  1. Take the better player and figure it out later. Passing on Luka for Marcus Bagley for a better fit type beat.
  2. Draft Nolan. Trade Ed for Addison preseason. ????? Profit? In all seriousness, I get that argument. It’s probably a more macro way of looking at the Bills or long term v short term. I do wonder if trying close the gap because we “are close” all the time is going to come back to bite us though.
  3. Why? how many years does Ed have left of good but not great play? He’s gonna be 28 in December. He doesn’t strike me as a guy who is gonna play til 35
  4. Josh had his worst receiving core since 2018 last year. Not sure him having to be Superman less than last year is the correct take. Did he play somewhat smarter and safer? yes. Did he benefit from having a good OL and a good running game? yes. Were nearly all of our explosive plays off-script crazy scrambles that only he made with regularity last year? also yes.
  5. Man I’m just trying to read a fun thread and I have to see this?
  6. Yup. There is no rookie that played on the Bills since 2018 and I was ever like "wow this guy should be on the field more." Maybe Josh but they were trying to protect him. The ones who are ready, play. Rousseau, Ed, Tre etc all played a ton out of the box. Milano took some seasoning. So did Bernard. Guys like Elam, Bishop etc etc all didn't play a lot and when they did play, they were pretty bad.
  7. 2024 looks like a complete disaster. The first 3 picks don’t look like full time starters any time soon and they had very limited competition ahead of them. Ray Davis is fine. The rest of them are total question marks but maybe one of them shows something. SVPG may make things easier for the IOL decisions in the future at least. 2023 is disappointing but fine? Kincaid is like a league average pass catching TE. Sort’ve Edmunds type disappointment where he’s not the worst ever bust but the expectations were at least “really good player.” I think the odds the Bills decline his fifth year option are -400 right now. OCT is a starter. He may be the worst starter on the Bills OL but that’s not saying a lot with 2 excellent OT’s and the other IOL guys playing some of the best ball of their career. Biggest concern I have with him is consistency. He was kinda bad down the stretch as a rookie which isn’t uncommon and started off slow in 2024. Seemed to improve as the year went on, but then much like other Bills, was kind of bad in the AFCCG. Dorian is fringe starter/backup but after a shaky year 1 played a bit better in year 2 imo. If he continues to improve, I have no problem with him competing to replace Milano in a starting capacity in 2026 vs a rookie or mid-tier vet. It’s very rare teams pay 2 linebackers anymore so I would expect Bernard’s running mate to be a rotating cast of characters. Alex Austin may actually be a legit player. He was solid in NE from the brief I’ve seen. Kinda in that Dane Jackson tier where if you get a guy that can get on the field and not be a complete disaster and noticed right away, that’s the best you can reasonably expect. Lots of time left though. Lights can come on for lots of these guys. I just find 2024 disappointing because the opportunities were there for Coleman and Bishop to take. They weren’t playing behind entrenched starters. It was the perfect season for them to get experience and grow.
  8. They probably could have gotten a first for him last year lol
  9. Got scrolling through the first page and was really nervous that no one said this yet
  10. They made 2 conference championships and a Super Bowl with Brock. I wouldn’t pay Brock but they whiffed so bad on Lance, it’s not hard to see why they are strongly considering rolling with him. That plus Shanny’s ego of his system probably makes him believe in these guys more than the market would.
  11. Philly and Buffalo will still be excellent at regular sneaks. Probably the two best teams because they have the biggest strongest QBs. Much ado about nothing
  12. That’s actually a wild admission. Wow They had to give him the contract otherwise he wouldn’t have come. He was locked into going to Atlanta until the Browns made a godfather offer. If Deshaun Watson went to Atlanta, he’s probably been to a superbowl right now. Because the Browns got him, he became a disaster. Thats browns football baby
  13. They redid his contract last year and he took a paycut. not sure there is much more blood to get from that stone
  14. There’s a real philosophical debate if the 10th best WR is more valuable than the second best CB.
  15. Sawyer would need 10 gas mask videos to fall to 170
  16. I’m actually kinda in on it. His value can’t be high. His contract won’t likely be super cost prohibitive. Easy to get out in 2026 if it was a disaster. Is the bidding for Aiyuk starting at a third round pick? That’s Rasul Douglas price.
  17. I had higher hopes than 3rd string at two positions.
  18. What does Dewayne Carter do here was my main takeaway
  19. I can see the QB controversy brewing from here @Jauronimo
  20. So we went from "we needed to sign Benford" to "we need to improve the defense" to "maybe he refused to come here" to "he sucks anyway." 0/10. No points for effort.
