  1. Andy Reid had his share of good regular season/bad playoff performance years with kc and he stuck around. A small contingent of fans on chiefs message boards wanted him gone but boy did they jump the gun 😂 I’d think if it’s truly freaky Friday and the bills are the team on the unbelievable playoff heater and the chiefs offense came up short against Buffalo several times there’s no shot Reid goes anywhere to be honest with you
  2. I feel like everyone is disappointed but the firing discussion is pretty polarizing. Taking the chiefs down to the wire in the playoffs is pretty much the ceiling for the whole league. If it was just a bills issue then the discussion is different. Look at Harbaugh, he’s 1-5 against them and the one win was a pretty miraculous late fumble. He’s winless against 1-3 seeds in the playoffs in the Lamar era I believe, has beaten a few 4s but also beefed it as the 1 seed against a 6 seed. They missed the playoffs one year and had a first round exit but I won’t hold it against them because Lamar was out. If mcd is on the hot seat Harbaugh undoubtedly has to be also and he’s a little easier to evaluate because we’ve got no personal attachment to him. I wouldn’t think about firing either guy yet personally but that’s just me I just can’t see the path to a first time head coach coming in and improving the situation when literally no coach in the league is beating the chiefs in the playoffs with any amount of consistency. Especially if it’s someone like Ben Johnson who’d have to bring in a DC that can figure out the 3 hof level afc qbs. Even if you have a low opinion of mcd pretty much the ceiling of DC he’s gonna bring in is a fired retread head coach like mcd 😂
  3. Taking the chiefs down to the wire in the playoffs is literally the peak of what any afc head coach has been able to do in the playoffs lol. Pats had a coin flip fall their way to win a game in ot, bengals just squeaked one out once that felt like more luck than anything seeing as it’s pretty generally accepted Zac Taylor is kind of a mess. i just don’t buy this ‘mental hump’ business and you are risking the future of the entire franchise on this false notion that ‘things can’t get worse’. A lot of you sound like you want to replace a hc with a sterling record against the only other afc east opponent that has a shot of doing anything that plays the chiefs as consistently well as anyone for a completely unproven no head coaching experience type guy. And y’all expect this unproven guy to be able to accomplish a feat that no other coach in the league is doing with any kind of regularity. Chiefs are 1-8 against active head coaches not named Sean McDermott this decade in the playoffs. It’s pure insanity and would be mocked mercilessly by the nfl world.
  4. I don’t see the ravens labeled as a team that can’t beat the chiefs hardly ever though…it’s bizarre. It was briefly a thing then the ravens beat them by 1 that one time out of 5 and it stopped getting talked about
  5. 15 at kickoff in a night game is pretty darn cold lol. Not historically cold or anything but it’s pretty rough. I feel like I’ve seen Lamar bundled up when it’s 50-60 degrees haha
  6. I mentioned this in an earlier post but it is absolutely MADDENING the ravens don’t have that label also. Has to be one of the greatest hypocrisies in sports analysis lol its almost like beating the chiefs consistently in the regular season and losing in a small sample size of incredibly close playoff games is somehow worse than extremely rarely ever beating them at all 😂 Not saying this is how it’ll go down but for arguments sake if the ravens were to beat the bills then lose to kc they’ll be 1-6 against kc (0-2 playoffs) in the Lamar era with the 1 win being kc fumbling the game away in game winning fg range. its kinda like avoiding that virtually guaranteed kc loss in 2020 by losing to buffalo works out in their favor out of bills ravens bengals Baltimore is the least successful by a longshot i for one will never understand cherry picking only the playoff games against kc. The last two years they faced us they had a shot to continue an undefeated season against us and a shot to virtually eliminate us from even making the playoffs which they would’ve loved. Those two games werent kc toying around with us not taking us seriously by any means lol they were essentially playoff games
  7. Win: bills could load up against the run because no zay flowers/ playing at home gave them the edge lose (national media): ravens/lamar are just the better team/qb…top tier qbs are Lamar and mahomes with Josh leading tier 2. lose(these boards): fire McD
  8. Whole thing is so funny cuz the chiefs absolutely own the ravens and for some reason nobody talks about it 😂. Lamar should absolutely be getting the Josh Allen ‘can’t win the big game’ treatment win or lose here. Harbaugh/lamar can’t beat them regular season or playoffs. The one time the ravens won out of the 6 attempts the chiefs fumbled the game away in game winning fg range
  9. Just to be fair I think being more familiar with the conditions and home crowd noise type stuff is directly related to the game your criticism of stuff like ‘we can’t lose 3 in a row’ is def spot on though lol
  10. That Cleveland team they beat week 18 was one of the worst offenses in recent history imo. Calling them 22nd is based on games earlier in the season when the roster looked a lot different. Zappe at qb, no njoku, cooper traded away weeks ago, foreman at rb. That team was absolutely horrendous at least Winston is good for a bunch of passing yards but he turns it over a ton. Zappe gives you nothing
  11. The market kind of dried up on RBs because it’s a passing league and having two-three pretty good RBs that specialize in different areas started makin a lot more sense than subjecting one feature back to injury by having them do everything especially when they tick closer to 30+. We’ll see how it works out for them but to me the ravens are well equipped to take teams out that built their roster to slow down the chiefs but I just don’t think the ceiling is high enough for their style of play to beat KC then someone like Philly or detroit. So really all they’ve done in my mind is built a team that makes it harder for the chiefs to lose in the playoffs lol we harp on mcds playoff success against kc but Harbaugh isn’t beating them in the regular season or playoffs. Ravens are 1-5 against kc in the Lamar era with that 1 win being a 1 pointer that the ravens just held onto due to a late chiefs fumble in fg range It’s so odd to me that the ravens ineptitude against the chiefs just doesn’t get discussed as much as bills chiefs 😂
  12. Should be a lot easier when only one of them is shaky in coverage instead of all three of them like the regular season 😂. Spector Williams Morrow being the 3 LB set completely invalidates the regular season results imo…that is absolutely brutal. And the alternative was stay in nickel with Lewis at nickel corner and no rapp also brutal
  13. Not really how it works…the 10-20 yard type runs that happen sparingly bring the average up. If you’re running the ball every play a lot of times you’re gonna gain 0-1 and it’s gonna kill drives and force you into obvious throwing situations
  14. It was mostly the same last time these two teams played in the playoffs then the excuse train started when it didn’t go the way the media/negative contingent of bills fans thought it would lol both teams were right around the win totals they are at this year, Baltimore coming to Buffalo, Lamar is gonna run all over them yada yada think we were a small favorite in that one technically but most of the media was picking Baltimore
  15. Bills failed on offense on a bunch of short yardage plays too/had a couple big drops it wasn’t like they weren’t moving the ball
  16. I don’t think the cold thing is completely illogical tbh. Bills are leading the league in fumbles forced and have the least lost fumbles and are more used to that field/the conditions. Ravens love to run the ball. Obviously anyone saying they’re definitely gonna win because it’s cold are a little crazy haha but it’s in the pro column I’d say
  17. Regular season has a massive impact on playoff success haha I chuckle every time people discount it. It’s happening right before our eyes…we currently have to go Baltimore-KC which would be two 60/40 type games even in the best of circumstances. If we had the 1 seed it would be a fairly easy win against Houston then just one of Baltimore/KC. That’s a humongous probability difference
  18. Probably depends a lot on how well prepared fans are. People definitely underestimate what standing mostly in one place on frozen concrete for hours is gonna do to them the first time lol
  19. I can’t imagine how maddening it’s gotta be for all these guys to constantly hear that Josh Allen is the whole team and there’s a guy that’s more valuable than Josh simultaneously 😂
  20. I’m gonna spend way too much time trying to think of what the two losses were from memory lol
  21. The moneyline isn’t even good value for either team…you can get Josh Allen scoring a td for the same odds as the bills or ravens winning pretty much lol I kind of like Josh Allen 300 passing yards for +340. Ravens defense is good but I think they’re getting a bit overvalued with props like that.
  22. Strictly head coach speaking I feel like Flores is pretty solid…idk about grigson though or Mccown earning a promotion lol the ceiling for the jets HC is probably around there seeing as they are a known nightmare ownership wise team would’ve looked different for sure but Flores really wasn’t far off from McDaniel’s W/L results in Miami and he was pretty early on in the rebuild when fired. Hard to even say he was wrong for hating tua even if you only wanted to focus on injury history
  23. Those nerdy advanced stats type places really liked the broncos haha. Elo had them at 8th and I think DVOA had them 6th. I think that’s what started a lot of the ooooo the broncos are gonna get the upset talk. Granted they both have Baltimore 1 so that’s good news and bad news lol
  24. I’ve actually seen a bunch of Buffalo picks surprisingly haha used to love nflpickwatch but it requires a subscription now so I’m not sure of overall percentages but they’re out there
  25. Not only is everyone healthy but throughout the regular season we were definitely super cautious holding guys out that probably could’ve played to keep everyone healthy so it’s a double whammy.
