  1. ^^this^^ I NEVER send back food regardless, i just wont eat it and if i'm still hungry when i get home i'll grab a snack. I've had several food service jobs in my youth and saw what cooks do to returned food and also i'll never eat fried chicken from a grocery store.
  2. i'll check it out, Steam is a default app on my devices.
  3. and i could probably commit to that; as it is i jump on xbox with a bunch of buddies and play World of Tanks for an hour or two each weekday night. We'll see how long it takes to get to 60 and what the endgame content appeal is; i'll fire up a priest and see what happens. i'm pretty immersed in gaming (sounds odd when i say that @ 48) but have never given C&C a try, without looking it up, it's a 3rd person (top view) base strategy game correct?
  4. i still have 1 or 2 left in my garage fridge from the comeback last summer, feeling nostalgic?
  5. now that i can see and i always respected the main/offhand tank and pushing is OK, but we were logging in at a specific time on Saturday/Sunday, if you missed 2 raids you dropped to the B and C groups and they simply didn't progress. I was a healer so i get it i'm being counted on but it became too restrictive, i prefer more casual guilds. i really like WoW but Ultima Online (and maybe it was the place/time) was my favorite ever, UO original was just, awesome for me. I'd stay up all night, skip work, buy the best modem (33.6k FTW) and play/think about that game non-stop. UO - DAoC - WoW was my MMORPG path.
  6. I was on WoW alpha, quit @ BC because i hated it; skipped LK and came back for Cataclysm; loved Mists, hated WoD and Meh on Legion and while i've carried my subscription i've played BoA sparingly. From Mists on i was in a hardcore raid guild and that soured my experience, like raids, just not when it's a 'job'. I'm intrigued by classic and will give it a try, my first char ever was a NE warrior but i may work the priest (disc) first. I dont have the time i used to so it'll be methodical progress.
  7. Candidate 1 - 16 games - 2 INT - 3 FumRec - 59 CombTac - 41 SoloTac - 9.5 Sacks Candidate 2 - 16 games - 0 INT - 0 FumRec - 76 CombTac - 42 SoloTac - 9 Sacks one is graded a D+ the other one certainly isn't; granted one is a single season and the other combined career but one of the candidates didn't post those numbers until their 4th year, for which, Shaq is just entering... I'm not insinuating Shaq is ranking with one of the top DE's, i am saying that opportunity, system, quality of the players around you all come into perspective; some are ready to crown candidate 1 as elite and others are calling Shaq a D+
  8. meh - just as abstract as "nothing there"
  9. ding ding ding! D already is very solid, potentially great and O is fragile
  10. ^^ this here; have the Jets committed to not playing him all preseason? link? i'm also with Biscuit on this, his body is healed and well rested, rust for a running back may be vision but he's gonna perform. Now, that one full contact hit he takes vs the 'glancing' blows he's been used to may have some effect.
  11. about 3 years ago Charbroil introduced the gas2Coal line and i grabbed the middle-sized grill in the line and have never looked back. In fact i've gone online and bought every individual part so i can frankenstein my original grill and keep it operational in this dastardly Florida weather. has a charcoal pan that extends the entire surface area, I can lump up charcoal (Kingsford applewood) in 1/3 sections so i can utilize the direct/indirect heating based on my audience. Use the gas to heat up the coals, once they start turning gray, turn the gas off and start cooking. it will also allow soaked smoking chips and i'll sometimes cook on straight applewood if i really want to infuse that smoky flavor, you can regulate heat through propane as necessary, I'm really happy with it and it's a price you cannot beat. it's a simple design, comes in 3 & 4 burner. https://www.charbroil.com/gas2coal-3-burner-hybrid-grill-463370519
  12. thats awesome, i have a vast appreciation for cars in general so i always look at the positives; that M240xi is a beaut and i bet it's a blast to drive! Nimble, quick and responsive. The last turbo i owned was a 1989 Mazda 626gt turbo and i LOVED that car, the turbo starting going @ about 75k and i didnt have the funds to save it. I eventually understand the future is twin turbo and i'll eventually move that direction but until then i'm going to guzzle gas with the supercharger as long as i can I have a '12 CTS-V wagon sitting in the garage undercover (30k miles); as far as the wife is concerned it doesn't exist so when i talk about how many cars we have it's not counted haha. She doesn't get it but i've told her if we ever have to rely on it as a daily driver i will sell it because it deserves more than that; they only made 2k of them. That is a fun car to drive.
  13. Only argument i'll give is we're not talking about the Jags of the 80's, 90's; they've turned the corner, gotten some recent rewards and are trying to improve upon what they got today. I'll admit; I've not heard of anyone buying a Jag for name recognition; in my circle of motorhead friends i would say Jag doesn't even come up. now Alfa, Maserati's you're spot on, i wouldn't even consider and just laugh when i do see them (and they are plentiful in Miami). I owned a 2005 M5 (V10) bought it new and while i loved that car it let me down on many occasions but i will still contend to this day no one builds an interior like BMW but that, with the way the dealer treated me post purchase, the fact i had to carry a quart of 10w60 in the trunk because the engine burned through oil. I soon realized, I will never own a BMW again, ever. As for Mercedes, i've never owned one and probably won't just due to the dooshy vibe they have; some are very pretty and classic looking, just dooshy, like really super dooshy; maybe i'm biased with the last 18 years of my life spent in LA; EVERY super doosh out there drives a Mercedes. We'll see about Jag's, i ordered an F-Pace SVR in March and it's set to deliver next week, it'll be my first but i'm at the age where sports cars are in the past and I was looking for an crossover with some muscle and the Alfa didn't have the aggressive look i wanted. The supra looks gorgeous, i'm just not into cars as my daily driver anymore...
  14. my parents would certainly tell you my HS grades didn't pave the way for my current compensation level ?
  15. meh - sands the "putting your body on the line" (which isn't a secret BTW) he just described... a job the consequence model here is making hundreds to thousands to millions and what's required; he's in the latter and doing that off the talent god gave him, he made the choice and organized football has been quite predictable for many years; he made his bed, slept in it and made $15mm - my sympathy is lacking here... he realizes the $$ wasnt worth it - ok a mature statement but he's still walking away with it still; i challenge him to give it all to charity and go find a job (desk, field) and earn a salary then come back and give me his words of wisdom.
  16. this right here. I want to say this is too outlandish for even him so i think it's a ploy to attract followers (look at this thread alone); clicks and viewers to the series, i bet this all blows over once the season starts, with the exception of more mild shenanigans just to keep him in the limelight; he's gonna struggle to post those numbers going forward regardless of his ability or those around him. now he's stating he'll sue the NFL if he's injured in the new helmet? only reality TV would make this a thing. if i were that much more of a betting man i'd say he's scared of fading away and becoming 'normal'
  17. From the law enforcement officer perspective I get that, the kid (the one being detained) called into dispatch, i wouldn't even know who/how to call dispatch if i was being pulled over. just seems odd to me. i thought it was how the article was written but in the video you hear him tell the cop "i told the lady at dispatch i was driving to the city"...
  18. "Before Werts was pulled over, he called dispatch to say he would pull over closer to town, where it was better lit." am i reading this right? the guy had police dispatch on speed dial? anyone else find that odd? also was his car used in the remake of Alfred Hitchcock's "the Birds"? did you see that hood? not defending the cops entirely here, the officer could have toned it down but with the chain of events i could see him being aggravated, especially if dispatch didn't radio in the Officer. Plus they aren't chemists, if they have a testing kit and it turns a certain color, well then, they have to suspect it. lastly: "It was just more frustration than anything because I know I didn't do anything wrong," Werts added." you did do something wrong, you were speeding... Edit: and i've been in SoFlo for a little over 3 years now and have made a few trips to Raleigh and Charlotte, it is WELL known Georgia law enforcement will pull you over for going less than 5 miles over the speed limit, i've never been caught but once you pass the state line you see the cops and people lined up along the side of the highway, i adjust my cruise accordingly.
  19. Not sure if this was my first Bills game but my first major memory; Bills - Cowboys 1984 Was freezing and the Bills were up 7-3 but Dallas was driving and my dad wanted to beat the traffic out of the stadium and he assumed it was a loss anyway. Whilst navigating through the parking lot he turn on the radio just in time to hear the bills had just scored to go up 14-3 and that would eventually lead to our first win of the season in week 12; he started pounding his fists on the steering wheel angrily saying "we missed the win, we missed the win...". I've lived in the buffalo area from 1977 and had been a fan since then, my father was big into football so it's possible i'd been to a game earlier (i've seen pictures of myself and my dad being at Raiders games when we lived in NorCal when i was 6.
