  1. Powers-Johnson. And there is not a close second choice.
  2. Its almost like these GMs don't know that "defense wins championships"
  3. If Jackson Powers is there at 28, I would be disappointed if the Bills passed on him.
  4. That is not what I am asking. I am asking to explain how the best available pass rusher/tackler at 28 helps the Bills in point differential more than the best available WR.
  5. why is that more important? please explain in terms of expectd point differential.
  6. At least they made a Super Bowl during the last window
  7. Autocorrected disappointment. And if you follow the thread you will see I support McConkey over legette.
  8. If the pick in the first is a WR it will be dissident they can’t make major contributions next season. It seems like a losing strategy to use first round picks that need development.
  9. Shakir demonstrated competence but it is not like he he is copper cupp or Wes Welker in his prime. if McConkey beats him out, I t is a good position to upgrade.
  10. Aside from Josh Allen, TBD consensus has been probably about as good as Beane.
  11. NFL will be a racist as the next guy when reviewing CBs.
  12. The reason to draft WRs or edge rusher early is to get players who can contribute immediately on their first contract. That is McConkey among these two. Honestly, I am hoping Jackson Powers-Johnson falls to 28 and we sure up the center position for a decade.
  13. If the next Mahomes is in this draft and falls to Jets position, I very much hope they trade out of the pick.
  14. My theory is that the Bills are looking towards 2025. And the 2024 strategy is to go as far as Josh Allen can carry them. Relatively inexpericenced OC's and DC's are set up to be the fall guys for 2024, if Allen can't carry them to the playoffs. I don't think Beane is worried one way or the other about 2024 pass rush.
  15. Trust the process. Asking is free.
  16. Its not about the loss, its about the expectation that replacements will not be as any better. Where do you see the Bills top 5?
  17. Whatever you think about PFF, they do try to quantify things that are tough to quantify. And whatever you think of power rankings, during the off-season, that is as good a way as any to see how the Bills are perceived https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-power-rankings-nfl-teams-before-2024-nfl-draft. At the present, PFF sees the Bills ranked 10th. I am not sure what people expect from any NFL draft. Every team picks players. Every team is trying to improve. A couple of teams drafting top QBs, may be looking to completely transform, their fortunes. But if your team is drafting 28th, its reasonable to expect that around 27 teams are better positioned to improve than your team is. Is there any reason to expect the Bills to outperform other teams with similar or more draft capital? If so why? Separately, do you think most pundits/fans see the Bills has a top 10 before the draft, and will any the draft move anyone's opinion one way or the other?
  18. You can't forget though, that we have the advantage of having a process.
  19. AFC East is awful, except for Josh Allen. The Bills should be considered favorites to win the division because of Allen. From there, making the super bowl is of course a possibility. But at this time their is no evidence the Bills have addressed the core problems they have faced in the playoffs the last several years.
  20. What makes you think McD is hungry. Each season he seems to run out of gas, and almost surrender in the playoffs. It seems to me he is anxious to start the off-season.
  21. I nominate this as a post of the year finalist. Clever. Succinct. Brilliant.
  22. I think the history of college coaching contracts suggests payments won't ratchet down for players.
