  1. They made the playoffs. Mostly because they drafted an upgrade at QB. Mac may never be elite. But by drafting ANY QB in the first round, and spending a ton of money on recieving threats in FA, how can anyone say they aren’t prioritizing the passing game? You can argue it won’t work, but you can’t argue that they aren’t trying.
  2. Lmao where'd you get ur MD
  3. I mean, Joe Burrow is way better than Kirk Cousins. Who could argue this?
  4. Absolutely, but still way better than when he started.
  5. They were the #2 offense in the NFL. And their odds of "scoring" on a particular drive were less than 50% 😆 I bet you hit on 18 in blackjack.
  6. In 2018-2019, under the new rules, there have been 79 onside kicks and the kicking team has recovered 5 of them, or 6 percent. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/11/03/onside-kick-success-dropped-from-21-percent-to-6-percent-after-new-rule/ No. KC only scores on <50% of their drives. Those are horrible odds. Don't go to Vegas
  7. Sure he can but I’d rather have Joe Burrow. He had an OUTRAGEOUS 8.9 YPA last year.
  8. Lol the Pats drafted a QB in the first round and spent the most money ever on receiving targets. How are people so wrong
  9. You would almost certainly never onside kick in that scenario. Higher chance for a tipped pick, fumble or just a turnover on downs driving 80 yards. And if you don’t, you still need to score twice to win.
  10. I mean, you have to rate your chances of just getting lucky vs putting together a super team sans QB. When you look at the history of the NFL, particularly in the last 20 years, there are a handful of teams without “elite” QB’s that won titles. Some of them had good teams with solid QB’s who got hot, some had incredible defenses with bad QB’s. Would the Giants have been better off trying to find a better QB than Eli? A guy who, outside of two historic playoff runs, was maybe a little bit better than Derek Carr level QB? Is there a universe where a little less luck has Eli being a better version of Jimmy G who got his team close but ultimately lost to the better QB? Joe Flacco has as many Super Bowls as Russell Wilson, but he wasn’t the same caliber of QB. Joe Flacco wasn’t close to as good as Rivers and Rivers never sniffed a SB. IMO, teams that have a “good enough” QB should do exactly what they do in the NFL. Build the best possible team around them, hope they get some luck and string together a few wins in the postseason. Lamar is good enough. Jimmy G was good enough (when healthy). Every team can’t tank until they get a top 3 QB. Every team can’t punt on the season just because better QB’s exist. Look at the Raiders. Some folks say “why are they trading for Adams when they have the worst QB in the division?” And my response would be, what else are they supposed to do? Just forfeit til Mahomes and Herbert retire? The Bills are unique in the sense that we went from “no QB” to “great QB,” after 20 years of waiting. Most NFL teams don’t do that. Most teams eventually have starter quality QB’s over a period of 10 years, that can win games with a good enough team around them. The 49ers had Smith and Jimmy in the last 20. The Ravens had Flacco and Lamar. The Bengals had Palmer then Dalton then Burrow. Cowboys had Romo then Dak. The Bills strategy is the exact strategy you don’t want. They would have been in the exact same boat Pre Josh Allen if they drafted a QB every year. Except they may have actually made the playoffs more than once.
  11. Fitz either aged like fine wine or is a perfect example of modern NFL rules/offense benefiting QB's. Fitz's first 8 years in the NFL: 59.5% completion percentage, 6.4 YPA, 92 TD's 81 INT's. Terry Bradshaw numbers Fitz's last 9 years in the NFL: 61.7%, 7.3 YPA, 131 TD's, 88 INT's. Jim Kelly numbers.
  12. Kirk Cousins vs Joe Burrow?
  13. I think Deshaun Watson is kind of a weirdo and did some untoward weird stuff.
  14. Jamarr has 1 year body of work with the much better QB. But I get your point.
  15. As we continue to bear the doldrums of NFL FA, I thought this would be a fun little debate. QB’s eliminated because their trade value is STAGGERINGLY high. So, topic title. What player currently in the NFL, currently under their existing contract, would go for the most in a “we are shopping X” type bidding war? I think there may be one clear answer. And my pick is Justin Jefferson. Superstar? Check. Affordable contract for 3 years? Check. Young with potential? Check. I’m sure the AD’s of the world will get tossed around, but he’s older and with a big fat contract. I think JJ is potentially in the most valuable NFL player currently.
  16. This whole topic was an elaborate ploy to expose @Alphadawg7's bball buddies
  17. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/derrius-guice-works-out-with-great-attitude-lot-of-energy-at-hub-football-camp-hopes-to-relaunch-nfl-career/ Had some legal trouble, accused of some bad stuff, but was a second round pick.
  18. Seriously. Is posting on TBD “worth it?” God I hope so.
  19. LMAO this is hilarious. The Chiefs can now add a player (like MVS, nice). Excellent use of $10M. They can also trade for a defensive player. Which defensive player? Idk. Someone. Maybe. They can also draft players. They can package those picks, and get instant impact players/stud WR's. The classic move. Everyone knows working a little package action in the third round ALWAYS means instant impact. Ya'll should hear yourselves. The Chiefs are like the old Pats to you.
  20. I would rather have the fourth WR than the 1st RB in the first round. Pls and ty
  21. If only we could draft a player like Kamara or Henry or Montgomery or Cook without using a first. Alas
  22. We had a massive hole at gunner.
  23. Excellent total post. How many times do we have to watch this song and dance? The Demarco Murray to Zeke to Tony Pollard saga is the EXACT reason you don’t draft RB’s high and you don’t pay RB’s. Murray went from the best RB in football to out of the league in two seconds. Zeke was great for a couple years and fell off a cliff. I would love a superstar RB. I get it. But it’s not necessary and they are USUALLY bad investments. And it’s bad team building to not treat them any other way than BAD investments. There is not a single instance of a 1st round RB being a good long-term investment in the last decade of the NFL.
  24. Diggs can’t catch every pass. Teams start 3 WR’s and 3 CB’s. Diggs and Tre understand this. And Von Miller has 2-3 years left. We ABSOLUTELY should be still taking shots on pass rushers while he’s here. Having a bunch of good pass rushers is a GOOD thing. Having a bunch of good receivers is a GOOD thing. What you shouldn’t do is throw high picks away on positions like RB and OG that you will let walk if they are Pro Bowlers. The goal with the first round pick is to acquire players you plan to retain. Those are players at impact positions.
