  1. The guy is incredibly unlikeable. Keeping an enemies list of eveyone who vaguely said anything critical against him =" asshat" (admittedly it appears many posters here do the say thing for Josh Allen) Calling Daniel Jones a loser before ever meeting him = "asshat" Planting the OU flag at OSU = "asshat" Grabbing his nuts against Kansas = "asshat" Swearing at reporters after a lost = "asshat" (I know a whole lot of athletes would like to do this but they have more self-control) Threatening to fight fans at bengals game = "asshat" Blaming referees for a lost after throwing three interceptions = "asshat" Coming in overweight to training camp = "complacent asshat" At least you won't have to worry about him working out with Josh Allen and Sam Darnold this off-season: "I do not need anyone to teach me how to do a three step drop" https://247sports.com/Article/Baker-Mayfield-says-he-does-not-need-quarterback-tutor-Cleveland-Browns-Oklahoma-Sooners-Football-141139689/ I'm not saying he is a bust yet -- base on his history he is going to be working really hard in the off-season and perhaps with competent coaching he will get his game back. However, he is probably the only player I ever hoped would fail.
  2. The lack of these types of rumours coming out of OBD is one of the things that most impresses me about Beane-McDermott. Under. Russ Brandon and Doug Whaley there were always rumors about who was in the doghouse, who was unhappy, who was fighting with who all the time. It seems like everybody is on the same page now.
  3. Maybe but I thought that was what Beasley I'd good at.
  4. I do find the league blitzing Russell Wilson surprising but there is no doubt that you blitz qbs that you don`t think can beat the blitz. That`s why the standard thing one does against rookies is to blitz them and I am pretty sure that's why they blitz Allen.
  5. The #1 in being blitz means that the league does not believe Allen makes decisions quickly enough and would support the negative tone of the original article.
  6. They did throw it something like 20 out of the first 21 plays against the jets so it seems pretty wide open to me.
  7. It seems to me they did try to take the reigns off Allen at the beginning of the year, i.e., the Jets game and we used he wasm`t ready. Hopefully he will be ready next year.
  8. It's great to see two rational comments in a row. Restores ones faith in humanities ability to think rationally.
  9. Returning to the OP, I find it curious that when Allen was putting up meh numbers against historically bad defenses, the narrative was the opponents don`t matter, it's just wins and losses. Now it`s yeh, he's putting up meh numbers but look at the great defenses he`s playing.
  10. I don`t see much evidence that Case has lost the team. They are 5-2 in the last 7 games. A few anonymous sources quoted by Manish Mehta is hardly meaningful. Given that he does seem like a real ass.
  11. Mark Sanchez and 5 QBs who turn it on in the 4th quarter Article from 2011 on 4th quarter qbs; 1. Sanchez. 2. Tebow. 3. Romo. 4. Rodgers. 5. Brady. 6. E. Manning The difference between the first two and the last four was that the latter were also good in the first three quarters. Allen has a unique skill set and shown great progress but imho he is, at present, a slightly below average starting qb. However he has shown he can learn I have optimism that he will get better. However if he is where he is right now next year it will be severely disappointing.
  12. I don`t see Garropolo on the list but imho is clearly better. There is then another 4 to 6 that one can reasonably argue about.
