I take it back. So many folks were saying dumb stuff about paying Burrow etc, I thought your point was that playoff teams were struggling week 1 and they were tending down. I realize you just meant those teams historically struggle in those places. So apologies.
-
Oh man, I wonder who went to the AFCCG the last two years. Must've been the Browns with records like that lmao.
-
Again, Joe Burrow had 4 picks vs Steelers week 1 last year. The only real trend is people calling week 1 performances a "trend" lol.
-
And a TE top 10 lmao.
-
Notable highly paid QB Kenny Pickett. it’s week 1

Okay. Sure. You’re on record that no price would’ve been high enough for a dude who was suspended for a year for gambling. Noted.

Why would anyone want our second compared to the Jags second, after the Jags were horrible in 2021? You know the other team has to want what you’re selling, right?
-
So we would have had to give a conditional 1st to best their second lol
-
Do you know what Ridley went for?

What?

He's unleashed now that Greg Roman is gone! - Colin Kaepernick and Tyrod Taylor fans

Didn’t we beat the Dolphins 35-0 and 26-11 in 2021? Lol

My man, he’s trolling. High effort trolling, but trolling. He will sit there all day accusing you of putting words in his mouth, then set up something you’re “implicitly saying” to beat it down. At first I thought it was just a gap in logic, but it’s too consistent. It’s a troll job.

Is this Bills team better than the 2020/2021/2022 versions?
FireChans replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Edmunds was a perpetual disappointment because he was not traded up for and drafted at #16 to be just a decent player at the NFL level. Even more frustrating was that his obvious and incredible physical gifts did not help him make the amount of plays that he was expected to. It was like watching a guy with Josh Allen’s physical gifts play like Jimmy Garropolo. He managed to have the best year of his career while playing on his fifth year option (after two mediocre seasons) and get paid in FA. Glad he walked and we didn’t pay. You do not win football games paying decent players great salaries. -

I simply cannot agree that the WR group sans Kincaid is better than 2020 but I hope you’re right. I think “better depth” is really overplayed and overfactored. -
Coach who has won 2 Super Bowls in 4 years gets a longer leash, more at 11

They look like Garbage. Their OC was a super hot HC candidate last year. this is why you go when the NFL calls your number. If the Lions take a step back, he may get fired rather than get an HC job

I really ducking hate Detroit

Chiefs without Kelce looks a lot like the Bills 2022 offense. Mahomes trying to put the team on his back every play.

Interesting Buffalo News article on Dawkins
FireChans replied to Toledo Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dawkins problem isn’t keeping the weight on, it’s keeping it off. Every Bills generation has a tub of goo. It used to be Dareus. Now it’s Frosty from Wendy’s the Schnowman. -

Do you think Harty/Sherfield will have around 600 and 450 yards each, respectively? -

Calling the WR room better than 2020 makes no sense to me personally. Diggs/Brown/unwashed Cole/Davis. Gabe Davis was WR4 in that room! -
I personally don’t agree on the JuJu thing and think you may be overstating his value a tiny bit, but I hear what you’re saying. I would say that the #1 seed thing is a little overblown given that we lost at home. I think the Jaguars may have beaten us in the divisional round last year. Ultimately, I think our chances of winning an SB last year went out the window after the Hamlin incident. Too much trauma for a team to remain locked in (understandably so)

Bernard, Torrence and Benford all officially starters
FireChans replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s a total specious argument. And while I have nothing personal against @Shaw66, he makes the same specious arguments year after year. “Beane isn’t concerned about IOL because he didn’t address it.” ”McD isn’t concerned about safety play without Hyde because he has Hamlin and Cam Lewis” ”Beane isn’t concerned about our WR after Diggs and Davis or else he would have done something else.” Etc etc etc. every year it’s “I’m not worried about this position group because McBeane didn’t do much so they must not be worried either.” Someone had to tell this man that just because something is ostensibly plausible does not make it true or even likely, shout out @birdog1960 and @Jauronimo. As a side note, these arguments always come out after the fact. Prior to Edmunds leaving in FA, we would have NEVER heard that the brain trust at OBD thinks the MLB position is the next fullback. -
I actually disagree that the records would not be different. I think that IOL is and has been a major Achilles’ heel on this Bills team since 2020. But I hear what you are saying, the lack of a true defensive superstar has also hurt, a lot. Von’s injury was a major blow. He was also available the year prior via trade in which he remained healthy for the Rams run but hey. I will continue to hammer this point forever, which I think you would agree. The biggest difference between the best season of this era (2020) and every other season is that 2020 had the best overall OL and overall receiving group. The defense wasn’t even that good that season and it was still our best year. Now, do I think we win the Super Bowl if we swap classes? No. Do I think we win the Super Bowl if we sign JuJu instead of Crowder? Also no. But it’s a combination of being second or third best in the conference in FA/draft and other major decisions that, surprise surprise, keep us second or third best in the conference.
