Beane still looking to add big bodied RB to roster
Chaos replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Most draft prognastication websites have Roschon Johnson projected in the third round. -
Only because I agreed with your premise that Orlando Brown was not great last year. I won't make the mistake of agreeing with you again.

Lamar Jackson as TV analyst? It’s logical.

I was thinking Madden and Summerall. -
You may have Orlando confused with Spencer Brown, who was tragically awful. But Orlando Brown also was not great last year.

You can hate on PFF. But they are far more reliable the the JFR ratings. So it simply is true. Below average in 2022.

Not whipping boy, just a guy who is using up more cap space than his production so far has warranted.

Jeudy has out performed Oliver. WR is a far more expensive free agent resigning cost. Jeudy has 2 years left. Oliver has 1 year left. what do you mean they have "5 year controllable contract"
-
ok

Why would Denver make this trade? It is the opposite of what they seem to want to do, which is trade out of a 2 year remaining contract for a 5 year rookie contract for a first rounder. Why would they take on Oliver?

This seems like lunacy. -
That would be. I really will be shocked if Morse plays more than half a season. And his play was really declining last year. At this point, he is a below average center.

The goal of a number 1 draft pick is to get a five year starter playing under a rookie deal. Not to get a player for two years who will command full market value of a FA after that.

Anyone up for adding an edge rusher before the draft?
Chaos replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
draft Nolan Smith in the first and sign another vet oline men. Old edge guys that are cheap are cheap for a reason -
Chiefs signed LB Drue Tranquill, formerly of the Chargers, to a one-year contract. Tranquill was a part-time player for the Chargers for three years but stepped into a larger role for the 2022 season. He started all but one game for LA last year and his numbers exploded. He led the Chargers in tackles while totaling five sacks plus 10 TFLs. He also forced a fumble and picked off one pass. Pro Football Focus graded Tranquill as one of the league's best inside linebackers in pass-rush and coverage situations. He should slot into a starting role for Kansas City in 2023. maybe we will be getting this level of productivity out of one of our former backups this year.

Get a grip. Previous poster tried to conclude that bettors like us the same because we are in the top 10. I was just pointing out that is factually wrong. Facts are facts even if they make you sad.

Singletary—inarguably above average statistically: discuss
Chaos replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is only meaningful if the context of how many 3 and 1-3 yard situations are given. If Singletary is used in 80% of those situtations and is converting them 100% of the time, he is an incredible stud. If he is used in 10% of the situations and converts 50%, then he is just getting conversions by the element of suprise on occassion. So your statistical support doesn't really allow any conclusions to be reached. -
If bettting odds are the proxy of Super Bowl liklihood, we peaked at +125 last season. Meaning our odds are 6x worse now than at peak betting odds love for the Bills last year. If we go to preseason, we have gone from +400 to +850, meaning the betters think our changes are less than half of last season. So quite clearly trending downwards, among betting money.

He is like the next qb off the board after the initial run. If someone like the saints or Seahawks wants him, they might trade up. If Robinson is gone , there does not seem to be other positional players that are so talented teams are going to move up. Saints are not a good example they would wait until 29. The bills and bengals are not going qb. But if day the Seahawks liked him at 37 and thought the saints liked him at 29. They might trade to move up ahead of the saints
