  1. What happens if he gets hurt?
  2. It's a relative concept and it depends on what a person feels they're worth. All people should have the stones to pursue what they think they're worth. Most people don't. They shrivel and accept what they get. If Cook wants to go after more, as is the case with most premier NFL talent, then by all means go get it. It doesn't mean he's less of anything. Teammate, player, or otherwise. We need more players who think they're good enough to hold out. So many people on here applaud Beane for all these guys he signs to a 2nd contract. Newsflash, the Beane special is a reflection of a player who doesn't think he is worth more on the open market more than Team, Process, and City. That isn't a good thing. Cook is the only hold out we have had in the entire McD era. We need more of these situations, not less.
  3. This has nothing to do with Cook. This is just outdated fans with outdated logic and outdated notions of the NFL today.
  4. and he's not doing anything outside of his contract is he?
  5. Honor what? They're one sided contracts. A team doesn't have to honor anything.
  6. Based on what? It's his place of employment. Would the greater good exist for you if you felt you were drastically underpaid?
  7. In other news, water is in fact wet
  8. To me the worst possible position a franchise can be in is having a Dak or a Tua, where they're good enough to likely demand franchise money but they aren't in the Top 5 or so guys that can really change the outcome. Such a difficult spot for a team and so hard to handle it correctly. We saw Dak and Tua get the bag. Baker didn't, then Baker ends up doing what he did. To say we lucked out would be an understatement.
  9. I'm thrilled he's the Dolphins starting QB. Just enough to lock them into purgatory forever.
  10. You just watch him vs any team that doesn't suck
  11. Far greater chance it doesn’t matter. But sure, for week 1, it’s a big game.
  12. I don't think insulting somebody's mom after they passed is a foot in the mouth moment. You miss a 100% of the shots you don't take. We have people here striving for excellence.
  13. Hell, I say keep him out until he's 125%. He doesn't need to rush back for the Ravens. These injuries are very tricky. We need him most for the home stretch.
  14. Kalshi, which does contract wagers on all sorts of things has the Seahawks and Patriots after Cowboys as far as where he plays this year. Not sure why those two teams but it involves money so probably a bit more juice to the squeeze than other rumors.
  15. You keep arguing things that nobody is disagreeing with. I said bring him in if possible. Use your firsts, do whatever it takes. This was about Milano, you keep talking about other things. If you want to disagree then make a post about how Milano can be both worthless to us, and somehow valuable to them. How he can spare us cap hit and quality, yet move the needle in a trade. He’s barely played the last two years. No value, and what value he has would be best served with Buffalo his last year.
  16. Smart enough to not spell defense correctly 😂 Look, it’s a stupid trade off. We could get an all pro year out of him. But his perceived value is very down. Find another path, I’m all for it. Including multiple first rounders.
  17. This had nothing to do with it. You should try and get him. Milano was still recovering last year. You’re not bright to think a one year deal to Dallas is worth enough to move the needle. But his upside to us this season is strong.
  18. With that logic we don't need to upgrade anywhere
  19. Pretty sure if he’s back to form it would be a major drop off. Our depth at LB is trash.
  20. Milano is not a guy you want to part with this year. I think he will be back to being a stud.
  21. I have also requested a trade
