your numbers are i think driven by simple necessity - how many elite QB prospects come into the league every year? Very few. Most teams simply aren’t in a position to replace these guys with perceived improvements in any given year.

and let’s not forget the aftermath of this either, where BPD PR released a statement claiming the man “slipped and fell.” Implying of course that it was just an unfortunate accident. No mention of contact from or even confrontation with the police on scene. Why would Mike DeGeorge omit those kinda important details in the initial statement? Either he decided to lie or the police at the scene lied to him (or intentionally omitted some “minor” details.)

Well you’re accusing me of fallacies as though I was making a formal argument. I wasn’t. I don’t like King for too many reasons to go into here. Only thing I shared was that opinion - of course I engaged in ad hominem insults, I intended to. King’s history in my mind justifies this. Plus, it isn’t as if King’s stupid blurb followed any logical rules or forms either, so no it didn’t occur to me to use any to call him wrong. as for “Diggs vs hypothetical rookie X Y or Z” no you’re right neither side can point and say well we know this so about him so we can definitely predict that. But only one side can support their stance with at least some prior relevant performance indicators. That’s Diggs. His past apparent attitude problems may be a problem, they may not. You seemed to be keenly focused on those attitude issues though, as if you think they are predictive. They don’t bother me so much.

For those asking, “what were the cops supposed to do?” How about this: safely restrain the man, zip tie him, and book him for disorderly conduct? I am judging the trade using the information we had at the time the trade was made, not engaging in future “what-ifs” like King and apparently you are. it’s because phone-it-in personalities like peter king fall for the same mystery box fallacy that so many here do. There is absolutely no guarantee any of those receivers he named become as good or better than diggs. If fact, given how good diggs already is at 26, chances are none of them will. But King’s a lost soul at this point. For all those other outlets’ preseason rankings mean nothing, King’s mean less than nothing. Disappointing people still give him clicks 2 decades after he peaked.

The Minneapolis mayor said the same thing Thursday - that everyone they nabbed was out of towners. Then he walked it back. I’m just saying we don’t know. i think you may be right. I also think there’s no way of knowing for sure unless they arrest main agitators and find out where they’re from. But trust, I’ve lived in Buffalo my whole life, I hope you’re right.

not so much a leap, but it is a hop. Yes there are organized groups that take advantage of civil unrest to generally cause chaos. But this isn’t just all them. There are genuine people out there protesting (i know several in buffalo that were there) that certainly have nothing to do with antifa or any other boogyman org you want to suggest.

It’s not going to make sense because it’s not supposed to. It’s an emotional reaction, not a rational one. And honestly, an emotional outbreak like this may be the only thing that gets something done. It’s not fair to the businesses that got torched, or the car owners’ that got trashed. But this is what is going to happen and keep happening when things like Floyd keep happening. sucks i know. Institutional reform is the answer, but that takes time and effort which we don't really value anymore.

I understand Tyrod being on there since he was the QB when they ended the drought. And stevie was an electric player and personality. But kyle williams is the answer.
