Kaiir Elam is a liability any time he is on the field
Simon replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
That was not necessarily a bad penalty. Corners are supposed to be extra handsy in those EZ situations with the clock winding down (see: Taron Johnson). I guarantee you he was not the only DB with a handful of jersey on that play. -
Numbers suggest your narratives are wrong on the offense.

And Diggs, who also carries some of that load. -
I thought I saw him as well, but the OP said it was Von out there. Maybe they were both getting snaps. 🤷♂️
-
They'd been saving Von all night and wanted him on the field in crunch time, I guess. And while Epenesa is improving, he has not become a better player than Floyd yet.
-
I said on 2nd down that I hoped he'd trust his defense and let Bass try it to go up 8. I stand by that and think it was the right call.

Suggestions on how to address the Bills sudden offensive struggles?
Simon replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's a designed waggle, imo. I think Allen has been seeing the field very very well. -
You wanted them to eject most of the Giants DLine all at once because of some shoving and wrestling on one play?

I don't expect December's Kincaid to look like September's Kincaid. -

It's Kincaid when he catches up. -
I saw that too, almost like the snap was later than he was expecting

Recognizing and overcoming his habit of being too handsy on that late ball was a step forward for him too. He's also going to catch way more hell than he deserves on the DPI he took, but it wasn't necessarily the wrong play and I bet he wasn't the only DB with a handful of jersey out there in that situation. -

They timed several of those really, really well. Kind of like a few in the Jax game last week. I wonder self-scouting/quality control should speak up a little bit. Young Mr Cook is going to give me a coronary sooner or later. -
Or maybe it will get folded into the already existing Fire Ken Dorsey thread and somebody will take a minute and try to start a better one?
-
I think if Dorsey is more conscientious about not always letting defensive sets dictate to him, that he can call an efficient diversified offense that better suits this team. It feels like he gets in ruts at times and defenders can smell it, which makes things harder on everybody. Some hard positional coaching from the WR and TE coaches to minimize all the self-inflicted wounds is probably necessary as well. Thoughts? Edit: Please feel free to take any screaming "Fire Him, Cut Him, light his yard on fire!" takes elsewhere. I will help you with that if necessary.
-
I'm afraid so. Perhaps it will screech itself out of rotation and a more constructive and interesting one will take its place. 🤞
-
He needs to stop letting defensive sets dictate to him and just call the diversified offense that we've seen him be perfectly capable of calling. If he stops outthinking himself, he'll probably be OK. I bet a straightforward meeting with the head coach this week will get that message across very clearly.
-
They are outthinking themselves on offense. This is historically one of those times that McDermott pulls the OC into a closet and tells him what's what.

He stumbled and misplayed a pillow that would have ended the game -

Yeah, I clearly have no idea what I'm talking about but your mindless screeching is right on the money. -

I have a suspicion that Kaiir Elam might grade out better than y'all think tonight. <ducks> -
