  1. I could see that and would have no problem whatsoever with it. But I don't see it as comparable to the Stroud scenario because your BiL was not expected to go back out on the field any minute and lead his team. Having so little control over your emotions that it hurts your brothers in the middle of a game is the deal-breaker for me. I don't see it as appreciably different from taking a couple 15 yrdrs because you were pissed off about a call and couldn't get over it.
  2. Probably related to draft position. Or just his instability manifesting itself.
  3. There's nothing wrong with that at all. But I bet he's never done it in the middle of a game.
  4. I don't even know who you are anymore........
  5. I never really noticed until it was his turn to buy a round and he couldn't fit his hand in his pocket. Food for thought........
  6. I've watched a lot of football games over the last half century and I have never seen anything quite like that. I don't want to be a hardass meathead and question his manhood, but it is such an outlier that I think it's valid to wonder whether it was appropriate.
  7. I get that; I really do. I'm not ashamed to admit that I've been there. I think that taking care of your business while tears are streaming down your face is noble and worthy of respect. Hiding and acting so distraught that people feel compelled to drop what they're doing to come and console you is less so, imo.
  8. No. He just told the ref that coach was coming toward him to call one. He still probably should have kept his piehole shut though as that certainly is not part of his job description.
  9. <notes to self "keep a closer eye on that rascal, Chas"...>
  10. Mocking people for not accepting the differences of others, while you simultaneously insult them for interacting with the world differently than you, is probably not really helping you make the point you want to make. Physician, heal thyself.....
  11. I think the key word here is "after". At which point I think you are free to let her rip. But during a game, when you have a lot of people counting on you to hold your end up, I think you need to have your shlt square and and be ready to do the job that's expected of you.
  12. I don't recall seeing anything about anybody's masculinity in the original post. He questioned the guy's maturity and leadership, not his masculinity.
  13. Exactly how many different people have to tell you that it's beef on weck, not wick.
  14. I have long believed that Cam Newton could be officially designated as intellectually disabled if he chose to be.
  15. I think Watt is hurt and playing on one leg and Heyward is a shell of himself. Highsmith is still a player but any problems that front creates right now have ot come mostly from coaching, imo.
  16. I don't think they're a great team, but they typically will not shoot themselves in the foot like everybody else who plays KC. They can keep it close throughout and still have a chance to win by not making a mistake late.
  17. I'm about to leave for a holiday football party and if I root for the Ravens it will annoy he hell out of everybody there. That's all I've got.....
  18. Spags backside blitz on that 3rd down where Stroud stupidly ate the ball ended this game.
  19. I haven't seen Texas enough to comment. I will say that I have always generally agreed that usually the top 5 in the SEC, the Top 4 in the Big 10 and Oregon are the 10 best teams in the country.
  20. An hour ago, absolutely. But in the 4th qrtr, that has ramifications that likely affect the scoreboard late .
  21. He might be able to get to 4. But telling me that a 5 loss Florida team is better than Penn State is worth a kick in the jimmie....
  22. Well at least now you've hit your quota for the day
  23. I still like you and all so I'll pretend I never saw this
  24. That's fair. He's not slow but his long speed doesn't match his short area quickness.
  25. A buddy of mine (a large man who was an all-state LB in HS) was having a party in Pburgh back in the day where Craig Heyward showed up and started causing some trouble. Buddy (who is now a brilliant MD) proceeds to sucker punch Ironhead right in the face. Heyward didn't so much as flinch then proceeded to chase my guy all over their house. Enough guys ran just enough interference for him that he managed to escape through a window.
