  1. I think what stood out to me in this one was it really wasn’t in stupid fashion…the chargers were just flat out better in pretty much every way. It wasn’t like unlucky turnovers or stupid mistakes, in fact I think the chiefs were pretty lucky just to be in that game. Chargers absolutely dominated and a couple blown coverages and a ridiculous fg resulting from a dumb clock management mistake made the final score closer than it actually looked Chiefs have only lost like two other turnover-free games in the entire mahomes era and the last time was vs the eventual afc champion bengals in 2021 who were significantly better than the 2025 chargers id never say they’re done by any means but I think the importance of that game is getting downplayed quite a bit just based on previous years results which doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.
  2. Just went to the nin show at Barclays…amazing show 😂
  3. People may call it an excuse but if the bills had the bye that year KC came to Buffalo in the playoffs they win that game fairly easily imo. Our linebacker room got absolutely ravaged by injuries in that wildcard round against pit and the chiefs took every advantage. The importance of the 1 seed/regular season results gets downplayed way too much because the chiefs were pretty healthy and snuck their way through a few banged up teams on the road path to the superbowl one time. That’s not a feat they would be pulling off consistently. Every other year they were either the 1 seed or the 2 seed with the 1 seed knocked out.
  4. I wouldn’t say the chiefs are done by any means but they got straight up dominated by a pretty good division opponent and have a bunch of actually tough games coming up…I don’t think the score was a good indicator of how one sided those on the field matchups were.the chargers did their vintage can’t put a team away late thing but this time they were the better team by such a large margin it didn’t matter that is completely different than losing to probably the best team on your schedule and second best roster in the league which would be the deal if the bills lost
  5. Bills would’ve scored 60 last night im pretty sure lol chiefs defense had a really bad night. I’m really hoping that Chris jones falloff is permanent but it’s wayyyy too early to suggest that
  6. Bills need the 1 seed…nothing else will do. Nobody needs the game more than them. People talk like the regular season doesn’t matter but it matters a lot…that’s how kc was able to watch while Baltimore and Buffalo beat the ***** out of eachother last year
  7. The chiefs losing a turnover free game is borderline historic…I think it’s happened like twice with mahomes as a starter and the last time was week 17 2021 against the bengals. The ugly games people are talking about are usually the chiefs just being sloppy protecting the football and that kinda stuff you know is not gonna happen come playoff time these games where teams just seem so much more talented them all over the field are popping up now though and they feel like something entirely different/less correctable to me. They’re still a dangerous team of course…I wouldn’t ever suggest they’re done. But I really do think they have been at least a tier below the prime Chiefs for a year+ now and have gotten some good fortune which has them outperforming their talent level.. most notably they always seem to be freakishly healthy come playoff time lately
  8. I don’t think they can afford to or actually do treat it that way at all…the 1 seed was such a massive advantage for them I don’t think they would’ve made the Super Bowl without it last year..getting to rest a week then face the injury riddled Texans while the ravens and bills beat eachother up was huge. this years roster seems to have a lot of the same problems if not more
  9. I mean all three of those guys were exclusively coached by mcd while in Buffalo haha I’m not sure what the point even is there. Tre he developed from the start of his career and he turned poyer who was a bum in Cleveland into a great player. Micah Hyde was obviously good already but he’s the only one mcd didn’t have a big hand in developing he did bring in taron johnson and Christian benford in the beane era too who are cornerstone type players in the secondary. Seems like they made Rapp into a serviceable player also which I never even woulda thought possible 😂 Elam was a first round miss but they got some return for him and late first round misses are pretty common. Chiefs drafted Anudike-uzomah in 2023 who is pretty equal to the Elam pick id say
  10. Defense is a big red flag for me after that game….they would not have won a shootout against Baltimore or Buffalo or cincy tonight with worthy and rice back 100% healthy and unsuspended. That’s frankly probably a blowout against a top tier opponent even with those guys. Really we don’t even know what rice will look like when he’s back…sometimes it takes guys a year or so just to trust their knee again Chris jones regressing from otherworldly to really good is gonna expose a lot of guys on that defense it’s seeming like. He’s been absolutely carrying that dline and masking some secondary issues
  11. Kingsley isn’t lookin any better at guard…he’s feelin like another missed chance at OL improvements for them. I didn’t notice Simmons doing anything too bad though that pick might be solid im still a little confused by their draft strategy but if they keep winning nobody will care haha Kingsley was def a high ceiling low floor type prospect and that’s not really the type of guy they could afford rolling the dice on in one of those tackle spots. I wonder if they wanted rosengarten and the ravens swiped him first
  12. Yea my short term memory sucks I guess haha. I didn’t start really focusing on him until late and it looked like he stopped his early drop…probably because of all his earlier penalties haha
  13. I don’t think they can tolerate any amount of falloff from Chris jones or they’re gonna expose a lot of mediocre players that have been getting masked by how good jones is
  14. I’m still not super sold on him tbh and I’m trying to be as objective as possible (maybe I’m failing though lol)…the bills playoff defense with its best corner removed and replaced with kaiir Elam would make most receivers in the league look like an all pro 😂I don’t think he was super impactful other than that game He had like 40 more targets and 80 more yards than Coleman and Coleman was injured then pretty bad when he returned. Worthy’s getting talked up like he’s a high end wr1 though it’s pretty strange Pacheco looks like he’s running so hard which seems to fool people but I don’t think he’s ever been very good haha
  15. Are they cracking down on his early drops? I didn’t see him moving as egregiously early as usual lol
  16. Yea I think the offense will be better than last year…the oline seemed to hold up ok most of the game which is a slight improvement. that was one of the worst defensive performances I’ve seen from them in awhile though and that unit has been carrying them recently. Even if the offense makes a jump they could theoretically be a worse team than last season we’ve been fighting a pretty big uphill battle against them in the playoffs because their defense has been exponentially harder to score on than ours 😂
  17. Final score got a little tight but I didn’t really feel the chiefs magic in this one tbh…felt like the chargers had guys wide open all over the field all night. Really uncharacteristic stuff. Felt so strange seeing the chiefs get held to a fg after that huge Brown catch too
  18. I think the offense is gonna be fine…it feels like parity has been eating away at that defense though and idk if they have the horses to run spags’ scheme super effectively not sure rice is gonna be himself until next year…knee injury recovery is pretty tough
  19. Defensive depth has been a huge problem against the chiefs in the playoffs for multiple years now on top of needing a huge upgrade at cb2 over how Douglas played last year It’s givin me a bit of a chuckle people are complaining we drafted multiple corners in a deep cb draft because they wanted mid round WRs in a weak wr draft. If we mostly stood pat there’s just too many guys on the defensive side where it’s a virtually guaranteed loss against the playoff chiefs if they’re not available to play. You could give Josh any wr of his choosing from around the league and the bills still probably lose that chiefs game without benford last year. If taron goes down, pretty much the same deal 13 seconds game the starting corners were Levi Wallace/dane Jackson, last year after benford went down we were in even worse shape than that. And the game in between those two we lost pretty much the whole LB room against PIT the week before.
  20. I have seen him on some sleeper lists to be fair…I’m not gonna pretend to know anything about him myself though haha
  21. Josh had to be exponentially more pissed off at the defense than his offensive weapons I am genuinely perplexed people don’t see it that way. The dude would have to put up 40-50 points to beat good teams. I don’t see how a 3rd or 4th round talent wr in a bad wr draft really would’ve put a dent in that
  22. A circus-free offseason lol
  23. That’s a fair point but people are certainly moaning about both lol I see a lot of bond chatter. I’m not sure I’d call it a run Haha gotta tip the cap for the use of Hanjob despite liking the pick 😂
