  1. Seems like Rashee Rice should be added to that list.
  2. This is what a poorly coached team looks like.
  3. “Penalty enforcement: Verifying the proper application of rules and penalty administration.” And it wasn’t illegal formation. It was illegal motion.
  4. That’s simply not true. If people would spend 10% as much time learning the rules as they do complaining about the officiating, there would be a lot less to discuss, I suppose. The NFL has expanded the types of plays where the AMGC can provide objective input to the on-field crew. For the 2025 season, these include: Penalty enforcement: Verifying the proper application of rules and penalty administration. Spot of the ball: Confirming the correct spot relative to a first down, goal line, or end zone. Complete/incomplete passes: Replay can confirm the result of a reception. Boundary lines: Confirming if a ball or player touches a boundary line. Game clock: Making sure the game and play clocks are managed correctly. Specific fouls: Input is provided on certain objective fouls, including hits to the head or neck, horse-collar tackles, or tripping.
  5. Change PI to match the college rule. Make it spot of the foul up to a maximum of 15 yards.
  6. So to be clear, you’re upset that the refs didn’t call the penalty timely enough? If so, I agree. They should have called it immediately. They got the call correct, but it would have been better if the flag had been thrown sooner. That said, the timeliness of the flag had no impact on the outcome of the play, so we can all take comfort in knowing that the call was made in accordance with the rules and that the game was not impacted by the officials nearly letting the Lions have an undeserved TD.
  7. Here’s the rule as written in the rule book: Item 3. T-Formation Quarterback. It is legal for a T-Formation Quarterback to go in motion, whether he has placed his hands under center, on his knees, or on the body of the center. However, it is a false start if the action is quick and abrupt. If the player fails to come to a complete stop for at least one full second prior to the ball being snapped, it is illegal motion It is also illegal motion if a T-Formation Quarterback goes in motion and fails to come to a complete stop for at least one full second prior to the snap. There is nothing prohibiting the officials from conferring about whether the QB broke a rule or not any more than there is to prevent them from conferring about intentional grounding, illegal touching, or any other penalty. The officials got it right. Just admit that you wanted the Chiefs to get screwed by a missed call.
  8. Where did you come up with this notion that refs can’t confer about a penalty? It happens all the time, particularly when it comes to intentional grounding. How have we reached the point where we’re crying about referees getting calls 100% correct? There is a rule written specifically for this situation, the officials enforced it, and somehow that’s evidence of a conspiracy.
  9. Based on absolutely nothing other than a wild guess that would connect a lot of dots, I think he’s in rehab. He had surgery a year ago, and pain pills can be a MFer. He seems like a great kid. Whatever it is, I hope he comes out of it in a good place.
  10. The Pegulas have left an absurd amount of money on the table by keeping the teams in Buffalo. Whatever faults they have, their commitment to the city isn’t one of them.
  11. Sure, but the team is 4-2. Is your view that the roster is so talented that a minimally competent coach would be enough to just roll their helmets onto the field and be 5-1 or 6-0? Take Philly’s roster from last season, for example, since they won a championship. QBs aside, how many players from the current Bills roster would have started on that team? Cook, Brown, Dawkins, Shakir, and Benford are probably the best players on Buffalo’s roster. Do any of them start over Saquan, Lane Johnson, Jordan Mailata, AJ Brown/DeVonta Smith, or Slay/DeJean/Mitchell? Benford is the only one who would even have a chance, and even that is only a “maybe” given his play this season. Of the 21 starters, you could count on one hand those where the 2025 Bills would have an advantage. Now that Eagles team might have had the best roster I’ve ever seen, but it still speaks to the talent gap that McDermott has to overcome in order to take the team from what it’s been to champions. (And that Eagles team also started out 4-2 with a loss at the Falcons.)
  12. Would they? Take Josh out of the equation and look at the roster. Better yet, compare it to the 2022 team. That team had an elite #1 WR in Diggs (1426 yards and 11 TDs) and the much-maligned Gabe Davis (836 yards and 7 TDs) to go with Singletary, Moss, and Cook at RB. Defensively, it had Von Miller, 27 year old Tre White, Hyde, Poyer, and Edmunds as well as Benford, Rousseau, Oliver, and prime Milano. That team got crushed by injuries, but the roster was light years ahead of where it is today. Part of that is simply years of drafting at the end of the rounds catching up with Beane, but that doesn’t account for all of it. Dalton Kincaid may be the only addition of note since then, and even he’s been more potential than production. From where I sit, McDermott is taking a beating for not spinning straw into gold. Meanwhile, Beane has had what appears to be 3 consecutive lackluster drafts and a revolving door of free agent disappointments (Hardy, Sherfield, Samuel, Palmer, Hoecht, Ogunjobi, Bosa etc.). Heck, one season of Mack Hollins might be his crown jewel of the past 3 seasons so far. What should Sean realistically be expected to do when the offense has 1 weapon and you’re forced to run guys like Cole Bishop and the corpse of Tre White out there on defense?
  13. You could be right. The bigger issue is that Cook is the only weapon Josh has. Shakir is extremely effective as a role player, but he’s not particularly well-suited as a focal point of the offense. With Kincaid being out, that really ties Brady’s hands. Watching the Lions play on Sunday night and then Buffalo play Monday night, the talent gap in weapons is striking. Goff has Gibbs, Montgomery, St Brown, Williams, and LaPorta. It’s easy to look like a genius play-caller when every button you push has a stud on the other end of it. Brady’s got to choose between spreading it to guys like Coleman, Shakir, and Knox versus grinding Cook into dust.
  14. Shady had 20 pounds on Cook, and he didn’t exactly spend his career in Buffalo budgeting for a deep postseason run. Cook had 53 carries in the playoffs last year. I don’t think that giving him nearly 50% more carries than he had last season and then expecting to increase his load even more in January is a recipe for success.
  15. Cook is on pace for over 300 carries on the season. He’s already rushed 107 times in 6 games while his highest total in a season is 237. If anything, they’re going to have to find a way to use him less if they want him to be healthy in January. Just for the sake of comparison, Derrick Henry has 88 carries so far and Jonathan Taylor leads the league with 115. I agree that he needs to be on the field during the money downs, but this means his touches will need to be significantly reduced the rest of the time. He’s just not built to carry the ball 20 times a game for 20 games.

    Keon WTF?

The Bills were absolutely right for letting him walk. It’s a low-key great move by Beane. Just saying that Davis had a really good 4 year run in Buffalo.

    Keon WTF?

Gabe Davis is the most under-appreciated player in Bills history. Dude was a 4th round pick and had 2700 yards and 27 TD catches while earning less than $4 million. Players have got $100,000,000 contracts for doing less than that.
  18. That call might actually help Buffalo.
  19. Why even bother rushing him? Penix throws quick, but his release is so low that you can knock down every pass.
  20. Good job keeping that from being a big play.
  21. For the love of God, stop amplifying this hack.
