It was a Total Access interview. It's on the NFL app but there's no share option. He actually said it with a lot of emphasis, like he's annoyed that people are making a big deal out of it.
What I think is happening is the Bills are exclusively focused on just making the playoffs. They haven't thought much about possibly taking that number one seed. It's this interview as well as Josh's comments from a couple weeks ago when he made the comment that they know the number of wins that are typically needed to make the playoffs and they're "just trying to get number 8." Fans might not like to hear that their goal is just the playoffs, but I think it is what it is.
Let's keep the fifth-worst kicker in the league... Great idea!
If Beane is throwing money at players to boost their confidence, that is all kinds of screwed up. The problem is I believe that's exactly what happened.
He already has. With a better kicker, we would be 10-2 and control our destiny for the #1 seed in the AFC
He actually is one of the very worst kickers in the league. Stats don't lie for kickers.
What? What kind of cereal is this and how do you know Murph eats it?
Knowing how NFL game plans often go, we'll probably run up the middle exclusively since they'll be expecting us to attack the edge.
I think there are four Pro Bowl QBs in the AFC: Jackson, Mahomes, Watson, and Allen. One of them will appear in the SB, and the other three will go to the Pro Bowl.
The New York Times model is the best, in my opinion.
Lose out: 54% chance of making playoffs (this is probably what Cynthia Frelund will have, LOL)
Lose out until beating Jets: 96% chance of making playoffs
Win out: 56% chance of #1 seed
Win out and Chiefs beat Patriots: #1 seed

Dude... There wouldn't be a need for tiebreakers against the Patriots...
Bills: 13-3
Ravens: 13-3 (lose tiebreaker to Bills because we beat them)
Patriots: 12-4
How so? Chiefs beating NE next week gives them 3 losses. Us beating them gives them four losses and the #1 seed to Buffalo. If we beat Baltimore and KC beats NE next week, THE BILLS WILL CONTROL THEIR DESTINY FOR THE #1 SEED
