Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy on Jake Fromm
BeastMaster replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wasn't that in a dome? Try doing that in NewEra -
He's got a better shot to be the guy then anyone else has since Kelly, so I'm behind him...as is the rest of the organization which has done mostly everything right and has assembled a top notch roster and culture. But you're failure to believe is noted... I will also give him that. I think McDermott has shown some serious flaws, but he's obviously done well building a culture and a very good defense. He has to show more of a killer instinct instead of playing things on the side of caution, and he has to be better when matched up against Belicheck.

Any Bills Cut candidates with trade value?

Addison is without a doubt a better player Wow -
Any Bills Cut candidates with trade value?

So you don't like a much better player in Addison, but wanna keep Trent Murphy? Ooooooook -
I honestly don't see much of a difference between Dalton or any other bum. Dalton constantly implodes during games. He may take more stupid risks than a Stidham would. Don't care who they have at QB TBH

Bills fans so traumatized by the Pats that they are scared of Andy Dalton??

Pats / Bengals videotaping... still no punishment
BeastMaster replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is completely ridiculous, I agree. Unfortunately, it's nothing new with the league and the Pats. I'll hold off totally ripping them until I see what the "investigation" turns up and what the penalty is, but I don't imagine it'll be anything of significance. -
Opinions on a hypothetical trade
BeastMaster replied to offsides#76FredSmerlas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
John Brown isn't known as an Ironman in his own right FWIW. AJ Green has dominated for years. He decided to sit out the remainder of last season after the Bengals were in the tank so he could be 100% if he was able to be a free agent. I doubt John Brown is in this teams plans after his contract expires the year after next season. AJ Green is healthy and will most likely return to pro bowl form. Keep looking to hit singles while champions take home run cuts -
Rd 5, Pick 167: QB Jake Fromm, Georgia

He has some seriously tiny hands also which will make it harder to throw and explains why his combine throwing sessions was abysmal. This kid will throw ducks like no other if he plays in NewEra -
Opinions on a hypothetical trade
BeastMaster replied to offsides#76FredSmerlas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This would be a no brainer deal for the Bills if it was on the table. AJ Green is an elite WR with the ability to dominate a game...John Brown does not possess such a thing. -
PHI Eagles projected to be $40+M over the cap in 2021

Howie Roseman is an awful GM that handed out deals to nearly every player who was on the SB team as a reward...about as dumb as it gets besides maybe BoB. Howie will be on the hot seat and most likely fired at season's end -
How do you judge a team's offensive line?
BeastMaster replied to BritBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well I think you can judge alot in terms of the run game and their ability to win at the line of scrimmage. Last years Oline left alot to be desired in that area for me. Pass blocking is much harder to judge as others have said, but they did seem to have problems dealing with heavy blitz packages from my perspective. Overall...I saw the line as middling, and I wanted them to get better. There's some hope with continuity and possible improvement from Cody Ford, so that is the bright side. The not so bright side is that if they can't show good improvement and Allen and Diggs don't develop a productive relationship, then we may have an unhappy receiver who will voice it in the media. This is my biggest concern this upcoming season. I really want to know the line is a non issue in such a big season for Josh Allen. -
Exactly. It's clear the organization is all in and looking to win a title. Should Allen not show the necessary improvement, I would expect a team with high expectations to at least bring in someone that has a chance to supplant Allen. And I'm as big of an Allen supporter as they come, but he's gotta become a better quarterback.
-
He had multiple offer this season but chose NO...doubtful he isn't afforded the same opportunities again no matter how next season plays out. The main point was that I would bring in as much competition as possible if Allen doesn't show enough in this crucial third season. Substitute Winston with any vet QB that has shown ability and the potential to be a good starting QB.

So season opener, then???

I would rank the AFC as this 1. KC 2. BAL 3. BUF 4. CLE 5. IND 6. PIT 7. DEN 8. TEN 9. HOU 10. NE 11. MIA 12. LVR 13. NYJ 14. JAX 15. CIN KC must remain atop until someone knocks them off. I think Bills and Ravens are the only teams that could do it in the AFC. Baltimore has a great roster, but I still question their offense and QB. Can be contender or a playoff failure once again. For me, the question for the Bills is Allen and the Oline. Oline must be better and help the run game and give Allen better protection...especially when teams bring pressure. If they get those things, they can beat anyone.. I think most that were high on the Browns last year were a season off. They are loaded on both sides of the ball and have vastly improved the line, so Baker should play fairly well. Coaching will also be better. Indy and Pit are veteran teams that have some talent and are well coached...should be in the hunt. Denver is a possible threat that may be good on both sides of the ball. MIA could possibly make some noise if Tua is who some think. Nobody else is worthy of mentioning IMO.

Niners trade Marquise Goodwin to Eagles

Him and Wentz will have lots of bonding time in the rehab center -

BeastMaster replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I came away from that game very unimpressed TBH. Lots of dink and dunk throws...one where his lack of arm strength shows on a intermediate throw to an open receiver in the middle of the field. The throw you referenced was a good throw...although in our stadium he probably can't make it. I don't think he'll be fine, but if he's a cheaper Barkley, I suppose it's an OK move. I believe we need a good backup QB, not a guy who may struggle to make the throws needed in our own building. -
Cal's Post Draft Grades (Mod edited) LAMP!!!!
BeastMaster replied to Cal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Someone that can actually be able to throw in NewEra would be nice. This kid is the same as Barkley...will not be able to hack it in Buffalo, and maybe not anywhere. It's a 5th rounder, so I don't care too much...just think it's a wasted pick. -

If the league is allowing cybernetic arms now, then it's a great pick
