Next year will be Year 3 for Knox, but it seemed to me like he regressed this year. I felt that he was a much better and more aggressive blocker last season (playoff game notwithstanding). This year, it looks like he was tentative on blocks, whiffed at times, and missed assignments. He also seemed more fluid and aggressive with the ball in his hands last year. IMO, he was stiff and tentative after the catch this year (and still managed to fumble twice - on only 34 touches - this year). Beane didn't really sound too enthused or impressed by the production from the TEs this year either.

Did the same thing in the playoff game vs. Houston last year, and in the game vs. AZ this year. His hands are suspect, and that's being kind. Never mind top-end speed, he seems to have very little burst or acceleration.

Despise Brady, but TB is the lesser of two evils for me. Guys like Hill, Clark, Chris Jones, the Chiefs OL, etc. are POS.

Which RBS do we go after this offseason?

No thanks on Singletary being the 3rd down back next year - he has terrible hands. -
I'd rather watch teams play a clean game, and let talent prevail. it's pretty clear that KC's game plan was to hold the WRs and bump them >5 yards past the LOS. Kudos to them - it worked, and all it cost them was 1 defensive holding penalty and a stern talking to by the refs to Spagnuolo. Pushing guys over piles after the whistle was a beyotch move too. But that seems to be who KC wants to be now.

exactly my point. Inconsistent. What is their threshold on calling defensive holding? It was called once on each team throughout the game...clearly, their threshold is not rooted in the rule book. Should each team just play man-to-man and just hold the opposing receivers? Seems to be the way to go...depending on the mood of the refs.
-
not the reason we lost, but the refs, once again, were woefully inconsistent and turned a blind eye to a play that was worthy of an ejection.

and was being interfered with. the near-constant holding and illegal contact probably had something to do with the lack of separation

Allen's facemark was grasped last night, he was slapped in the head by a blitzing DB while in the pocket...no call on either. The Jones punch...no call. Defensive holding/illegal contact....called once all game. Why have rules if they are selectively enforced and not consistently applied?

The D was not good this year. They were downright horrible to start the year (maybe the first 6-8 games), played a bit better in the 2nd half, and then dropped 2 steaming piles of crap in the post-season. But we'll always have Baltimore. -
We really have no playmakers on defense. Milano and White make a play every now and then. Pressure from the front four would obviously help (IMO, Butler, Addison and Jefferson added very little). LB play in general was sub-par, and frankly, I didn't think that Tre was very good this season. Singletary is a below-average NFL RB (and frankly shouldn't be near the top of a RB depth chart for an NFL team). Has he really made anyone miss since the Rams game? Poor hands as well. Moss looks more of an RB2. Knox looked stiffer when he caught the ball this year versus last. No fluidity at all. Definitely need more speed at TE/RB. At WR, is Davis a big-bodied red zone threat? He has a big frame, but does he use his size? Seems that too often this year, he let the ball come to him, rather than attacking the ball in the air. Is Hodgins the big-bodied red zone threat? Lots of questions to be answered this off-season.

Seems like a real solid dude, and definitely embodies the "Humble and Hungry" motto. The players love him too. Worst case, we'd get 2 third-round comp picks. But, that Texans job sounds like a nightmare.
