACL and MCL on my right knee and rehabbed 5 out of every 7 days for 12 months until I felt good enough to trust doing anything 100% on my repaired knee, athletically related. Even after that I used a brace for reassurance. Cornerback is probably the worst position to have this type of injury. You are constantly reacting while covering a receiver. Pivoting and making abrupt directional changes is very hard on your knee, even more so after this type of injury and surgery.

Deshaun Watson to be suspended 11 games via settlement
Toyo321 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is all hush hush and no talk from the Brown's sponsors on this topic & DW. Listening to DW on NFL live yesterday, and him trying to explain if he apologized or not, shows this guy is a piece of **** trash. He has no standards or morals, he does not have a single ounce of remorse in him, and he is definitely not NFL material. It is amazing how athletes get away from being held responsible for their actions. He should have been fined $1 Million per sexual assault plaintiff in the case against him. His fine should have been $24 mil. Also some of that fine should have donated by the NFL to a woman's outreach program that deals with this type of sexual abuse on a daily basis. But the NFL does not have stomach for doing the right thing. They never have been role models, when it comes to disciplining their current players. These NFL guys forget it is a privilege that they can play in the NFL, it is not a protected right !!! -

Still can't believe he did not get suspended the entire season. Seeing the quotes and what he did and it was not a isolated incident. He should have been gone at least until next year. NFL is unreal. -
How the most accurate passer in the league performed caught on video !!!! Tyreek should be ducking reporters all day today!!! Josh is going to eat this team up again this year!!! Josh rules Miami !!!

Wow nailed that pick!!
-
It has to be RB we have no depth at that position. Moss is injury prone and I would consider him a bust period. Never did like him as a 3rd round pick. Motor although tough is not big enough to take a pounding all season long. I still have doubts about him too. Just does not have the explosive break away speed that other NFL backs do. We have no one on our roster that is a competent backup, what Duke Johnson, Taiwan Jones, Please..... This is a huge hole that needs to be filled in this round with this pick. We can go receiver or LB in the 3rd round. I would wear a damn stupid Packers Cheese head if we didn't go RB in this round. I would even trade Moss away to get a decent RB.
-
This guy just makes to many mistakes on the field. Missed tackles and he constantly reads the holes wrong on the LOS. He is never in the right spot when it matters most. I have seen him so many times completely over run tackle attempts on RB's and TE's and then be out of position to make a seemingly easy stop. Just can't figure out why this guy is just not lighting people up at the LOS. He is just not that kind of LB. He lacks the raw instinct that good Linebackers seem to possess today and the ones that make a difference during a game. Hate to say it but Milano makes some head scratching plays too. Sometimes I swear he is taking a play off because he is nowhere to be found around the ball. He too, gets caught out of position and sometimes it kills us with a big play right up the middle.
-
We need to replace this guy, he is Sooooooooooooooooooooooo average, the draft is our friend if we can get LB to replace this guy, but it's doubtful. But we need other D help at CB first and foremost. I would take DEVIN LLOYD, UTAH or NAKOBE DEAN, GEORGIA but we need a CB first round so we are stuck with Tremaine for another year.
-
That is why he is not worth signing again. He really needs to be traded or given his walking papers, he is not the LB that this team needs to fix the running and short underneath passing protection that we suffer at stopping on D. Just not worth big money IMO. There are better options out there.

McD has the opportunity to talk to all of his coaches at halftime. How in the world do you not try to come up with a way to put 7 points on the board. He has his headset on and is constant communication with his coaches while on the sideline. If he can't make a game time strategy change he is over his head..... Which has happened to many times this year.
-
Because Cincy just took 2 years and they are in the superbowl. Read it any way you want to 4 years of playoff appearances doesn't mean squat if you don't get to the big dance. McD was over his head all year long and his winning performance against good teams this year was less than stellar. Beating up on terrible teams and losing to good teams through out this years schedule. Then there is this..... Jacksonville loss proves he is over his head. Are you telling me that there was no way to manufacture a touchdown in that game. With the talent we have on the Off side of the ball. Give me a break. McD sucks. McD is on borrowed time.

We should have been in this SB. Watching these two teams......

Sean Payton on the end of the Bills-Chiefs game
Toyo321 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is why McD and Frazier are absolutely clueless in these key situational moments, or in a games key critical moment. When the right play call needs to be made on the field to prevent an opposing team from doing what KC did to us on D, this team fails over and over because our coaches have instilled in its players to not play reactively when the moment calls for it. Instead everything is scripted so badly we end up having players doing nothing but standing on the field out of position, looking around dumbfounded. Our Defensive football IQ against good teams is less than acceptable, reading what the other team is trying to do or preventing them from making a must have big play has not happened yet with this coaching staff. Like every other NFL Media outlet has said over and over this past couple of weeks, the coaching staff blew the last 13 seconds of this game. It is an embarrassment that other NFL, coaches are now chiming in, and pointing out these obvious flaws with our Defensive play calling strategy and our situational awareness while on D. Way to go McD and Frazier you guys get to wear the dunce cap the rest of this off season and go stand in the damn corner. Frasier has to go....McD needs to go next if we fail to get to a SB in this coming season. -
Until our linebackers are both replaced we will never be able to put the pressure needed on the QB in critical games. Our lack of LB play and pressure has been a detriment to this team for 4 years.

Bad time for the LBs to play terribly Matt Milano and Tremaine Edmunds have been mainstays in the Buffalo defense for five and four years, respectively. They almost never come off the field, for good reason. But in playing all 76 snaps in this game, they were just awful. Milano, one of the Bills consistently best players, graded out dead last among the 17 players who played on defense per Pro Football Focus. PFF had him giving up seven receptions on seven targets for 76 yards including the 25-yarder to Travis Kelce that set up the tying field goal, and then the game-winning TD to Kelce. Edmunds graded out 16th as he allowed 10 receptions on 11 targets for 108 yards including 54 yards after the catch. On the outside, Levi Wallace, perhaps playing his final game for the Bills, gave up 130 yards on six targets, five of which were completed. Ninety of that was after the catch, the big one being Tyreek Hill’s 64-yard catch and run TD. On Kansas City’s final 15 plays, it averaged 12.9 yards and scored two TDs and a field goal against what was supposed to be the NFL’s best defense. “It’s just an unfortunate situation that we were in, that things didn’t go our way,” Edmunds said. I rest my case..... Quoted from below https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2022/01/25/buffalo-bills-loss-chiefs-looks-bad-days-after-sals-thoughts/9204234002/
