  1. Every player on the roster should be considered available for trade at the right price. I would even trade Josh Allen, as long as the compensation was Patrick Mahomes and a couple of first round draft picks. I don't understand how anyone evaluates the pluses or minus of only one side of the trade. For example, I would certainly trade Milano for the #5 overall draft pick. I would not trade him for the #180 overall pick.
  2. This is common mistake. People confuse charm and charisma with goodness. Many of histories most evil people have been charming and charismatic.
  3. My favorite sporting event is the first regular season Bill's game, after months of anticipation and while hope springs eternal. March Madness is a ton of fun though.
  4. It is very exciting that the coaching staff has solidified another scapegoat for their own playoff failures. Brilliant execution on this task.
  5. After Dorsey was fired we did not lose anymore games by giving teams extra chances to win because we had 12 men on the field. At least that problem was solved by Dorsey's firing.
  6. Bills have a tendency to pay solid average guys to above average contracts. And then are disappointed when they continue to be average.
  7. If your saying playing for Bill Walsh rather than Marty Shottenheimer is more important than who the WR's are, I agree. Dwight Clark was solid in the early Montana years. But the early Montana years has zero to do with the question asked, that I responded. too. The question i answered was about "after losing an elite WR". So I answered the actual question. Your response indicates you did not understand the question. But thats ok.
  8. Joe Montana was not Joe Montana without Jerry Rice. However Steve Young became the new Joe Montana with Jerry Rice.
  9. Was he on the injury report at all last year?
  10. Beane gets a pass for one reason: Josh Allen. It was a brilliant move. With the Josh Allen move included he is an above average GM. Remove the Josh Allen move, and he is a fairly average GM.
  11. We are only four seasons away from asking "will we miss the departed players?"
  12. Change any five players other than Allen on the Bills, and replace them with Jags. Bills still win the division in 2024 Change the GM and the Bills still win the division 2024 Change the entire coaching staff and the Bills still win the division in 2024. So we won't miss any of the departed players. But there is little evidence to expect Beane is going to replace them with players we would miss, if they left, either. Bills feel like they have been spinning their wheels for a while. Top 2 QB. Very weak division. Its a pretty good formula for winning the division. And only narrow-minded people think that is not good enough. Or so I have heard.
  13. Plus Belichek is no longer with the Patriots. So there is that.
  14. I think there is a decent change, 2024 is being viewed as a throway by the Bills. Bills can win the division on Allen's talent, plus the current offensive roster as well. I will not be shocked if the Bills trade down/out of 28 and 60 to load up in 2025. Something like this maybe:
  15. I don’t always agree with you. But this post is correct.
  16. It seems clear 2024 is not the target year for the championship. Massive turnover on defense, complete makeover of the WR room, new DC, first full year for an OC, Dline overhaul, no reason to expect Miller or Milano to return to form in 2024. Trading all of that draft capital for 2024 seems to make little sense. The more obvious answer seems to be building up the 2025 draft capital to make a move next year.
  17. Allen is going to rush for 1600 yards this year.
  18. In answer to the question in the thread title. No.
  19. Us old guys don't want to accept, that it is all prepping for 2025, and that 2024 is a "whatever Josh can do" season. Building excltement for PSL sales for the new stadium.
  20. Unless you were in the room, you are only speculating
  21. Since the Bills are a professional football organization, it is almost certain Allen was not involved in the decision. Since Allen is a professional athlete, he certainly understands it is part of the game.
  22. The standard draft chart considers a first rounder in the next year at 1000. Because no one knows in where it lands in the first round. Even the 32 pick one year out is worth more than 300.
