Week 14 - Bills at Rams Game Week Thread
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have a similar observation with a more optimistic twist I guess? Haha. I think the turnovers put the offense in a position where they don’t really have to do much in the second half of a lot of games now. I think they would rise to the occasion should they get into a shootout though I don’t think the yards/game type stats are a great indicator of how the offense is playing imo…I think the redzone td percentage is a much more important thing to be lookin at can’t see the DVOA offensive rankings without a paid account now lol but I’d think we’re in the top 5 -
lol I’m pretty sure he did us a favor trading tyreek to the dolphins. Straight up torpedoed that team in the long term.

It was probably much easier to perpetually miss the playoffs when there were only two wildcards to be fair 🤣.

The offense is kind of a victim of the defense/turnover differential (in a good way lol). They don’t really have to do much in a good chunk of second halves and just run out the clock. Some of it is how were defended too, teams are basically daring Josh to get impatient so we just go down the field with short plays if we have to -
If you get stopped you probably lose.
-
He blew the NFC championship goin for two too many of those haha
-
They’re a great team but still massively overrated somehow lol I don’t get it. People talk about them like they’re gods 😂

Quarterbacks and "fake slide" controvery
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to I'm Spartacus's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s much safer this year for Josh the way he’s been doing it but we’ve got people here complaining he’s ’lost a step’ when he does it 🤣 the later you slide the more you’re inviting a big hit from a player that can’t get out of the way in time but Al-Shaair 100% could’ve avoided his hit so he can’t use that excuse. -

some of these are definitely good fortune but there’s some bad luck hiding in there too The fact that we played Miami twice early in the season and they had tua for 7/8 quarters is bad luck I’d say given how the rest of their season went lol Flacco over Richardson and Rudolph over Levis feel like upgrades to me we didn’t get Dhop much on the titans so that he could get traded to the chiefs which is worse I think the rams are pretty much right on track for their projected season win total if not better -
I’d normally dismiss it but pretty much every ex player talks about the party lifestyle and McDaniel physically looks like he’s losing his marbles a bit so there’s probably some truth to it lol

Is this the best team in the Allen era?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s the best bills team relative to the other best teams in the conference imo. A few years ago the bills roster was better but the chiefs were considerably better than they are now -

If they keep posting they’re worried about our opponent they’re bound to get it right at some point then they will finally get an ‘I told you so’ moment 🤣 the ‘I’m worried about this average at best team don’t sleep on them’ posters have been having a rough year so far capped off by the guy thinking niners +6.5 was free money haha -
I’d have to go back through the draft board, was there someone with a more FS skillset available at bishop’s spot? Looks like Bullock was the next safety picked and the Texans have him playing SS also. I don’t know that there was any safety drafted that is starting at FS right now maybe the transition to the nfl is tough at that position. im sure we view bishop as someone who had more of SS skills out of the gate but has the skill/versatility to play both spots

I wouldn’t call it a 100% scam, I think they went into the game intending on posting about how mia went to her first nfl game after fighting cancer and had the best time with a pic and the gofundme link for her medical bills. seems to me like they were letting a guy by that bumped into them by mistake and thought they’d get more eyes on the post if they played up that angle. If that’s exactly what went down it’s certainly deceptive, but I’m sure they could use the money. I hesitate to use the word scam cuz to me that’s something like ‘the girl didn’t even ever have cancer and the parents are pocketing the money’ lol
-
I totally agree there’s people bad enough at every nfl game to elbow their way through a family and buffalo is no different but this particular story just doesn’t add up for me still idk who hears a drunk guy that has been supposedly assaulting you with snowballs all game say ‘I’m gonna shove my way through those niners fans’ and doesn’t immediately attempt to get his young child out of the way it is just straight up bizarre. It would make a lot more sense to me if they didn’t hear the guy talking about what he was gonna do and he just came out of nowhere. I am pretty convinced the family was intentionally letting this guy by and he lost his balance and bumped the girl into a chair

Indy beat miami. Even in that very specific scenario I think there’s very little chance Miami gets in with Indy having JAX week 18. Miami is cooked if they lose 1 more because the broncos play the colts and they have to jump both in the standings. They are either chasing a 9-5 Denver team or a 7-7 colts team with the tiebreaker with Tennessee, NYG, and JAX to go

I don’t really get paragraph 2…the nfl playoffs is so crazy high variance involving so much dumb luck with needing the right guys staying healthy, questionable calls going your way, OT coin flips being won 😂, etc that the best way to bring one home is to keep getting back there with good seeding imo. Playing the chiefs as tough or tougher than any other team in the league in a big sample size feels like evidence it’s gonna happen to me but to each their own.
-
I just watched Andy Reid who is supposedly a genius make one of the dumbest decisions I’ve ever seen that should’ve coughed the 1 seed up for the chiefs and he got bailed out by dumb luck lol I watched Dan Campbell go full meathead in the NFC championship and coach his team right out of the game.. I’m over 13 seconds at this point
-
Yea I hate thinking it but what I think happened was they started the gofundme before the game and were planning on posting about how she beat cancer and had so much fun at her first nfl game knowing bills fans would donate…I’m 100% all for that and probably would have donated myself. but they must’ve thought they’d get more views if they exaggerated a fan lightly brushing by them into a shove that easily makes the most logical sense
-
Not sure if this makes me an a** lol but this new story still sounds like a bit of an exaggeration to me although I’m sure it’s much closer to the truth than before most logical thing to me is the bills fan took a jab at the 49ers fans when asking them to move, the girl knew he wanted to get by so she stood against a chair as close as she could to let him by, guy was drunk so he wobbled a bit which caused her to safely fall into the chair she was right in front of. I don’t think the niners fans heard someone was trying to get by them and just stood in the way that doesn’t make a lot of sense to me

I gotta be honest I would love the chiefs trying to pound the run all game in the playoffs…that’s likely gonna lead to a lot of 3rd and medium passing situations and with those OTs they have I don’t trust them to pick a lot of those up. outside of the ravens nobody is particularly great at running the football on the afc playoff side
