to your points about the union, I think many players know all too well that their union is weak - and criticizing union leadership in public would only end up making it weaker.

I’m not advocating for any sort of additional benefits for opt-outs, just relaying what the league said. But it’s clear the players aren’t satisfied.

As it stands right now, players who opt out can elect to receive a $150K advance on their 2021 salaries. That’s it. Obviously doesn’t apply to any players who are not under contract for 2021.

it would have to be a scandal involving Snyder himself or just reckless, criminal non-oversight that would lead to a Sterling-type situation. And from what I’ve read, Snyder has, for years, ingratiated himself with people like Jerry Jones by falling in line lock-step with Jerry’s opinions. So I don’t think he’s burned as many bridges within the owners’ circle as you would assume. don’t get me wrong - i despise the guy just based on his manipulations of the local media alone. I would love to see him thrown out of the league on his ***. I just don’t think it’s going to be that easy.

Well the deal was $35 mil over 7 years. If they “stop paying” (assuming they are even paying in installments) then they are in breach of contract and of course the county can attempt to remove the name from the stadium.
