New York Yankees 2022....Aaron Judge sets AL record with HR #62
Greg S replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in Off the Wall
Alonso is having a monster year. 54 RBI's already. Losing him for an extended period of time would hurt. But Buck is doing a great job (so far) managing them this year. -

The Blue Jays and Rays are still hanging around though. But the Yankees should win the division barring injuries or a major collapse. The Mets are also in good shape in the NL East. Long way to go but both teams should make the playoffs this season. -
No injuries that is priority #1. You want the starters to start getting into game shape and shake off the rust. You want to see how the rookies do. But most important is no injuries.

Another day and another win. This time 10-4 which is a "bad" pitching day for the Yankees the way they are going. 40-15. Do you realize if the Yankees play just .500 from here on out they would win 93-94 games. 107 games left so .500 means 53.5 wins. The Yankees will play better barring any injuries. My guess is 100 - 105 wins when the season is over. -
Does this Pats fan make sense? 🤔 I HATE to admit I agree with him.

He is smart to stay in the NFC. The AFC is staked with good/great QB's. In the NFC you have what Rodgers, Dak as his main competition then maybe Murray, Cousins and then nothing. I may be missing someone but I don't see any other QB's out there in the NFC. -
If Miami had a QB I might be a little concerned about them. Jets had a good offseason but the reports here in the NYC area is Wilson is struggling in OTA's. The Pats have Belichick but like the Fins no QB. This is the Bills division to lose and they won't. I just hope they win enough to get the #1 seed.

Actually its sooner if you go by the Bills first preseason game. Can't wait.

My bad. Thanks for the correction.

I know this won't happen but I wouldn't mind Fitz signing with the Bills for the vet minimum. Let him compete with Barkley to be the backup. Only reason I mention this is because Fitz has never made it to the playoffs and he probably would still be a serviceable backup to Allen. It would also be nice to see Fitz finally experience what its like to make the playoffs. Again I know it won't happen but the one day contract thing would be a nice touch.

Bills drawing plenty of betting action to win super bowl
Greg S replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
I expect them to be better against the run. They may not finish with the #1 ranking next season but I think they will be a better D overall than last year. They will( I hope) do better against good offenses just by being better against the run and the improved pass rush. On paper it looks that way. -

Blowing a big lead at Houston and especially 13 seconds. I don't trust them. -

The AFC is loaded but I expect the North and West to beat the **** out of each other. The South is between the Titans and Colts but they have 2 hapless teams they can grab 4 wins against vs the Jags and Texans. McDermott's teams are 0-4 on the road in the playoffs but 3-0 at home. With how tough the AFC is I really hope the Bills get that #1 seed. I don't trust them on the road in a big spot especially in the playoffs. -

Wouldn't the Rams be the one with a "Super Bowl hangover" plus isn't Donald looking for a contract extension. If that ends up being a distraction well that can help the Bills. Week one is the best time to get the champs IMHO. -

So much for flying under the radar this season. We will be getting every teams best shot. -
Is Joe Brady on the staff in case Ken Dorsey flubs it?
Greg S replied to Utah John's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Dorsey will be just fine. He has been the QB coach and worked with Daboll and Allen these past few years. While Dorsey may tweak some things I expect they will keep mostly the same offense and same terminology. Why fix it if it isn't broke. -
Nice win by the Lightning yesterday. Even it up Tuesday night then all of the pressure will be on the Rags for game 5. No way they want to go to Tampa down 3-2. Lets go Bolts.

This has been one enjoyable season so far. I didn't think the pitching would be this good. I think they already have 7 or 8 shutouts on the season already. -
I don't know what to make of Jones. The Giants OL is trash so that doesn't help but he neither looks like he can be "the guy" or a scrub either. He seems average. He isn't a Schoen or Daboll pick and I believe the Giants didn't pick up his option. This is a big year for him otherwise I see the Giants moving on from him next year.

This past season was a weird one in the EC. There really wasn't a playoff race this year as the eight teams that made it had a comfortable lead throughout the season. It will be a challenge but if the Sabres continue to improve then maybe they can be in the mix for a WC. Just looking at the Sabres division you have the Lightning, Leafs, and B's as three tough teams to keep up with. In the other division you have the Canes and Rangers as tough teams. The Pens and Caps are competitive but their star players are starting to get older. While the Isles had a bad year after back to back ECF they could get back into the playoff race next season.

I would still have Kelly #1 and Kemp #2. Both of them already played a full career. Kelly led the team to 4 Super Bowls plus all the playoff wins, regular season wins, AFCE titles. Allen is starting to do that as well but he is just getting started. I would still rank Kemp over Allen because of the back to back AFL championships. At this point Allen has passed Ferguson to move into #3 on the Bills QB list. I agree with you that Allen will be #1 when its all said and done. He still has a lot to accomplish before he becomes the greatest Bills QB. Right now 1. Kelly 2. Kemp 3. Allen 4. Ferguson When Josh is done playing 1. Allen 2. Kelly 3. Kemp 4. Ferguson

If they manage to win the Super Bowl this entire Bills team will be considered legends in WNY not just Allen. If they win I am driving up from NJ just to be at the celebration/parade. It will be epic. I think every Bills fan all around the world will make every effort to be at that.
-
Coming off back to back 2-14 seasons Kelly was viewed as a savior for the franchise during those horrible times. Just look at the reaction of the fans during Kelly's first game.

As far as QB's go its going to be really fun watching the AFC this year. Aside from Bills games I am looking forward to watching the AFCW this year. Mahomes, Herbert, Wilson, and Carr. Those divisional games are going to be exciting.

How many days until game 1 of the preseason?
