  1. this is a very good point - the people condemning the protests don’t seem to ever offer an actionable alternative. They look and point and say those protesters, kaepernick, all the rest are “bad americans” and hate our country. I never see people like @Cal or anyone else proposing an alternative for these people. once again, kaepernick took that time and place and form to protest because it offered visibility to his cause. He never intended any direct attack on our military, our flag or our country in general. He’s said as much himself. The fact that many of you disregard his intent and take offense anyways is, frankly, your problem.
  2. not necessarily. Some people kneel to pray. Sometimes people stand and pray. Some sit and pray. Some prostrate themselves to pray. It’s almost as if what’s “proper” depends on a person’s particular religious perspective. Maybe think about differing perspectives of people in this country before you make judgments. Or don’t and carry on being so sure about your moral rectitude.
  3. outlandish stuff like this is why you get very little respect around here. Sort yourself out.
  4. Thanks for sharing. You’ll be missed ?
  5. Singletary is Shady incarnate. Just wait till Daboll cuts him loose.
  6. just speculating - maybe Singletary was a little behind on certain things like pass protection, his route running on passing plays, things like that that might have kept him off the field. Daboll still should have given him more carries though, especially after Gore started his late season decline.
  7. Toss up for me at this point - neither has any significant pro experience as a basis to form an opinion. If you want to go by college production and act like that will always translate to the pro game, then sure, it’s hard to take Simms seriously.
  8. Cook’s very good, but RB just really isn’t a need right now at all. I think some people have forgotten how good Singletary was last season. Daboll’s biggest sin last year was not using him more (understandable to a certain extent, since he was a rookie.)
  9. i’ m all ears. How does it ideally “go both ways?”
  10. thank you for picking up on my obvious sarcasm. Look we love thirsty jets’ fans around here we feed on that desperation. Fact is personally I was wrong about josh allen i thought he’d be a washout. Darnold I was even weaker on. Both have exceeded my expectations. But you have Gase, so you’re going go lose at the end of the day.
  11. good luck with that - Darnold has nowhere near the talent of Mahomes and if Sam tried some of the **** Mahomes does in-game, the results will be comical. But hey! We’re all rooting for your boy over here. Let’s hope he doesn’t turn into that interception machine he’s trending towards ?
  12. Eh, a push to get OJ off the wall just gives more attention to OJ, which is what he seems to want given his recent twitter history. I would rather just leave him up and not worry about it or him ever again. damn that post you quoted got clipped in record time. Good job mods. ?
  13. well okay. People are killing you in this thread but honestly you just sound naive, which is understandable. But those people assaulting a guy outside of Dodger Stadium were hardened criminals; they don’t represent the vast majority of fans. And yes, I’ve been witness to rough heckling of opposing fans at New Era as well (most of it good natured.) But these examples you give: the tragedies at Dodger stadium, the anecdote you received from some guy in high school - shouldn’t lead you to “cringe” every time you see a guy in an opposing jersey in a stadium. I’m sure he’s fine. And if you ever wanted to do something similar, I’m sure you’d be fine too.
  14. so you’ve held on to this life lesson from a high schooler for this long huh? what did the kids at day care teach you?
  15. Not necessarily. Just trying to help you out. Being accurate/splitting hairs, I guess you can take your pick.
  16. i do believe you and like I said I’m aware you very much know your stuff related to law enforcement. I just know that in that baltimore case it was floated at the time that that is what happened to that guy and contributed to his death. Not and never would call you a liar just surprised you did not hear about that.
  17. Yes, and many times when it rises to where politicians are pressed to call for indictments and reinvestigations it is because of corrupt law enforcement in the first place. So your point is???? and for someone who is so knowledgeable about LEO issues in general (and I know you are) to claim you “never heard of” the rough ride BS? Head in the sand I guess.
  18. it only becomes “political” for some when someone does something that diverges from their own personal politics. So you’re exactly right Gun.
  19. can we also talk about the fact that your screen name is a partial quote from a movie (i.e., a piece of entertainment, like a football game) with an overt political message about conformity, elite control and anti-consumerism? My goodness the irony is thick as molasses.
