  1. Should’ve won but blew it? They got outgained by 200 yards and got like 2 first downs in the second half. They were fortunate to not lose by 30+ again we lost a bunch of important players in this one …they had Spector and Dane Jackson to pick on and got two first downs all second half. Two?! I’ll give them some benefit of the doubt for their defensive injuries but even at full strength they are objectively a tier or two below the bills edit: wow I don’t even think it was 2 haha I think it was 1 😂
  2. Browns are the most overrated team I can remember in recent playoff history lol. Defense has been great but the Flacco story is so feel-good that nobody is really looking into what he’s been doin too closely. Obviously it’s not a cakewalk straight up but as far as who you’ll run into in the second/third round of the playoffs that’s about as easy as it’s gonna get. That chiefs defense is not terribly far behind Cleveland’s and their offense has a lot more upside. Baltimore is right there in defense and their offense is much better as well I think we’d be a 7 point favorite against Cleveland
  3. I think he’s safe regardless but if we get absolutely blown out you never know…first round exit or worse this year and next year id expect him gone though
  4. This is a very half empty vs half full situation that I can’t blame anyone for feeling either way on. I can’t personally blame him for squeaking by undermanned teams when we lost quite a few close games as a very undermanned team ourselves but to each their own. to me everything evened out over the course of the season, we had big late calls bail us out and screw us in other games, we had a ton of injuries and played some injured teams, and we exactly met expectations. All things considered I’d take blowing some easy games and playing great against good teams over the alternative
  5. What’s the story with td/int ratio around the league this year? More dbs holding and it not getting called? It felt like last year everyone was way higher it’s not just a josh thing not only are ints up it feels like passing tds are way down
  6. He would’ve had a big year anyway if he didn’t hurt his thumb…looked like he had trouble catching for a few weeks after the thumb injury. Still a great rookie season nonetheless
  7. Felt like mostly offensive line/wrs blocking related penalties that derailed us on offense in the preseason game. My only memory of that game was us having like a 3rd and 30 lol I think no watt and a whole season of the offensive line getting snaps will clean that up I remember being more worried about the defense after that one though…Steelers marched right down and scored back to back drives
  8. They couldn’t run the ball at all until the passing game picked up…don’t think they’re really suited to be a one dimensional smashmouth team
  9. Get used to it we’re gettin 3 in a row (maybe 4+ if they end up in Buffalo in the playoffs) lol
  10. I’m seein a lot less wind in the weather sites I typically frequent 😂 guess we’ll see who’s right. weather.gov ain’t even calling it windy they went a notch below and called it breezy lol 28th ranked rush defense by what metric? 😂 Steelers are 1-6 as that big of an underdog and 1-10 without watt…that bodes pretty well
  11. I thought we’d get in with 10 wins and we technically would’ve so I’m taking partial credit lol
  12. Oh yea that goes without saying too…I just didn’t feel like going through the ‘but every team has injuries’ then ‘yea but not to their 3-4 best defensive players’ debate again haha that defense we fielded against the pats was garbage…no Ed no Daquan no Milano no white or Douglas yet
  13. Looking back on it I feel like a small part of it was just catching teams at the wrong time. We def sucked too though no question lol. The jets weren’t a joke yet week 1 because their oline was still in decent shape, then we got jax who were waiting for us in London and Denver on a crazy forced turnover hot streak. We got the bengals with burrow when a lot of the other wildcard hopefuls got them without. Steelers got them without burrow twice. It’s just so much funnier because Miami just doesn’t beat winning teams. Like in what world did we not have a chance next week?
  14. I can’t argue with that logic…that’s a way to look at it that actually scares me 😂
  15. Our team seems to only play well when the pressure is at its absolute highest possible point these days lol this might have scared me more a few years ago. Spread is up to -10 despite the over/under dropping to account for the weather for all those wind doomers out there 🤣
  16. Def hurts those outside runs and he randomly has a huge game but there’s a lot of mistakes in the josh/davis connection too
  17. It’s really not that simple…if you can’t really attempt to pass, the run game suffers also if you can’t at least threaten that you’re two dimensional still. Yes there’s a point where there’s so much wind that neither team could pass but we are not near that level. The steelers run game is directly linked to how their qb is playing and it really didn’t pick up consistently until Rudolph started hitting passes downfield. A good chunk of the season the Steelers offense was an absolute disaster
  18. I mean you’re both makin valid points but the Steelers are 1-10 without watt lol that seems pretty relevant and isn’t exactly a small sample size. They could still win sure but I think you are big time underselling how good watt is…its not far off from us missing josh nobody seems to care about defense when talkin about best players in the league but you could def argue watt is the best player in the league
  19. I mean your logic is flawless when talking about playing football in a hurricane which will absolutely never happen lol. But in real life, most running football teams have to mix some passes in to keep safeties out of the box and struggle when they cannot do so. No one is taking mason rudolph seriously in 30mph winds and we will just load up against the run. With josh or mahomes etc you don’t have that luxury and the offense is still multi dimensional.
  20. These weather talks always make me chuckle lol josh is literally the prototypical bad weather qb and I don’t even think it’s really debatable. You’re worried because his stats get worse in bad weather and won’t even consider what that weather is doing to qbs that can’t throw 60 yard ropes or run like a fullback? the turnover points I totally agree with obviously but my response was to ‘the wind doesn’t care if you have a strong arm’ lol the wind absolutely cares
  21. Watt means more to the Steelers than all those guys combined mean to the dolphins…if people cared about defense when they handed out awards he’d be the mvp every year lol the dolphins d didn’t give us fits we gave ourselves fits with terrible execution once we hit the Miami 35 yard line…we marched up and down the field on them all night.
  22. I mean I think you’re saying the wind does care by adding ‘to some degree’ at the end of that lol a weaker armed qbs ball is getting blown off course much much more than a strong armed qb. josh plays worse in bad weather it’s no surprise at all but that doesn’t mean the other guy he’s up against in that weather doesn’t play even worse than their normal compared to josh vs his normal. He also runs like a fullback which makes bad weather tilt games his way too.
  23. I think people don’t really conceptualize point spreads that right way…they see the -9.5 on paper next to the smaller spreads for other games and theyre like oh wow the game won’t even be close but in reality you can have a 10 point game that’s really competitive the whole way to go a step further, -9.5 means they think they’ll get even betting between people thinking the bills win by more than 10 and people that don’t. It doesn’t really mean Vegas thinks we’ll win by 10. it’s a big spread by nfl standards but when you compare it to those ‘alright this one team doesn’t have much of a chance’ type college games that are usually in the 20s it isn’t anything like that
